View Full Details of Greenfield Park Care HomeOur son has extensive needs which puts pressure on staff, but generally the staff are diligent and in most cases show an affable attitude to him which we think he appreciates. On necessary hospital visits, staff member has been with him which we appreciate. I terms of his cleanliness and hygiene there is obvious evidence of a high standard of care, With regular members of staff he has formed a strong bond with a good rapport. In general he is happy there and thus we are ourselves confident with his care.
our family are absolutely delighted by the care that my brother Charles has always received. It is the best care ever from Claire Gina and the rest of the team. This unit is managed by Clare she is outstanding and we couldn't praise everyone any higher.
My Mum has been a resident at Greenfield Park for just over a year. It was heartbreaking for us a family when we realised that residential care was needed, however in my Mum's case the experience has been nothing but positive. She is thriving and has a life back. She is so well cared for, the staff really can't do enough, she is involved in so many things within the home as well as trips out. Living in France, distance always makes these things more challenging but I can go to bed at night safe in the knowledge of how well cared for and happy Mum is. The home truly has a feeling of "family". Thanks to everyone who look after Mum.
My daughter recently moved into Greenfield from another care home several months ago and has settled in well within the service. Staff are welcoming and supportive and endeavour to look after my daughters needs and are sensitive to her personal care as she does not like personal care from male staff when being supported with intimate care tasks. The unit manager encapsulates everything that you need in a carer and encourages daughter to participate in her care plan and she now goes to other units for entertainment on a Friday if she likes. The hairdresser is always organized when I request and carers in the unit will dye her hair prior to getting appointments. As POA I have contacted OT, SLT and staff always make themselves available to these professionals and support me to forward and update and improve level of care that was necessary from her last placement. I have taken her to various appointments to Westmark and we had to use ambulance service to transport was not ideal!?.
There has been recent changes in the care home which has been positive for our family. Lovely atmosphere the minute you walk in the door the ladies are always welcoming the new manager makes a point to say hello and ask how the visit has went, which is a lovely touch. My mother in law is very happy in the home and enjoys the activities and getting out on the mini bus. The staff are always happy and high energy nothing is ever a bother to them they even offer us tea when we visit. We are updated with any changes, we enjoyed the gala day last month and looking forward to next one.
All the staff are incredibly attentive and caring. They are always there to help with any questions or any help needed. My brother is so content and well cared for. All the staff and residents have became like a second family to him. I can't recommend this care home enough as I know it's a hard time for people and their families when a loved one has to transition into a new way of life in a care home but the staff here made this a lot easier and we can rest at night knowing our loved one is in great hands and well cared for.
I can't begin to put into words the relief I feel knowing how well my husband is cared for. His communication has been extremely poor since he arrived just over a year ago. The staff still know him so well. They spend so much time catering to all his needs. They contact me regularly to update me on everything that is happening. They are so attentive and are always striving to make sure he has the best equipment and appointments for everything and anything that could improve his quality of life. When he lived on his own with carers attending his flat I spent every day worrying how he was coping. The staff here have lifted every bit of stress of my whole family. Whenever I come to visit he is dressed, washed and his room is immaculate and inviting. It looks so homely. The staff have created an environment that feels warm and welcoming and there are rooms for the residents to sit together and enjoy each others company as well as have their own space. I am so grateful we have this space.
Always welcomed at any time. Never have to worry about phoning ahead to say we are coming. My brother-in-law has the highest quality of care and in my eyes a second family in the Westerfield unit. We could not be happier with the communication we receive and how well they know their residents. I couldn't ask for more.
My relative is always clean and tidy and happy when we go in to see him. The staff are very helpful and informative when we ask about his care. The staff are always happy and upbeat making for a good atmosphere. I have one concern about communication with the home by phone. Most of the time when we phone no-one answers and this is very concerning when he has been ill.
Mum was a resident in Greenfield Park and received amazing care. The staff are lovely and always had a smile on their faces when we came to visit, which put us at ease. We couldn't thank them enough for everything they did. This includes the kitchen domestic activities management and front of house. The home was nice and tidy, which isn't easy. We viewed a lot of care homes, and Greenfield was modern, clean, and had a lovely atmosphere. The pub area they have is fantastic. Sadly, mum passed away, and the team was there for me and the family. I honestly can't thank them enough; they even said we are welcome to visit at any time and not to be a stranger, which was a lovely touch. We have shared our experience with friends and family and will always recommend the care home to anyone in need. You made the most difficult choice I have had so easy, and I am glad we picked Greenfield to care for Mum.
Mum looked after well, enjoys her days out with activities. Staff very friendly and helpful.
My dad was a resident at Greenfield Park Care Home Oakly Unit for 2 and a half years during which time he was well looked after by all the staff. He has good communication with carers, cleaners, kitchen staff. Even though he had vascular dementia, he enjoyed some activities when they took him to George Square at Christmas and a trip to Falkirk wheel. I couldn't fault the staff at all especially the nurse who my dad used to have a lot of banter with over his wallet. Unfortunately my dad passed away on 2nd February 2025 although I have been back in to clear his room not once have I heard from any management.
My father in law has been a resident here for 2 1/2 years. He felt safe and was very happy and well cared for. He had a great relationship with the care staff. We would love to thank the care staff, cleaners that looked after his wee house that he called his room, the chef and laundry staff. He passed away in his wee house on the 2nd February. Thank you all for all that the staff on duty that day for being there for him and his family that sad day. However the management should be totally ashamed of themselves, not one of them contacted his daughter or his son to offer their condolences for the loss of their father, not a phone call or even a card. They represent the home and the company so maybe it's just for the money that the residents pay and once they are gone then that's the end.
Excellent care and service. Family atmosphere.
Every Friday is concert day. Very good entertainers. In general good all year round. The staff are very helpful. Management and the carers.
Gran is so happy at Greenfield Park, as a family it wasn't easy putting Gran into care but we know we have made the right choice, my gran loves it when the entertainment is on. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my gran.
From my mum's first day, the core staff and management have always helped Mum through her many ups and downs on her dementia journey. With their kindness, patience and caring for Mum she is now staying in 'her forever cottage'. I would recommend Greenfield Park Care Home where the residents feel safe in a caring environment.
My mum was well cared for by the staff, 2 of the ladies were very good with her, but all the staff were good. My mum enjoyed her time in the care home. The staff at reception were very helpful with any questions we had. Having a hairdresser coming to the home was great. Thanks once again to all the staff.
The workers within the care home are so welcoming, kind and caring. I feel they take great care of all their residents well and truly. They are so generous to all visitors. The care home is a great place for all to be.
My mother was a resident from 2017 till her death in Oct 2024. She suffered from dementia. I live in Australia and therefore could only make occasional visits but when I did visit I always found my mother to be in good spirits and excellent health despite her illness. The care home contacted me by either phone or email if there were any changes in my mother's condition. From my experience I would have no hesitation in recommending Greenfield Park to any prospective resident.
