My nan came into this home 3 1/2 years ago, it was the best choice we ever made. It was upsetting for us all as she always lived in her own home, but the staff at Avalon Court was so helpful and caring.
The staff care as much as they can for my nan like family. Rachael especially is so supportive,
myself and my dad feel we have a second family. I would highly recommend this home to anyone! A massive thank you!
Reply from Elaine Edwards, Customer Service Manager at Avalon Court Care Home - Avery HealthcareYour review is so nice and thank you for that. I'm so glad your nan and yourselves are feeling happy with Avalon Court and that you all feel supported. We are very luck to have a very supportive management team and wonderful staff.

I am always amazed by how personalised the care is at Avalon Court. Every staff member seems to know every resident individually, and they are so friendly!
The food is amazing, rooms are beautifully decorated and maintained, the same of social areas. The range of activities to stimulate and support
residents is better than I have seen anywhere else, and residents families and friends are warmly welcomed too. It's a fantastic place.

Mum has lived at Avalon for almost 4 1/2 years. Mum and I both value highly everything provided at the home, everything they do is central to mum's care. All members of staff are like family to residents and visitors, right from cleaning team though to the manager, have always got time for the residents
and go out of their way to go the extra mile. We know that mum is in the best care home in Coventry, thank you for all for all you do. Special thanks go to Rachel, Natasha, Ed, Lyndsay and Shearer

Avonmere Care Home - Avery Healthcare

from Carol S (Daughter of Resident) published on 12 May 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Dad moved into Avonmere in February 2025. His need for a care home occurred very suddenly which was a shock not only for him but for myself and my mother. From the initial scouting visit to the present day we have only been met and treated with kindness, enthusiasm, care and attention at every visit.
We
couldn't have wished for a nicer care home for dad, he has plenty of activities to attend, he has a beautiful room with ensuite and a lovely view of the garden from his window. All of his needs are met with kindness and dignity and nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff whether it be maintenance/housekeeping/kitchen activities staff, the carers, reception staff or Management. Mum and I always look forward to our visits and enjoy taking part in the activities and talking with the various staff. I highly recommend Avonmere for your loved ones.
Reply from Samantha Baronian, Home Manager at Avonmere Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you so much for your lovely review. It means a great deal to the whole team to hear that your dad has settled in so well and that you and your mum feel welcomed and supported too. Were so pleased Avonmere feels like the right home for him, and we truly appreciate your kind words and recommendation.

Avonmere Care Home - Avery Healthcare

from J R (Grandson of Resident) published on 12 May 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Grandma came to Avonmere after leaving her home of 30 years after a decline in physical and mental health. The journey to this point was not an easy one but she fit right in at Avonmere. The quality of the home is amazing, as are the staff and facilities. Honestly, my grandma is not always the easiest
person to deal with, especially with dementia. However the staff have the patience of saints and always treat her with respect and care even when things must be testing. The only room for improvement for me is sometimes there is a lapse in communication meaning that conversations sometimes need to be had with different members of staff in different roles. I do appreciate however that this is much the same in all walks of life as we're all human.
Reply from Samantha Baronian, Home Manager at Avonmere Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and kind words about Avonmere. We truly appreciate your thoughtful feedback.
Caring for residents living with dementia requires compassion, patience, and understanding, and we are incredibly proud of our team for the respect and kindness they show every day. We will be sure to share your lovely comments with them.

We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding communication. We are always looking for ways to improve and your comments are valuable in helping us continue to provide the best possible experience for residents and their families.

Thank you again for your support and trust in Avonmere

Southbourne Beach Care Home - Avery Collection

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I cannot rate Southbourne Beach highly enough. My mother has been a resident for 4 months now and it is such a relief not to be worrying about her. She settled in really quickly, is well cared for in really comfortable surroundings, and there are always plenty of helpful smiling staff around when needed.
The activities team put on a wide range of pursuits so residents have plenty to amuse them if they want to join in - or they can just sit and watch without being pressured. The whole care team deserve praise.
Reply from Santa Bukovska, Client Liaison Manager at Southbourne Beach Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you so much for your lovely feedback-it truly means a great deal to us all.

