My mother spent nearly 2 years here. We were under a lot of pressure, moving her up here, and caring for my newly disabled sister. It was quite something. But Belong helped enormously. She had stayed in a care home before, where she was not happy, so we were worried about moving her, especially
since her dementia was progressing more rapidly than we'd expected.
She settled in Tetley household. It was almost like being at home. They cared for her like she was one of their own, until she passed away last October. Dementia is a terrible thing, for the family and of course for her, but she spent her last months in peace and comfort.
Thank you to the staff who cared for her, and particularly Barry.

Dad joined Belong for two weeks respite care with a view to staying on a permanent basis. The stay was organised very quickly at my request after a successful visit and show round and a visit to Dad at his home.
All the staff have worked hard to help him settle in quickly and feel at home. He has
been mixing well with other residents and Jane has encouraged him to join in the daily social events.
We have been impressed with the care and compassion shown to Dad and to us as family members.

My Mother in. Law spent her last 2 years of her life in Forshaws's household in Belong in Warrington. She went there after the lovely ladies of Belong at Home visited her in her own home. When she then transferred to Belong Warrington the staff in Forshaws carried on with the same standard of care
she had received at home. She liked going to see them in the Hairdressers regularly and the staff on Forshaws used to do her nails with the same pretty colour she used to do herself. They made sure she looked lovely everyday just as she used to at home. The Staff always made us very welcome from Barry the Manager to Gail on Reception through to the Julie in the Bistro and Mel, Alison, June etc on Forshaws. We were encouraged to treat it as Mother in laws home by being able to make her and ourselves a drink and have a snack whilst we were there. The bedrooms are lovely very light and airy with nice fitted furniture and ensuite facilities. The care they gave to my mother in law was excellent

I needed Respite for my husband, due to an eye operation & possibly permanence afterwards. Nowhere came near to the service offered by Belong.
My husband used to go 'walkabout' and could not be kept in. Social Services also tried to find Respite and some homes refused to have him. Belong tackled
this differently, and they take him out for walks when fine. They also moved him downstairs to enable him to walk in the enclosed garden.
Now he comes and waves me off when I leave , surprisingly, and he's never asked me to take him home.
He has a very good rapport with all staff in his household.
I like the fact that there are several separate households as it feels far more homely. I have not found this anywhere else. The Residents are given a limited choice of food, which is cooked within the household.
I cannot speak too highly of the staff, who also make visitors very welcome.
I have never once regretted him staying in Belong and do not feel that I have made the wrong choice.

From the first time I set foot in the building I was impressed by the friendliness and wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. I was even more impressed to learn about the philosophy and ethos of the Village in conversation with the Front of House Manager and the General Manager. I had total confidence in
leaving my wife here for respite care.
My wife quickly settled in, and was happy and relaxed when a friend visited and when I returned from my 'respite'. Jo, the in-house hairdresser, worked magic - "we've got Mum back" said our children.
As my wife's main carer, I really appreciated the support which all of the staff also offered to me. It counts a lot. Thank you.

My sister was fighting a brain tumour for the past 2 years. Unfortunately, she passed away last week. She was looked after by Belong Cunningham House Team in her last three weeks. They did an amazing job. We visited her every day and the team was exceptional day in day out. Thank for making it so
easy for us all in such difficult time. I would also like to say massive thank you to Clare who was very instrumental from welcoming my sister to Belong; to making all the process extremely smooth for all of us until the end.
All the best.

Belong is an excellent option when your relative can no longer live independently.
Staff are very welcoming, friendly and caring.
The houses are attractive and comfortable, staff are very attentive and bedrooms comfortable and spacious. Menus are excellent and if your relative enjoys certain foods
they do their best to provide. The bistro is a lovely addition where you can go for lunch or a coffee
