It's a pleasure walking into Avalon Court, the large lounge/ reception area is always clean and fresh smelling, full of comfy seats and tables, with lovely flower arrangements dotted about. The reception staff are great, very friendly and welcoming to everyone. I am
so impressed by the quality of
care and dedication by the staff, in all departments. There are activities every day, designed to stimulate and entertain, also regular weekly outings all made possible by the wonderful full time team who give 100% to the lovely residents.

Mum seems to have settled in very well. She's very happy to have no responsibilities for looking after her home. She's walking better and seem happier in herself. Her only 'complaint' is having tea at 4:30!! Too soon after lunch.

My mother has been a resident at Avalon Court (dementia floor) for 3 1/2 years now and throughout this period the care and support has generally been very good on her floor. The time management and desk staff are totally professional and a credit to Avalon as are the entertainment team and the
hairdressing. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone.

Most things were excellent, but food was disappointing. Not enough vegetables and some days, portions very small. One small floret of broccoli, I do not consider to be a portion.
Drinks were fine.

My mother moved to Avalon Court in May 2025. There were so many failings that it's impossible to list here. My mother suffered severe trauma and illness and was hospitalised due to their failings. An alternative home was found & she moved there directly from hospital in June 2025 & has thrived
since.
Months of correspondence ensued & Avalon consistently refused to accept responsibility & tried to lay some blame at our door. The complaint was escalated to the Ombudsman. In March 2026 the LGSCO investigation was completed & Avery Healthcare were found to have caused significant injustice by not administering prescribed drugs, poor levels of cleanliness & hygiene, & inadequate general standards of care to a visually impaired person. This has resulted in receiving an official apology & refund of monies. In my opinion their attitude towards my mother's care was sloppy & cavalier, as was their handling of the complaint. The decision statement of the LGSCO will be made public soon.

Mum could not be looked after any better at Avalon Court. She is always telling me how lucky she is to be there. Over the years she has been a resident, and she has had a few falls resulting in broken bones. Each time this happens, the staff implement and strengthen the care and safeguarding mum
receives. The caring staff not only look out for the residents but also become family to all involved. The entertainment team work so hard to provide joyous activities that are enjoyed by all. A big thank you.

I visit a friend in the home. She has improved so much and enjoys the stay there now.
The activities are great. The staff are kind and welcoming. Would recommend the home.

My first visit to Avalon Court and I am very impressed by the friendliness and "nothing too much trouble" attitude of staff. The improvement in my friends health and wellbeing is really noticeable. The varied and extensive programme of activities will, no doubt, aid her continuous improvement.

A pleasant stay Avalon Court, particularly because of the helpfullness of the staff. My room was very comfortable and clean. The food was delicious and the group activities on the whole were stimulating.

My mother resides at Avalon Court and I have been so incredibly impressed by the level of care and support she receives. Rather than do the easiest thing, Avalon works hard to do what is in the best interests of residents. This is evident in their incredible program of activities that include
unusual and stimulating activities like drama productions and zoo animal encounters, and the way that the staff continue to encourage and support (those residents that can) to walk and engage in feedback meetings.
I have visited a number of homes and Avalon Court is by far the best one I have come across. I very much appreciate all the hard work that Avalon Court puts into ensuring that my mum is well looked after. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a caring, supportive environment for their loved ones.

I hold power of Attorney for two of the residents at Avalon Court in Coventry.
Whilst they are happy with their care, they are most unhappy with the food they are served daily. Let me give you an example, yesterday they were offered a scone for their tea, but it arrived with not butter or jam, when
they asked for both a small pot of jam it arrived 25 mins later, but they never did receive any butter.
This may seem trivial but similar instances happen regularly. I find it incomprehensible that a care home with such a good reputation is let down by such inadequate catering service.
I am happy to discuss these issues with you if you care to contact me.

The resident I visit has now been in Avalon Court for more than nine years. The fact that she has reached the age of 94 is at least in part, due to the very good care she has received here. I have written several reviews over the years and they all express the same level of satisfaction.
28 May 2025
Have been visiting for over 2 years and in that time all of the staff that I've spoken with have been polite & helpful. The daily entertainment for residents always amazes me on how varied it is to meet the needs of different people. The person we come to see is very happy & content!

Helpful, friendly, caring & professional staff. Lovely homely atmosphere. Very hard to find fault.

Avalon is always very welcoming, the staff greet you with a smile and take the time to have a conversation either about you or your loved one. The entrance is clean, tidy with fresh flowers or displays of the residents art work etc. This month has had a variety of activities for all the residents to
take part in if they so wish. Tea, coffee and delicious home made cakes are always available for you, to enjoy whilst having a chat with the resident either in the lounge or in the suite, where staff are always approachable to discuss any problems, either medical issues or food which they had that day.
28 May 2025
My mother has been at Avalon Court for 2.5 years now and I can honestly say the care she has received, particularly as she has dementia, has been exceptional. Nothing is to much for the staff and are quick to rectify any unforeseen problems when identified. The staff behind reception supervised by
management are outstandingly professional as are the entertainment team and the hairdresser. Their interactions with residents and their families is admirable and a credit to Avalon Court.

It's nice to visit and see that my dad is safe and well cared for. He enjoys the tasty food and is comfortable, clean and dressed nicely. Dad's needs are changing all the time and the staff take care to accept his care to accommodate this. Although Dad struggles to access the excellent activities,
these are emailed to me weekly so that I can target my visits accordingly. This is much appreciated.
