View Full Details of Ballumbie Court Care HomeVisited my brother today at Balumbie as soon as I walked in I could hear cries of desperation, my brother has been non verbal for a few years (doesn't even make a noise) so I I was shocked to see it was him, his head face & neck were torn to pieces with him scratching, everyone seemed to be oblivious to this apart from one old man who was a patient, he was shouting , "help him , he doesn't like it", so can someone explain to me how an old man who presumably has dementia noticed my brother's distress but no one else did, I had to advise staff to get a doctor, they told me he had been like that for a month, he had an exfoliant & shampoo that they had been using but very obviously not working, the village idiot would have noticed!!! when your brother is looking into your eyes & begging for help it's the most heartbreaking thing you can ever imagine, they finally got a steroid cream to hopefully calm the itching, when are we going to. Stop these kind of things happening!!!
Great care provided to Mum with regular support and communication from all staff. Huge thanks for the recent special birthday afternoon tea prepared with balloons and cake provided. Cannot fault this excellent service.
Since my mother in law has been a resident in Ballumbie Court I have not only seen a significant change in her for the better, but as a family too, we feel the care given to her and overall experience from all the staff, that it is another level of care that we, as a family tried so hard for her. So as heartbreaking as it was, to find experienced care, we as a family know we made the right decision to expert staff, a lovely home, always go over and above.
All staff are excellent, they are professional, courteous, caring and provide the best care. The care home delivers an outstanding service from the facilities, meals, activities both at the home and on trips, rooms and welcomeness of the place. Everyone is approachable, understanding and willing to answer any queries. Overall value for money for everything they do.
Ballumbie Care Home offers an excellent care and attention to patients. They provide activities for patients.
My great uncle moved to Ballumbie late December '24 in between Christmas and New Year. Even though I knew it was the right decision I was nervous. The carers made him welcome and are friendly and approachable. It's been a few months now and my great uncle is happy and settled. He is eating regularly and enjoys socialising with residents and staff. He even sang kareoke in the 'pub' on the first floor. I feel at eat knowing he is safe and happy.
Since the family took a very difficult decision to seek care for my mum, who was being cared for by my dad in their home and was proving to become too difficult. We came to look at Ballumbie Court as we had heard good things. The minute we stepped in and greeted by the manager, we knew mum would be treated like a queen! Every single day we see her thriving and the 24hr care is absolutely 1st class. Thank you to everyone here.
I will miss the warm welcome from staff which I have received in the past four years of visiting my Aunt. Through my experience in end of care they were absolutely amazing and exceptional to all the family which was very kind and supportive. Since the home as been renovated it has been more homely and the changes great.
I am so happy that we moved my mum to Ballumbie Court Care Home. The care, compassion, friendliness and kindness is incredible. As a family, we are reassured that Mum is in great hands. The staff are all amazing and the things that Mum is now doing that she wouldn't before is great to see. Keep up the good work.
I have visited Ballumbie Court Care Home on several occasions since my mum came here in March this year. On every occasion, I have found the home to be immaculate and all the staff very attentive, helpful and friendly. Today is my mum's birthday and the home decorated the room with banners and balloons, gifts and two cakes and staff sang "happy birthday" which was a lovely gesture.
Dad celebrated his 85th Birthday today, we would like to thank Ballumbie Court Care Home for making it so special for him, an extra shout out, to 3 staff members in particular you are an amazing team.
Everything is excellent. We know that the care is great. I can leave her and know that she will be happy and cared for.
Excellent care for Mum. She has settled in no problem. Nothing is too much trouble. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this care home.
The staff have been wonderful, they call me by my first name and always keep me up to date. All the staff are very kind to me and the residents. My partner always looks well-kept.

Staff are very helpful, kind and caring.
A very welcoming experience every time we visit. Home very warm, clean, very caring staff. Facilities are fantastic as are the staff.
I came into the home to visit my gran and she was really happy that the staff had put her new bed covers on her bed and had also put up some of her new pictures of her great-grandchildren up in her room. This made my gran very happy and was really nice to see her room looking so homely and individual to her.
Dad has settled in well since he arrived, and the staff have been very welcoming, friendly and easy to deal with. It has been an easy transition from the previous care home - it is clear to me that the staff really care about the day-to-day of the residents and treat them with dignity and respect. I am happy with the care and the service provided - the team clearly give their best efforts in caring for the residents.
I came in to see my gran, and she had her hair done by the hairdresser, and she had clothes on, which was nice to see as she usually only likes to wear her pyjamas. My gran was having a really good time sitting in the new pub within the home, interacting with some of the other residents. She was also singing and dancing, and this was great to see. The staff were very good with my gran, topping up her drinks and dancing with her was really nice to see.
