View Full Details of Osborne HouseI feel very welcome every time I visit, the staff are very caring and do a very difficult job. My only concern is my Husband could be encouraged to walk a little more if he had a frame at his disposal, when I visit I have to ask for one.
Upon arriving at Osborne House - October 2024, my Dad has been made to feel, safe, secure and very welcome. During his time living in Osborne House, Dad has had a few health issues and Osborne House has always been proactive and very supportive. In particular, Dad has recently had a spell in hospital and initially the hospital medical team, did not know if he would pull through. Fortunately, he did. Osborne House went above and beyond, having training in the hospital, which enabled Dad's return, as otherwise without that, he would have had to move to another care home, They have provided a new bed, suitable for his current needs and safety equipment, as he is frailer since this episode. The decision to move Dad into care, was a very difficult one. But Osborne House has eased us, as a family to realise it was the right thing for him. Seeing Dad settled, has been such a relief.
For the past nine years, this dementia care home has been a true sanctuary for my mother, and I cannot speak highly enough of the incredible care she has received. From the moment she arrived, the staff have consistently gone above and beyond to ensure she is safe, comfortable, and treated with the utmost dignity. The team is not only highly skilled but genuinely compassionate. They know my mother as an individual - her preferences, her routines, and even the little things that make her smile. The personalised care she receives, allows her to maintain a sense of identity despite the challenges of dementia. The food is excellent - nutritious, varied, and thoughtfully prepared. There's a vibrant programme of activities that keep residents engaged and stimulated, and the atmosphere is warm, respectful, and full of life. Thank you to everyone at the home for your unwavering dedication and care. You've made a difficult journey so much easier for our family, and we a deeply grateful.
All staff at this Care home deliver an excellent service for residents. They are caring and keep us informed of any concerns . They keep residents occupied throughout day with various activities and also other entertainment The position of this care home is also a bonus having excellent views of the sea and Welsh hills which can be viewed from the front of the building. The receptionists make visitors very welcome. They remember the names of visitors which makes you feel most welcome. We are pleased to have found such a good care home for our friend.
I needed to find respite for my husband as I was having eye op, I looked at several homes, but Osborne House has a good feel. I was not disappointed, my everyday feedback online was so reassuring and with the addition of photos, I could see he was happy, as I have known him for a while. I can tell that full time care will be needed soon, and I feel confident that Osborne House will be a perfect setting.
Osborne House are an excellent team of caring, experienced and kind people. It is reassuring to know that my Dad is being well looked after by them with dignity and care. Their communication with us is good and their interaction and activities with residents is excellent.
My mother has been a resident of Osborne House for the last 10 years. The home consistently offers a service which is excellent in terms of the care offered to residents, opportunities to engage in personalised activities inside and offsite, and its support for relatives. Recently, the service has expanded to offer home care, an on-site cafe which is the hub for a number of support groups, while offering an excellent care service.
It is so difficult having to place one's loved one in residential care, but this home is truly welcoming and becomes part of the family. The carers are kind, compassionate and patient, even with the most challenging behaviours. They are reassuring when residents are frightened or upset, and provide plenty of activities and distractions to keep them engaged. The food is fresh and home cooked, and there is always a lovely cake on a resident's birthday. This home is beautifully decorated and maintained, and the new addition of a cafe downstairs, and the sun terrace above makes the most of the views over to south Wales. My father always loved Clevedon, and I am happy that he is living there in his last years. I highly recommend Osborne House for its excellent care of extremely vulnerable older people.
I just had a care plan review with a member of staff at Osborne House. It is so incredible the care and understanding the member of staff and her team have for my Dad's needs. Because of the type of dementia my Dad's moods can dramatically swing and make it very challenging to meet his daily needs, however the compassion and care they show him is extraordinary. Always going the extra mile to make sure he is safe and taken care of physically and mentally. Seeing how well he is doing, and how happy he is right now is so much more than I could ever have imagined and wished for. Being able to see Dad taking part in activities and interacting with the staff is incredible, they have the hardest job in the world and always are so kind and lovely towards everyone no matter how hard. I can't thank you all enough for being such wonderful, caring people and looking after my Dad in the most difficult of circumstances, as well answering any questions I have and keeping me informed if anything changes. Thank you.
