This is a very special place! It's a lovely building with very nice decor, and you are welcomed as soon as you set foot through the door. The food is very tasty, and drinks readily available. However, what really makes this place special are the staff. They are kind, caring, approachable, supportive and patient. They are professional too, with everything done the right way. My stepfather wanted to come here when he needed more support after the way my mum was cared for here. The staff are like family to him. There is no better tribute.
My mum came into your care on 1st April 2025 but sadly passed with you on 27th September 2025 while she was in your care. The staff were amazing with her the care she received was 2nd to none. My mum could be difficult at times but all the staff showed patients and care. On the last few days before her passing the care and dignity shown to her was the best I have seen in my 43 years of being in care and all the staff were lovely to myself and family. Highly recommend.
My wife was a resident here from Nov 23 to Feb 25. During which time I found the care and facilities to be exemplary in all fields. Now as a resident myself I find the care and services provided here to be of the highest standard imaginable in all areas.
We found everything about Osborne House to be accommodating, friendly and professional in all aspects of what they do. From management to carers and support staff we were very, very happy and could easily see that they actually "cared" and did not just care for the residents. I would certainly recommend this home, we were very thankful to have found it ourselves as it is not an easy exercise or decision to undertake and not one that you do lightly. A heartfelt thanks to Team Osborne House we really appreciated your help and support!
All the staff go above and beyond including coming in on their days off to visit or sit with residents. There is a real sense of extended family. It's a real pleasure to visit relatives who are resident - both mum (first) and now dad living there. We know that my parents are safe and being well looked after. Rooms are well appointed and modern. The Wi-Fi could be much improved and is probably the only significant improvement that could made; it makes it difficult to stay connected when we live so far away. Both my parents enjoy the catering with varied menus and treats which makes life and them feel special. There is even a pub just for residents on site too and activities linked to that.
Osbourne House is a lovely care home with a family feel. The staff really care about the residents and it shows with interactions. Very happy with our decision. The activity team are great and we as a family enjoyed seeing the photos. We loved joining in on visits. Highly recommend if you are looking for a care home for your relative.
My wife was transferred to Osborne House after three months in hospital. The moved was very unsettling for her but the staff have been very supportive and her care is outstanding.
All staff, carers and managers and office staff are very polite. When visiting, carers always come and see if everything is ok. Osbourne House Care Home is excellent.
On my mother's arrival at Osbourne House from the hospital following a broken hip, she was in a very poorly state with no mobility at all. The staff enabled her health to improve and her mobility to increase to where it was before her broken hip. She has been able to make her room a home from home, with favourite paintings and small pieces of furniture. Her food allergies are very well catered for, and any requests fulfilled. She is extremely well cared for by friendly efficient staff, from cleaners to management.
My partner of over 30 years moved to Osborne House last year. It is a fantastic, caring home where all the wonderful staff take pride in the work they do. I am extremely happy with all aspects of the home. I know he is being well looked after in every way. Well done everyone!
Osborne House provides excellent service and accommodation. The staff are so helpful and look after everyone with kindness and understanding for their resident's personal needs. I can't thank them enough for how they look after my Father and look forward to seeing everyone on my next visit to see my dad next.
I can't fault Osborne House and their amazing staff. I have my mum in residential care and my dad in dementia care. Both are looked after superbly. Always clean and well dressed. Always spoken to with dignity and respect. They also care about families too. The activities they provide are brilliant and keep residents engaged and supports them to build up friendships.
I cannot recommend Osborne House in Selby highly enough. Their staff have shown my dad (a new resident) an enormous amount of care, compassion and understanding during his time with them. They go over and above to ensure care is personalised and reach out to support families, keeping them fully informed at every stage. My trust in the service they are providing already far outstrips anything previously experienced with other care providers who have looked after my dad.
The staff are really great with Mum looking after her and looking out for her. I know Mum would love to be at home with me but she's at a point where the 24-hour care and medical assistance are essential now. Dementia is a cruel disease.
I am always made welcome at Osborne House. The staff are lovely and extremely caring. The home is welcome and clean and I am always allowed a meal with my mum. It's a home-from-home. There is a varied programme of activities and recently I attended a choir with my mum.
My mum is near the end and that's a difficult time for everyone. The staff are being so caring and thoughtful about my mum, and incredibly supportive of me. They have her best interest at heart, always include me and inform me, and are so kind when it feels too sad. My mum is warm, comfortable and safe, and I'm so glad she's in Osborne House. Thank you.
Generally a good level of care and professionalism. The staff are kind, caring and responsive to most needs. However, staff numbers can be stretched at times, particularly at weekends. A more focused and consistent approach to residents' dignity would be appreciated. Happy to discuss this.
My sister has been very well cared for since her admission to Osborne House. In view of my sister's mental state, she requires very close supervision and care. The staff at Osborne House are professional in their management of her situation and provide understanding care 24 hours a day. This gives us much comfort in view of us living in Chester which is a considerable distance away.
Osborne House is a lovely care home the staff are very polite and make me feel very welcome. The home is warm with a friendly atmosphere, I visit weekly to see my aunt who will be 100 at Christmas. Staff do a marvellous job and always keep me or my daughter up to date with any issues or concerns related to my aunt. Appreciate everything.
Very caring people who work very hard to ensure that my aunt has everything that she needs. My aunt has been a resident for several years and has had an excellent experience. I have been kept up to date with any relevant information. I am always made to feel welcome when I visit.
