My Brothers stay was awful -the manager claims my brother wanted to move to be nearer family yes that is true but he also wanted to move due to feeling unsafe at Applecross -due to resident being in his room during the night numerous times also numerous items including monies going missing virtual assistant device, missing vapes , cigarettes, mobile phone all missing - the Social work & Police Scotland had to be brought in - my brother felt very unsafe - also items were added to sundries list that i had in actual fact bought & paid for myself & Applecross tried to charge me for them also -who actually spends £100 on taxis in one day? they tried to make out it is what my brother asked for - the cleanliness left a lot to be desired as i have stated to management previously i have witnesses to certain things that transpired at Applecross - so the manager can continue to deny what has went on - i would say please consider very carefully before letting your loved ones reside here - NOT SAFE
Always polite and helpful, care given to father is excellent. Any issue they contact straight away, day drips in August, father enjoyed.
Always excellent. From signing in to the actual visit. Since mum has moved here, we have noticed a big difference in her behaviour. In a very positive way. She is smiling all the time. Superb care. Staff are all great. Special mention for the activities team. Fantastic.
Very happy with mum's care, staff always happy to help, she seems so happy and relaxed which is a good comfort to us.
Made to feel at home. Staff attentive. Improvement in brother.
Staff and management are great and so attentive to all the residents, nothing is ever too great or small. Dad's needs are well catered for and the staff are great at keeping us informed of any medical needs. Also, he has enjoyed being taken out a few times to the local park and seaside.
Happy with the care and support my mother in law receives, she is very well looked after. Facilities are excellent from days out to entertainment in the home itself.
The care my mother receives is excellent. Always very clean and smartly dressed. Hair always done. The cleanliness is always excellent. The facilities are also excellent, from games and entertainment in the home to days out. Very well cared for overall.
After a sudden bereavement my sister who has Multiple Sclerosis had to find suitable accommodation to meet her needs. She moved into Applecross in February and has settled in very well. In her own words she feels safe and cared for. The staff have been very attentive and caring and she has also got to know other residents and has been taking part in activities. It is a great relief for us to know she is happy in her new accommodation and that she feels safe and comfortable whilst having the opportunity to take part in activities and outings. Her room is comfortable and we have been able to make it feel homely.
Very friendly and helpful. Every single staff member. They listen to our concerns, suggestions etc and they act on them. They are efficient and know what they are doing. They have a lovely attitude towards the resident and do their best to see that they are well cared for.
Our brother has complex and occasionally challenging care needs. It was quite difficult to find a suitable home for him when he could no longer look after himself. After searching the greater Glasgow area, including visiting and rejecting some other nursing homes, we feel we hit the jackpot with Applecross. It's a lovely home in a pleasant location, and we have got to know so many wonderful and professional carers and support staff in the 3+ years that our brother has been living there. We are confident that he benefits from all the care that he needs, he is absolutely in the best place for him, and there's always plenty going on if he wishes to participate. We can't thank the staff enough for taking such good care of him!
Excellent service. Biddable and courteous staff. Information easily available.
The staff are very kind and patient with my mother. Lots of services are provided for the residents. Feels like one big family.
I visit 3 days a week and I find the home very clean, staff are always busy but happy to help. It's a nice place to visit.
Mum went into Applecross Nursing Home during Covid. The amazing care staff kept me updated during the settling-in time and with their excellent care got her to a healthier place. The staff are understanding both to Mum's condition and all that entails and to family. As a family we are kept updated and Mum's care place is reviewed regularly. Nothing is too much trouble and I can leave knowing Mum is well cared for.
Before my son came here 13 years ago I went to various care homes and found Applecross to be superior to any other. Over the years it has gotten even better. The staff are wonderful, activities second to none and the management very approachable. Highly recommend this nursing home.
Very happy with the treatment and facilities. The staff are attentive and helpful. Mother-in-law seems to have settled in very well.
