View Full Details of Almond ViewMum has been in Almond View for 2months now and the care and attention she is receiving is excellent. The staff are very friendly and attentive and available at all times keeping us well informed of mums progress. As a family we are comforted that mum is safe and well looked after. After looking around at several care homes we are more that satisfied that we have found the right one.
Great wee place. Staff are brilliant with mum. My sister and i couldn't be happier with the level of care she receives. Place is spotless clean and all the meals are lovely and most of all mum likes it, which is the main thing
My Aunt has settled very well into Almond View and I put this down to the friendly and approachable staff. There seems to be a calmness in the home that shows in the residents. A lot of thought and effort has been, and continues to be put into activities and my aunt for one, enjoys and looks forward to them. There is a lot of recreational areas allowing the residents to have a choice at all times on where to sit and relax or take part in activities. Pleasant place to visit and from what I can see, a pleasant place to live.
Absolutely fantastic place for residents and their families. Couldn't ask for any more from the staff . They have went over and above for arrangements for my mother. Thank you very much to all the staff from all the family
My mum moved into the care home in May 2025. On arriving at the home my mum was little anxious, the staff made her feel welcome and she was more relaxed. I can't thank the home Manager and the staff enough they have made us the family feel very welcome nothing is to much bother and the staff go that extra mile. My mum has made friends with the staff and other residents, this give and my family a peace of mind know she is well looked after. She alway looks clean and well cared for. She has been putting on weight and staff offer alternative choice if she doesn't like what is on the menu. I can't thank the staff at Almond view enough for all their support in helping my mum settle in.
My relative was made very welcome and the care team made her very comfortable. They helped her deal with her anxiety . The staff members fully explained to the family members the process of admission. The room was prepared and and comfortable. Within a few days there was an amazing change to the my relative. She was relaxed and interacting with staff and other residents. Staff have always been approachable and give advice and appropriate information. The care home is very well maintained and provides a wide choice of activities. From my family members experience I would recommend the care home to other families.
Excellent home my mum went in October 24 at beginning I was unsure about home but the care and attention my mum got from domestic staff careers and nurses was amazing and when my mum was at end of life they all staff went above and beyond nurses were all angels in disguise xx thank you all so much
I can't fault Almond view, the care my mum gets is superb. Every member of staff is so kind & helpful nothing is a problem to them. My mum has settled in & loves it. 5 stars.
I cannot praise the staff of Almond View highly enough . The care and attention given to not only my sister but our entire family as a whole has been outstanding . The meals are fabulous - my sister is gaining weight . We love the cafe on a Wednesday and try to come for this as often as we can . The activities really are excellent - there seems to be something for everyone . The atmosphere in the home is happy and welcoming . The nursing staff are attentive , reactive and kind . The manager is visible and accessible . I honestly couldn't recommend Almond view enough .
The care my auntie receives is fantastic, the staff are so good with her, very friendly and approachable for us all as a family too. Always give me updates on how she's doing and are happy to find solutions to any issues that pop up not that there are many.
My mum was transferred to Almond View Care home where she was made to feel welcome after 12 weeks of care in the hospital where she was severely deprived of stimulation resulting in weight loss. Within three weeks of the transfer, she was gaining weight, interacting with staff, other residents, and attending activities three times a week. It was therefore tragic when she had a stroke just as she was starting to make such magnificent progress. Luckily, Almond View also does end-of-life care and we were able to get her back to the surroundings she was comfortable in for her last week. With nurses available 24/7, they ensured she had a peaceful and dignified passing with everything being done in a caring rather than a functional way. I also could not have been treated better for that final week, with 24-hour access and genuine kindness being shown by the staff. From the home manager to the cleaners, everyone cared, and that is what makes a great residential nursing home.
My Gran has been a resident at Almond View for just over a month. The difference in her is clear to see for all, she is safe, happy and has put on weight since being in the home. The activities are fantastic, always something on for everyone, great atmosphere and all the residents seem happy. The staff cannot do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble. I always feel welcomed. Management is approachable, visible and knowledgeable and guided us as a family through the whole process of moving Gran into the home.
Our mum was admitted to Almond View Care Home from hospital. We knew she was going there for end-of-life care and so did Mum. She was in her 90's and physically failing but still enjoyed a chat and music and cheerful company. From the day I visited the home before Mum was admitted, until the day she died a few weeks later my sisters and I were met with friendly smiles and helpful staff. Mum was treated with respect, kindness and warmth. From the receptionist to the manager, service staff and carers, we will be forever grateful to Almond View for making our mum's last weeks peaceful, calming and friendly. This will not be the smartest home in the area but I don't believe you'd find one with more caring staff.
I think the standard of the home has gone down in the last year. Not enough staff to care for residents, a lot of agency staff, especially at night. Not enough domestic staff, cleanliness has gone down. There is a lot of good about the home too. I don't agree with the two homes being put into one home with a new name.
I want to say that there is not a minibus available for activities or appointments nor is there WiFi for residents as stated in the description of Almond View Care Home.
I have been visiting my relative in Almond View for a couple of years and I felt I had to write a review as in the past 6 months or so I have noticed a huge difference when coming into the home. The staff seem happy and the care I have witnessed not only to my relative but others is fantastic, such a caring happy environment and I could not feel more content in knowing my relative is very well looked after.
My mother is now a resident, and I can honestly say the care and support we have had from the team in Almond View is second to none. The staff can not do enough for you or the residents. I could not wish for a better place for my mother to be.
All the staff at Almond View Care Home looked after my mum with respect and dignity. They went the extra mile. They took into consideration that my mum, even though she stopped talking, always asked her if she was ok and helped her with all her meals and drinks. The staff always made all the family feel welcome.
My partner has been resident for almost two and a half years. During this time, excluding lockdowns, I have only seen professional, courteous care by all grades of staff. This purpose-built facility provides necessary equipment e.g. pressure mattresses, hoists and in our case, a custom-adjusted wheelchair was obtained from the NHS. Overall I am content.
I have found any members of staff to be caring, helpful and kind to both myself and my brother that they look after. They are professional in their duty. They are very professional in their duty. They cajole him when he is needing it and are always very cheerful and pleasant.