My friend has settled well into the home. She is happy and joins in with some of the activities, (if they don't require her to move from her chair). The staff are always helpful to the residents and their visitor. I always feel welcome. I like the fact that the residents are card for as individuals,
having their independance when necessary. I am very impressed with the cleanliness and the beauty of all areas. I have already recommended Avery to friends and family.
Reply from Shannon Mapp CSM Customer Service Manager, Customer Service Manager at Greensand House Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you for your amazing feedback. We are so happy she has settled so well and taking part in activities Greensands has to offer. The home is as much a part of the families and friends that visit as well as our residents.

My parents have both lived here for more than a year, mum in memory care and dad in assisted living. We initially chose Beaconsfield Heights based on the vibe on our first visit - everyone there is very friendly and welcoming and we are very happy we chose this home for our parents.
The staff have
treated mum and dad with great compassion and kindness, and have helped them spend quality time together and to maintain their relationship as they each progress through their dementia journey at a different speed and in a different way. It really has been wonderful to see mum and dad so well cared for.
Reply from Diana Boffin, Client Liaison Manager at Beaconsfield Heights Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you for the wonderful review. It has been our pleasure to look after your mum and dad and to support the family over the last few years. All our staff work hard to ensure a high level of care is given to our residents and it's lovely to see that acknowledged. We will ensure the kind comments are passed onto the team.

Mum had some respite here a few months ago and was impressed enough to move to the home permanently, she also said the food is fantastic. All the staff are very caring and supportive and helpful if you have any queries or concerns. They have a good range of activities, beautiful gardens and lovely
areas to sit and enjoy company or some peace and quiet on your own.

As a daughter of an elderly mother. I was faced with the decision of placing my mother whom could be difficult at times into a residential care home. It was one of the most challenging and difficult decisions of my life. I looked at a lot of care homes and began to think there was no home I could see
my mother living in. Then I found Knowle Gate. Right from the start it was amazing, and still is. The staff are really nice, friendly and caring.

At the beginning there were some teething problems but I found the staff approachable and professional.

I cannot recommend this home more highly. I thank them all the time and I'm grateful for the opportunity to leave this review enabling me to put my thoughts in writing. Thank you to all the staff and know all your efforts are acknowledged and appreciated.

Overall we as a family are happy that our relative resides at Knowlegate. The most important thing is knowing that our relative is happy. However some staff need to be more interactive with all the residents and be more well versed in understanding the more challenging behaviour that dementia can present.
Reply from Courtney Norton, Client Liaison Manager at Knowle Gate Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you for your review and for sharing your family's experience. We are delighted to hear that your relative is happy at Knowlegate, as their wellbeing and happiness are our highest priorities.

We also appreciate your constructive feedback regarding staff interaction and understanding of behaviours associated with dementia. We recognise how important meaningful engagement and specialist dementia care are for all residents, and your comments will help us continue to improve. We are committed to ongoing training and support for our team to ensure every resident receives compassionate, person-centred care.

Thank you again for your feedback and for placing your trust in us.

Overall, I am very pleased with my mum's care. The reception staff are excellent as are the activity ladies. I also find the senior carers provide detailed communication/discussion about mum's state of well-being as required. The other carers are generally friendly, smile and say hello as we arrive.
My comments on how their work could be improved include involving themselves more in residents day-to-day life beyond that of just their personal care. Sometimes we see a number of them sitting around or even sitting on the carers desk on mobile phones etc which doesn't give a good impression. This becomes more annoying when occasionally we find mum cold or thirsty and asking for a drink. Surely these are basic care needs that should be monitored throughout the day. She often looks disheveled with left over food etc down herself and/or spilled drink on her wheelchair. She deserves to be kept warm, clean and in a respectable state. Her room should also be kept locked as we've requested
Reply from Courtney Norton, Customer Service Manager at Knowle Gate Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear your positive comments about our reception team, activities staff, and senior carers, and we will ensure these are passed on.

We also appreciate your honest comments regarding the areas where we can improve. Your concerns regarding staff engagement, professionalism, and keeping doors locked have been taken seriously and will be addressed with the team.

Thank you again for your feedback, which helps us continue to improve the care and support we provide.
