View Full Details of Green Tree CourtI have been having respite here for 7 years. I stay for a week at a time. I am disabled with MS. Physically only my left hand and arm work. At Green Tree Court I feel safe and cared for. Over the years I have built up friendships with staff across all elements. The only problem is a lack of carers at some times. Some agency staff are not familiar with my needs and some are difficult to communicate wtih. At times there are too few staff to cope with the number of residents. However I love my stays here. Food is exceptional.
Excellent, very good professional care, food & food choice superb and really perfect way to spend post operative hip replacement re-couperation. Could not recommend highly enough.
I arrived at Green Tree Court two days later than I expected I had to stay in the hospital at Taunton longer than I thought. I arrived with my daughter in law mid afternoon on the 25th Feb. As soon as we arrived they made us most welcome asked if we had a meal at Taunton we said no and straight away got a meal for us. The care I received was excellent, several members of my family came to see me and stayed for meals the food and experience was excellent would recommend to anyone.
I cannot fault my experience, as you will see from my ratings.
I can't thank you enough for the care you gave to my mum during the last couple of years of her life. Mum was a very independent lady. sometimes cantankerous, but her whole personality changed when she developed dementia. it is such a struggle for her and all her family, but staying at Green Tree Court helped to pacify her, and our family knew she was in safe hands.
As I live over 4 hours away from Exeter the reassurance that mum is somewhere safe ,with staff looking out for her throughout the day and night is wonderful. The care and support she receives is excellent .with everyone encouraging her to eat even though she is not bothered. With the wide range of activities on offer every week there is always something she can participate in. She really enjoys going to the nursery school to help the children and also the occasional visit out to the garden centre . The Green Trees environment is so unlike what you imagine a care home to be from the casual seating areas, the garden and the balconies making it a place you are happy to spend time visiting .
Every time I walk in and out of Green Tree Court I feel a sense of calm and at peace that I'm leaving my Dad in a safe environment. The invaluable specialist Alzheimer's support received from the senior nursing staff here has helped immensely with navigating Dad's Alzheimer's journey. The staff certainly are the jewel in the Green Tree Court crown. The weekly activities timetable is impressive and I've often joined in with a game of armchair boules or 'show & tell' sessions where Dad has enjoyed recounting all his old motorbike trials stories through old photos with other residents. The food is very good too - homemade & tasty. I love the gardens, often enjoying a walk with Dad followed by coffee sat in the sunshine. Green Trees Court has made it possible to still spend quality time with Dad and dealing with a challenging situation in the best way possible.
I am very pleased with the way my Uncle has settled in, the care and attention he receives is excellent. The care home itself is a bright and welcoming, and the staff are so helpful. Rooms could be brightened up a bit, but is that up to the resident. The activities seem very good and it would be good is residents could be given more confidence to join in
Usual excellent care and super helpful/ friendly staff. When I have a concern ( fairly unusual ), staff do their best to address the problem quickly and efficiently. The kindness and positivity from all the permanent staff makes me feel so supported and reassured. I virtually never leave without a smile on my face. Thank you
The best way to assess how good something is? Test how they react to something not going quite right. We have generally been very impressed by Green Tree Court in the last year, and the extremely professional way the manager dealt with a recent issue underscores that we were right to have confidence in the GTC approach.
The care and support that Green Tree Court provides is excellent. The dignity for residents is maintained at all times which sadly, having seen how many homes operate, is not always the case. There is a stimulating and varied programme of activities and events with spacious comfortable accommodation and communal areas. The staff are wonderful caring, friendly and most helpful.
I can't praise the care and compassion shown to my husband the standard of care hygiene and general all round standards . The food variety and quality is excellent t. Each day some different entertainment animals birds singing etc is so inspiring as this keeps residents from being bored.
I came here for respite care after 25 days in hospital, including 11 in ICU after returning from India with legionnaires pneumonia. I stayed 17 days & I cannot fault this magnificent care home as you can see in my ratings. I came here on the recommendation of a friend whose mother was a resident for a while. My score - 100%! 10/10.
Green Tree Court have now cared for both my mum and dad, and I know they could not have done more to make both my parents comfortable and cared for in their final days. They have wonderful team of nurses, carers, hosts and support who work together to ensure all individual needs are met. Visitors are always welcome, and it is a home away from home for those who need it. Thank you, Green Tree.
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for the exceptional care and support provided to my parents during their time at Green Tree Court. As their only child living abroad, it has been a great comfort to know they were in such compassionate and capable hands. The kindness and dedication demonstrated by all the staff has been truly remarkable. The respect, dignity, and love with which my father was treated until his passing have left an indelible mark on my family. Your team's commitment to his comfort and well-being was a source of great solace during a difficult time. The genuine sense of community within Green Tree Court has profoundly impacted my mother, who continues to thrive under your care. The thoughtful activities and social interactions organized by your team have significantly enhanced her quality of life, providing her with joy and companionship.
On first walking through the door, we as a family knew it was the right place for our dear mum. All of the staff are so natural, friendly, helpful and above all else professional, but in an easy caring way. Humour plays a large part in the day-to-day environment, which is wonderful. Mum has settled in really well and enjoys the social activities provided, especially the various singers that come every week to entertain and encourage the residents to join in. Who would have thought Mum at 94 would join in the Green Tree Court Choir! As a family we could not have hoped for a better environment for Mum to enjoy her later years. Mum loves her room, which is homely, with all her photos etc but it is also practical for her needs at this stage in life. Thank you everyone at Green Tree Court.
Mum moved to Green Tree Court in November 2023, having spent 11 months in another care home, where she was very unhappy. The change in Mum since moving is wonderful to see, she is much happier and more settled. The staff are amazing, and it really feels like a family. It has also meant that I am much more relaxed as I know Mum is being so well cared for.
I have a 93-year-old mum who is lucky to be living under the care of the Green Tree Court family for the last two years. She arrived at Green Tree Court underweight with various acute medical conditions. We were preparing for the inevitable! The Green Tree Court family/team has made a positive impact on her life. She has been treated with respect, love, and care by every member of staff. I believe this is as a result of the the model that is in place by the Care Manager and their ability to recruit train and retain quality staff members across the organisation. The staff are friendly, approachable, and empathetic and communicate well across the teams to ensure that Mum gets the best quality of care and love both physically, mentally, and emotionally. This model of care through continuous improvements at Green Tree Court, should be replicated across the Care sector and afforded to everyone in their time of need.
My mum is here for end-of-life care and both my mum and me (her daughter) and her partner have been treated with nothing but dignity and respect. Nothing is too much for them and the carers and nurses are always putting my mum's interests first. Even though Mum is sleeping now they talk to her every time they check on her and they tell her everything they are doing. The hospitality and catering staff are out of this world. They don't just do the food and drink they chat to family and residents and they make sure you're ok. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone here and I can't single out anyone's job roles as being any better than another. I have felt listened to when needed and comforted during the turbulent hours. I had huge concerns about a home as nothing was ever going to be good enough for my mum, but I eat my words; it's lovely here. Thank you, Green Tree, for making these final moments bearable.
My mother was admitted to Green Tree Court for palliative care and I must unreservedly thank the staff and management for their care and professionalism in making her last few weeks as comfortable and dignified as possible. Also, the level of kindness and hospitality towards her family and loved ones was truly humbling and we are eternally grateful for the support we received in that most difficult of times.
