The care that they provide is excellent they find time even when they are busy to make sure the residents are well looked after and keep us informed of any issues.

Where do I start. I had to make the heartbreaking decision to place my beautiful mum in a residential care home. I visited many, and left in tears at the sorry sight of residents, the smell, the lack of facilities etc. I visited Avalon Court, and I myself was met with such great care. They understood my heartbreak, helped me to understand I was on the right path and shouldn't be carrying guilt. Mum has had such wonderful care, such a varied calendar of activities from day trips to drama classes, classical music concerts to art classes, she is understood, she is cared for, she is part of the family at Avalon, and for both mum and I, that has been priceless. Cost, yes it does cost if you are paying privately, but I doubt there is a better care home out there. I have experienced hiccups, but staff are so very quick to address any concerns. I hoped mum would be well cared for, I didn't expect to receive the support I have too, in terms of understanding what mum is going through.

I would definitely recommend Avalon court to anyone looking for a care home.

The staff are amazing (special shout out to Chintha and Ranjit!) and have a lovely relationship with my mum. The activities are varied and mum really enjoys the different activities each week. Would highly recommend.

I am now almost 85 years old and if the need arises I will definitely choose to come into this care home.

John has been resident at Avalon for 3+ years and in my view has had excellent care. The activities are plentiful + varied and staff are very helpful.

The staff care as much as they can for my nan like family. Rachael especially is so supportive, myself and my dad feel we have a second family. I would highly recommend this home to anyone! A massive thank you!

I am happy to have my dad at Avalon Court. The care staff are always friendly and attentive and the activities team are always friendly and attentive and the activities team provide a wide range of options for everyone. I often have to travel for work so it provides peace of mind to know my dad is well looked after.

The food is amazing, rooms are beautifully decorated and maintained, the same of social areas. The range of activities to stimulate and support residents is better than I have seen anywhere else, and residents families and friends are warmly welcomed too. It's a fantastic place.

Mum has lived at Avalon for almost 4 1/2 years. Mum and I both value highly everything provided at the home, everything they do is central to mum's care. All members of staff are like family to residents and visitors, right from cleaning team though to the manager, have always got time for the residents and go out of their way to go the extra mile. Mum has been a resident at Avalon Court for over a year now. She is very happy, settled. She likes the activities especially the drama group. Mum is about to celebrate her 91st birthday all thanks to the care and support at Avalon.

so impressed by the quality of care and dedication by the staff, in all departments. There are activities every day, designed to stimulate and entertain, also regular weekly outings all made possible by the wonderful full time team who give 100% to the lovely residents.

Mum seems to have settled in very well. She's very happy to have no responsibilities for looking after her home. She's walking better and seem happier in herself. Her only 'complaint' is having tea at 4:30!! Too soon after lunch.

My mother has been a resident at Avalon Court (dementia floor) for 3 1/2 years now and throughout this period the care and support has generally been very good on her floor. The time management and desk staff are totally professional and a credit to Avalon as are the entertainment team and the hairdressing. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone.

Drinks were fine.

Months of correspondence ensued & Avalon consistently refused to accept responsibility & tried to lay some blame at our door. The complaint was escalated to the Ombudsman. In March 2026 the LGSCO investigation was completed & Avery Healthcare were found to have caused significant injustice by not administering prescribed drugs, poor levels of cleanliness & hygiene, & inadequate general standards of care to a visually impaired person. This has resulted in receiving an official apology & refund of monies. In my opinion their attitude towards my mother's care was sloppy & cavalier, as was their handling of the complaint. The decision statement of the LGSCO will be made public soon.

Excellent in all respects
