When my friend was taken ill the nursing staff gave exemplary care to him, placing his needs first. They managed the situation sensibly and responsibly, liaising with external medical professionals to make sure he had appropriate treatment. The surroundings and the food are great but it's the nurses
and carers who make the difference here. They care about each resident and make the effort to understand them and reach out to them.

Thankfully my mums last 6 weeks before she passed were in Colinton Care Home.
The care and kindness they gave to mum and her family was amazing . Cannot thank staff enough and will be forever grateful

My dad was very well cared for during his recent stay and the staff were extremely attentive and super friendly. Overall I would rate the care home as excellent.

As a family we could not have been happier with the level of care received at CCH. The staff went above & beyond to assist in making the last few months of my aunts life as comfortable & happy as possible.

I do appreciate the care my beloved husband Patrick receives and I know how much he needs it, but although his powers of communication are slow, I always feel that there should be more activities especially at the weekends. Also if a resident requires physical assistance such as cleaning spectacles,
they he must have access to them at anytime he is awake, there was an incident last month. The problem is now resolved.

I was at Colinton Care Home for respite care. In every way the care and help I received was excellent. I had a very nice comfortable room with ensuite. The carers were puntucal, very pleasant and cheerful and provided excellent care and help. Many Thanks.

When visiting Colinton Care Home, I have always found a warm welcome from the staff. The home is always clean and tidy, and the residents are well cared for. I have no complaints whatsoever and am very grateful for the genuine care shown to the residents.

My Godmother was looked after so carefully, lovingly and professionally in her time at CCH. When she died there of dementia, the staff were wonderful, ensuring we could attend before she died and shedding tears on learning of her death, nothing but praise and thanks.

Overall my experience of Colinton Care Home has been positive. The care staff have been excellent with good attention to detail. They have been supportive and kind.
This has been an exceptionally stressful time and whilst both my mother and I have felt supported by the care staff, the same has not
been my experience of the administrative staff.
My relationship with the admin staff has now got to the point where I do not feel able to ask any questions or engage in any communication.

Our godmother had been at Colinton for almost 9 years and during that time has been very well looked after. All the staff have been great, looking after our godmother care and dignity. We could not have asked for any better care. Thank you.

Very happy with the care home. The staff went out of their way to treat dad with dignity and respect and invested a lot of time in settling him in when he moved there in August. All staff were extremely kind and caring. There are lots of activities on offer and the staff worked hard to involve as
many residents as possible in them. If we raised any minor issues, they were dealt with immediately. Very happy with the home overall.

My aunt stayed In Colinton Care Home for a short respite visit. She thoroughly enjoyed her break, and the beautiful home cooked food. I personally found the staff very caring, and compassionate also the feel of the place was very homely, and I think that's very important. I would thoroughly
recommend this excellent care home.

We as a family decided that my dad needed to go into respite care so that my mum could have some rest from giving 24/7 care for my dad. My dad has been in other care homes for respite care which were very good.
Colinton Care Home is a step above well staffed and all exceptional in the dementia care
they provide, very knowledgeable, attentive and approachable not just for my dad but to our family as well.
Within minutes of entering the home, staff were there introducing themselves and looking after my dad.
We can't thank all the staff and management enough.

Mum only stayed for a week's respite but she is already asking for her friends. The moment I stepped into Colinton I could feel there was a lovely atmosphere, both the residents and staff were welcoming and happy. The staff were lovely with Mum and she's enjoyed the social side of staying in
Colinton. I think it's only a matter of time before she's back. Thank you for being so lovely to Mum.

Colinton Care Home has provided my mother-in-law with a safe space to live, with friendly staff who go above and beyond to help the residents and their families. The nursing and care staff got to know my mother-in-law and her needs and desires, making sure she was well cared for and that she could
still live as independently as possible.

This was Mum's first experience of respite care, and all the staff were caring and considerate taking time with Mum. The room was clean and fresh, and I would recommend Colinton to anyone who is in need of this service. Thanks to the manager for her patience and time to help us navigate the process.

My mother has been a resident of Colinton Care Home since March 2024. The staff have all been extremely kind and attentive, and she is being well looked after in a homely setting. She feels safe and secure, and we as a family are very happy that she is receiving the best care possible. Staff have
been very helpful and welcoming to all family members, and nothing is too much trouble for them. I highly recommend Colinton Care Home.

Mum has been in Colinton Care Home for nearly 3 years. When she was first a resident, she was able to mobilise, chat and interact with everyone in the home. All the staff were and are absolutely fantastic and so caring towards her. Mum now needs assistance with everything and I cannot fault the way
she is cared for by everyone. It is all the staff who are caring towards all the residents and will always have time to have a chat or help anyone. I am extremely glad to see the original manager back as the Manager and she leads an amazing team. There is always a warm, happy, and friendly welcome when you come in, this continues with housekeeping and activities staff.
It was an extremely hard decision to put Mum in a care home but we could not have picked a better one. I am able to be more at ease knowing Mum is safe and well cared for.
I love going to visit her and have now have many friends there.

As a family, we were lucky when Colinton took our Mum in from hospital in April. Mum had lived independently and was 91.
The care Mum received from everyone in the home was exceptional. All the staff were so happy and helpful and very caring.
Thank you for everything you have done for us and Mum.
