Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My aunt was in Eastbourne Gardens Care Home for over 10 years. She was not always easy to care for, but the staff always treated her with kindness, respect and dignity. She was beautifully cared for, helped to wash, and dressed with care. She was known my name and personally. As a family, we are deeply
grateful and indebted to the staff for all their loving care.

Wandsworth Common Care Home - Avery Collection

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My aunt was becoming unable to look after herself at her house so my wife searched for a suitable care home. She found the Wandsworth Common Care Home (WCCH) and after a visit we were sure that this would be ideal for my aunt. It was unlike any other care home we had ever been in - more like an upmarket
hotel.
My aunt was not sure she was ready for a care home but after a further fall, and the offer of a month's trial she said yes. I have photographs of her on the day she arrived - still anxious from her previous life - and then 10 days later, totally relaxed and happy. She spent 9 glorious months in her beautiful apartment, but unfortunately, she had a severe stroke, and after spending time in hospital she was able to return to WCCH but she sadly passed away one week later.
What makes WCCH different is the beautiful environment but especially the staff who go above and beyond on so many occasions. They became a family to Joyce we always knew she was happy and well looked after.
Reply from William Burke, CLM at Wandsworth Common Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you so much for your kind words. It was an honour to care for your aunt. I will pass the wonderful feedback on to the team here who work tirelessly to provide exceptional care to all of our residents

We are so pleased with the care our mum and nanny receives as it meens we don't need to worry about her because we know she will be taken good care of in terms of her medication, her hygiene and eating. It is not just these things are monitored, it is also so wonderful to know she has company and takes
part in activities.

Butler's Mews is an amazing place full of fun and love. They care for my mum so brilliantly. Everyone knows her by name, even the cleaning staff and reception staff, and they stop to greet her and give her some attention whenever they see her. The entertainment is varied and engaging and my mum seems
genuinely happy to live there, despite having dementia and having to be away from her family. This is so reassuring for her family and we feel welcomed and valued whenever we visit too. I couldn't be happier with the service provided.

I was very impressed from the first time I walked in. Staff extremely friendly and helpfull. Carers were the same most of the time without the need for agency staff which enabled great rapports with the residents. The food was good quality with plenty of choice. Mum only attended a few activities but
enjoyed the ones she did, especially she enjoyed the musical entertainment and singing along. My mum could be very dificult at times so thank you for your patience and care. I would highly recommend Birchmere House.

My Mum needed to be transferred to a care home due to slowly deteriorating dementia. Having known the care home for a while (I am local and have been involved with the care home as the local parish Vicar) I knew she would be well looked after there... and she really was. They were adaptable, loving
and thoughtful. Whenever anything was asked they were more than willing to help and support in whatever way they could. In the end my Mum was only there for 7 weeks as she died from a blood clot in the lungs. I was deeply moved when I saw the staff were themselves very upset and cried as they had got that close to her in that short time. The staff genuinely care and do their best to give what they can for all who live there. Thank you!

My mum came to Silvermere for respite care and from the first enquiry we made until the day she went back home, the service from everyone at Silvermere has been fantastic. We couldn't have picked a better place to look after mum. The staff, to a person, are amazing. They made mum feel welcome and helped
get her through what was a stressful time. The home is clean and tidy, the food looks and smells great (and mum said it tasted good too) and there was a wide variety of entertainment on offer.

Should we ever require care again, be it respite or something more permanent, I wouldn't hesitate to choose Silvermere.

Reply from Will Hammond, Customer Liaison Manager at Silvermere Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you so much for sharing this thoughtful review. I'm delighted to hear that from your first enquiry through to Mum's return home, you felt fully supported - and I'll be sure to pass your kind words to our care, hospitality, and activities teams who helped make her stay welcoming during a stressful time.

It's wonderful that Mum enjoyed the food and found plenty of entertainment to keep her engaged, and that the home felt clean and tidy throughout. Knowing you "wouldn't hesitate" to choose Silvermere again means a great deal to us.

My mum has been at Dukes Court for almost three years and she is very happy there. Many of the care staff have worked there for many years and mum has become very close to them. They are caring and compassionate and often go the extra mile to ensure the residents are happy and well cared for.
The
home is always clean and well presented and a credit to the cleaning staff who are also amazing.
There's always lots of activities going on which ensures residents are kept entertained and socialised. My mum's favourites are bingo, arts and crafts and film afternoon where they are treated to hot chocolate whilst watching their film of choice. They often have professional singers in to entertain everyone which is always very popular with both residents and staff.
I feel my mum is happy and safe at Dukes Court and as a daughter that is all I could wish for so THANK YOU.

My dad has been at dukes now for two and a half years after a terrible experience at another home. He settled straight away here and it's an amazing home with great support. Dads dementia has got worse but all the staff will work with dad and ensure he has amazing care and support where needed. The
activities are amazing and something on every day for them with trips out as well. Dad is so settled and the staff are like a family and they support me as well. Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Rosebery Manor looks after a wide span of residents and every one of them is well cared for and treated as an individual. The majority of care staff are on first name terms with all the residents and the building is attractive, well decorated and kept spotlessly clean.

Hot and cold drinks and nibbles

are always available in the reception area for residents and visitors.

When things do go wrong the staff are good at getting them fixed.

There are a range of activities available throughout the week for those that are interested/able and the team make every effort to encourage attendance.

Costs are very high, but they seem to be similar everywhere we looked.

If you are looking for a care home or "assisted living" Rosebery Manor should be on your list to check out.

The care my mum received at Bourn View was as professional, compassionate and warm as we could possibly have hoped. It's a luxury-styled place, but that would be nothing without the staff. They are gentle, patient, kind and attentive. Nothing and no one is trouble. My mum was so safe, happy and healthy,
we stopped worrying. I can't say better than that - we stopped worrying. Bourn View is a wonderful place that you can trust, without question.
