For the short time my cousin was with Orchar Nursing Home, she was happy, content and cheerful. The care and attention extended to my cousin by all staff was exemplary. Her favourite moment during her stay was music and song provided by the entertainer with her violin.
I am very happy here and getting on with the staff who are all lovely people and I enjoy all the outings and the weekly music therapy.
A wonderful care home that went above and beyond for my father, who spent 3 months there. The staff were amazing, the care and love shown made Dad feel very relaxed and at home. I can highly recommend Orchar. Thank you lovely people 10/10.
I have been in Orchar Nursing Home for one month. What a wonderful treat, not to do anything just sit and wait for all my designated helpers to assist me with all my needs. So lovely to see a happy smiling face and hear the words, good morning Joan. The we trip off arm in arm and have our breakfast. The food here is just very good, just like home cooking, best bit is no dishes to wash. I feel very very much part of the extended family of Orchar. The whole place shines. The staff are all wonderful.
The food was excellent. The staff was very helpful and I will come back if needed. My two-week stay was passed on to anyone who could enjoy it.
We are delighted that our mum lives with you at Orchar Nursing Home. The level of care is 1st rate. We know that her needs are met. The staff are all genuinely interested in Mum's wellbeing. We feel that she is not simply cared for but loved. Thank you for your great work.
My mother has been a resident of Orchar Nursing Home for several years now. She is extremely happy here and very well cared for. The staff are very friendly, always courteous and treat residents with the utmost care and respect. The food is in plentiful supply and a varied menu is displayed so all residents and families can see what they are having to eat that day. First-class entertainment and activities are available to all the residents and my mum just loves these, especially the singsongs! The rooms are immaculate, freshly decorated and feel very warm and homely. The care home is spotless and redecorated to a very high standard on a regular basis. On a personal note, I highly recommend Orchar Home as I believe it is one of the finest homes around for residents requiring 24-hour care.
Orchard Nursing Home is excellent. The staff are brilliant with residents and families and are with your family member from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. Entertainment, food and rooms are out of this world. Could not have found a better home for Mum.
Lovely home for my mum to live in. Very caring and attentive staff; keep her clean, well fed and contented. Excellent entertainment is provided for those able to participate, and for all levels of ability and disability.
My friend has made a remarkable recovery from being in the Orchar, from all the care and attention she has been receiving. Especially from the activities team, going above and beyond to entertain and keep spirits high. In the lovely weather having my friend sit outside by the seafront enjoying the fresh air and sunshine along with great conversation.
The best thing about Orchar is the vibe. The moment you walk in the door you know this is a happy place; a place of care and love. The staff are always upbeat and keen to help! Get a strong sense that my mother is in good hands.
The home has a lovely fresh smell, always nice and clean and the staff are excellent.
By 2020 my husband was delusional and unable to keep his balance so was falling a lot. Luckily, Fife Council had a 'falls team' who helped to lift him up with the help of a blow-up cushion. Unfortunately, I was calling them out sometimes twice in 24 hours, mostly in late evening when trying to get him to bed. Although we had 3 sons, 1 in USA, 1 in Japan and 1 in UK, I did not have a big family support. My husband in 2021 was diagnosed with Lewy Bodies Dementia and I was advised to find a nursing home for him as a residential home would not be able to care for his needs. After many weeks of searching, my UK son and I found a nursing home where we would be happy to place my husband. Orchar is kept spotless and the nurses, carers and managers are welcoming, looking after all residents and relations.
I would have no reservations in recommending Orchar Nursing Home. Both of my in-laws moved in here over 3 years ago. The staff are wonderful and have looked after our family as if they were their own often doing things in their own time. We live 370 miles away and this personalised care makes such a difference. It's a very happy home. Entertainment and trips out are excellent.
Over the last six months, since my husband moved in, all the members of staff have worked caringly and professionally to make my husband feel welcome and comfortable. Naturally, he took a little time to settle but I found that everything was done to make it as easy as possible for him. I have also found everyone to be extremely supportive to me.