Words can't fully express the gratitude my family and I feel toward the wonderful team at Osborne Care home, in particular the Manager and Assistant Manager who were wonderful. From the moment my elderly dad, who was living with dementia, moved in, we felt an overwhelming sense of relief and reassurance. The care, dignity, and compassion shown to him went far beyond our expectations. The staff were not only highly professional and skilled in dementia care, but also incredibly warm and attentive. They took the time to understand my dad as a person-his routines, his history, and the little things that made him smile. It meant the world to us to see him treated not just as a resident, but as a valued individual. Knowing that he spent his final months surrounded by such kindness and respect brings us comfort during a difficult time. We will always be grateful to Osborne House for the love and support they gave-not just to Dad, but to all of us. Thank you.
All the staff and Osborne House were fantastic with my dad. The manager and the team I can't thank you enough for how you looked after him. You went way beyond what anyone could have reasonably expected . Dementia is an awful disease that took our dad from us which sadly thousands of people have to go through . As a family putting a loved one in a home " has a stigma to it and we all felt guilty we couldn't properly look after our dad but it was 100% the right decision from a safety and care position . The team at Osborne House made my dads last months weeks and days way less painful by there kindness and thoughtfulness . Going the extra mile and genuinely caring for him. My dad thought the world of the staff at Osborne House which says everything. It helped us through an incredibly sad time with the positive and personal approach everyone had until my dad sadly passed away recently . Brilliant team Amazing people doing an amazing job.
Visited my grandmother in January, I live abroad so I can't see her as much as I'd like, but I was very happy and relieved that she is in such a wonderful environment, with super nice staff and being cared for ..
I cannot praise too highly the care offered by Osborne House. In my opinion - as detailed below - it rates 5,stars in all areas. It is extremely well managed and the fact that in the many months my husband was in care there was continuity of staff all of whom were very positively involved with the wellbeing/care of the residents. Smiling faces abound and each resident is known and addressed by name. There is a genuine atmosphere of love of their residents at Osborne House.
I can not recommend Osborne house enough. My stepdad watched rugby, sang, did the activities he enjoyed and was given the food he liked and great care. I found those caring for him super committed to doing their best and staff communication was really good. As relatives we were also cared for really well. We were so fortunate to find somewhere like this.
I highly recommend Osborne House to anyone seeking a care home for a beloved relative. Osborne House is exceptional and different for many reasons. From the moment you walk through the door, you feel at ease. It is beautifully decorated, homely and clean. It is a safe and kind environment. A weekly schedule of entertainment and activities is in place to keep the home filled with music, laughter, fun and happiness. Every single member of staff is dedicated to their role; caring, kind and providing all the support needed. My mum has been with Osborne House for the past three years and I know she is in the safest of hands. With sincere thanks to all those who care for her.
Osborne House is a very pleasant care home. The staff are very welcoming. My brother is happy there. There are many activities to keep the residents occupied. I'm kept updated with everything and can join in with many of the things happening. I have nothing but praise for Osborne House.
The stimulation given to residents is outstanding, the activities that they can do and places that they can visit really aid with memory. It is like a home from home feel with caring and kind staff.
Dad was only in Osborne House for a short time, unfortunately. During the time he was there, all members of staff were friendly, professional, polite, caring and dedicated. I was so happy Dad was in such safe and caring hands during his last few weeks of life; they really went over and above the mark to make us and Dad feel welcome. We are so grateful to have found you. I would thoroughly recommend Osborne House to anyone.
We wanted to say how much we appreciate the care which everyone gave to our Aunt during the time she was at Osborne House. Every member of the team was so friendly and welcoming and showed such care and compassion. From our first visit we could see how your residents and their comfort were so important to you. It is a shame that our Aunt was not in better health as we are sure that she would have been very happy there. Our Aunt was not with you for very long but staff had already built a bond with her and us. We would like to especially mention one of the nurses who made sure that we were kept informed of her situation and showed a genuine closeness. It was evident that each resident has a place in your hearts. Thank you for making her last days safe and comfortable and her passing dignified and peaceful.
Our mother jointed the residents of Osborne House approximately 18 months ago, during the difficult time of Covid 19. Both my brother and myself have nothing but praise for the Osborne House. First and foremost, mum is happy and due to the constant care and stimulation she is given her concentration and memory have improved despite dementia. The staff at Osborne House are professional, courteous, caring and cheerful. They receive family members warmly and have good communication skills, as a Registered Nurse myself I have great respect for them all. There are also regular newsletters which have been much appreciated during lockdown, including photos of the residents taking part in various activities. The home is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The main residents' lounge overlooks the River Severn. The meals are always well presented with attention to any dietary needs.
