View Full Details of Priors HouseMum has recently become a resident of Priors House and they couldn't have been more welcoming to her. She has settled in really well and is enjoying living there. From our first phone call to our first meeting with the customs relations manager she was so professional and reassuring that my mum would be coming to the right place to live.
Mum has just moved to Priors House this week. During our tours, Sarah did a fantastic job answering all of our questions and showing us all of the facilities to help inform and reassure us. Once we decided that this would be the perfect home for Mum, her assessment was booked in within 24 hours and Mum was transferred within three days of this decision. Mum was not stressed on arrival and was greeted with positivity and a friendly smile. They had even provided a welcome basket of goodies for her, which was a lovely touch. Our Mum is genuinely excited to enjoy the facilities and all that Priors House has to offer
We were made to feel welcome and were very happy to have our relatives with you. The concerns we had were rapidly expelled by the individuals concerned.
Just moved my mum-in-law into Priors House today. We had high hopes, having had previous experience with the team here, and we were not disappointed. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming to mum, and efficiently professional with all the checking-in procedures and paperwork. Looking forward to watching her settle in to her new home and enjoying the facilities, activities and most importantly the community of staff and residents.
Priors did a fabulous job supporting us to transition mum from a care home in the East of England to near us in the Midlands. They communicated clearly, advised and then warmly welcomed mum. We look forward to building our relationship with Priors
Dad has just moved into Priors House and the whole experience has been fantastic. The team there are so professional and caring and have made the transition so easy for him. From the initial show round all the way through to his assessment and moving in we have been very impressed. Now that he's been there for 3 weeks we are even more impressed, Dad is loving the activity programme, he joins in with quiz's, singing, table tennis etc. The activity programme is very varied. We are very impressed with the nurses on the nursing unit who seem very knowledgeable and caring and understand Dads needs. The Management are equally impressive, we received a call last week to see if we are happy with everything and this apparently is done on a monthly basis to the relatives, it's fantastic that the management are checking in so they can understand that if there was an issue that they are aware of it. The ambience in the home is lovely and all the staff already know Dad by name. Really impressed!
Excellent care is given at Priors House. The activities here are tailored to residents needs and delivered with fun and smiles and total inclusivity. All residents are treated as individuals and treated with respect. Their needs are assessed and met.
We recently visited Priors House Care Home as we begin making arrangements for our mother, and we were shown around by the customer relations manager. From start to finish, she was absolutely wonderful - warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly reassuring. We weren't rushed and felt she took the time to understand our family's situation and guided us through the home with genuine care and professionalism. All our questions were answered with clarity, giving us a full picture of what life is like at Priors House. It was clear the staff truly cares about the residents and is passionate about the quality of care provided. What really stood out was how everyone made us feel at ease during what is, for many families, a very emotional and difficult time. Her empathy, patience, and thoughtful approach made a real difference to us.
I have been helping a friend find and move into a suitable care home. The process of application and admission was handled with care and efficiency. My only complaint is the requirement to move in within a week of assessment - not enough time to get all personal items labelled. I do appreciate that they were reserving a very nice room for her. The moving in day was very stressful, as the admissions process is very thorough, but I understand that they need a detailed knowledge of her current state of health, and her needs. The best praise I can give is that my friend looked ten years younger when I saw her the next day. She is not always easy to please, but the caring, friendly and efficient staff, and the excellent facilities, have enabled her to settle in.
I've been very impressed with the service offered by Priors House, from the time taken at the initial tour and meeting, to my Dad been admitted. Communication has always been excellent and timely. I honestly think that my father is actually thriving in this environment, which is so wonderful to see at this time in his life. The staff are wonderful and work so hard for all the residents.
I stayed at The Priors for 2 weeks' respite care following a hip replacement at the hospital immediately opposite the building. I was collected by wheelchair - so convenient, and better than attempting to sit in car. I was treated with care and respect by an amazing team of carers. I felt no indignity in the personal care received. My room and bathroom were faultless. The setting of The Prior, delightful. I am so glad I chose to stay there.
A close relative has been under care at PRIORS. The food, activities and facilities are good. However ,the attitude and lack of care from staff especially night staff was poor and uncaring on many many occasion. The floor managers show little interest and are poor at managing their staff and constructive complaints. The higher managers the same. Their claim of 6 minutes call time are simply not true. I could go on but needless to say, not enough space. Poor staff, poor management, expensive as well.
Priors house was chosen by my mum for 2 weeks respite care following a hip replacement in the middle of June 2025. She made this selection based on visiting a family friend with dementia whom is a resident there, saying how it was the nicest care home she had ever been to (and we had spent some time looking for a home for my dad, before he passed away, so. We had looked at a few). The staff are all so friendly and professional (a perfect combination), they couldn't do enough for mum while she was there, gave her time to settle in, never pushed her to do activities she didn't want to, but were always available to help when needed. The room was extremely nice, and always cleaned but we never knew when! Must be when mum went to eat, but small touches like that were very impressive. The place is very nice, but it is the staff that make this the place mum chose, and she knows she made the right choice.
When our Dad's vascular dementia suddenly accelerated we needed to find dementia care urgently. We found Priors House by using an internet search engine to search for 'dementia care in the local area' and were firstly drawn in because of the proximity to where our Mum lives (10 minutes drive away). My brother made contact with one staff member in particular who was able to accommodate a visit the next day; she spent a lot of time showing my brother and sister-in-law around and they were incredibly impressed with what they saw. I then took my Dad for an assessment a few days later, and emotionally painful as this was, we were both made to feel very welcome and again, the staff member made plenty time for us and was so caring and understanding. Two days later, my brother and Mum took my Dad for an initial two week stay. Again, they were made to feel really welcome and my Mum was so reassured by the number of staff and their consistent kindness and compassion. It's a lovely place with excellent standards of care and professionalism
Il start with a very big thank you to all the staff . My mum could be and was very difficult with some of you . For this I apologise . You all showed compassion and respect for mum .I ate with mum a few times and enjoyed my meals ( often a sore point in care homes ) I especially liked the lady with the tie and her tea trolley . Fantastic touch . I thought your activities for the guests was good and entertaining . Not only in getting people out of their rooms but to let them meet new friends and be social . From the ladies letting me in ,to the staff who had to deal with mum, everyone was polite , happy and pleasant . getting a bit teary now so im going to say another thank you all.
Staff were wonderful with our mum in her last 6 weeks. She could be difficult but they dealt with her compassionately, indeed lovingly. Mum died peacefully and we are very thankful for that and for the nursing care provided. In the earlier weeks, when she could participate in activities, we saw photos of mum looking truly happy. Again, we were very grateful for this.
From the first contact with the admin staff to nurses/carers, the standard of care, friendliness and efficiency has been impressive. My mother has and is being very well looked after and I now know that I made the right decision choosing Priors House.
Mum has been a resident at Priors House for 2 1/2 years, during this time the staff have been wonderful. The staff are very welcoming, from the time you step through the door. Mum has Alzheimer's, the team on Telford Suite fully understand her needs and personality. I have full admiration for all that they do. There is always someone around to voice any concerns you may have. The activity timetable changes weekly, the activity team work hard at keeping those who wish to partake entertained. I am very grateful and appreciate everything they do. Thank you to all the staff at Priors House.
From initial telephone conversation regarding my mums respite following hip surgery and the initial journey from being shown around the home we knew we had found the right place for mum. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating to mums every need. Mum only went in yesterday but within the hour, they had brought her coffee, cakes, showered and helped dress her, it was amazing, both mum and I felt very comfortable in everybody's presence. The carers always have smiles on their faces. Three members of staff in particular were amazing in securing a ground floor room for mum with a small patio. It is early days but I know that mum will be made to feel at home for her two weeks respite, the only concern we have is she may not want to come out!. Thank you everybody for making mum so welcome.
When we first got in touch by phone with Priors House, they immediately made us feel welcome. The CR Manager showed us around the same afternoon. We were very impressed with everything we saw and all the facilities. My sister was admitted within a few days. The CR Manager was exceptional in making everything happen smoothly, including a transfer from a London hospital. The staff I have had contact with so far have been excellent and very helpful.
