Overall Experience

We have been absolutely delighted with Mum's experience at Fleet Hall so far. She has settled in incredibly well and, after only a few days, was already telling us that she wanted to stay permanently. She loves the food, has been taking part in the daily activities and is really enjoying the company of the other residents. Most importantly, she looks happier, more engaged and is clearly enjoying having people around her throughout the day. The staff have made her feel very welcome and we couldn't be more pleased with how the transition has gone.

Overall Experience

My Dad has been a resident of Knowle Gate since May 2026. We didn't want Dad going into residential care but his care needs changed and could no longer stay in his own home. From the minute we had a tour of the home, the staff were warm, welcoming and so friendly. When Dad became a permanent resident, he has been treated with respect and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. He can be a fussy eater but they always make sure his needs are catered for. Since coming to Knowle Gate everyone keeps saying how much better he is looking and I can't thank the staff enough for their support and dedication. Dad can be a bit of a loner but the Activities Co-ordinators always try and encourage him to get involved with daily activities. Each time a member of staff pops into his room, they spend time making sure he is ok, this includes domestic staff, carers and maintenance. The Drs who visit are also absolutely amazing. Thank you everyone at the home for looking after Dad and us as a family x

Overall Experience

William is treated with respect and understand how to treat him, especially when he is being difficult regards to personal hygiene. Some more recreational activity would be good. Taking into account the individual. Overall I am pleased with the care he is being given. The bathroom needs an overhaul. Lino damaged and door needs painting.

My mom came into the care home following a serious fall, initially for respite, she decided to stay longer, then told us to sell her house as she would be staying. She is mentally competent so this was her own decision.

Overall Experience
Bourn View is a Care Home for the elderly and disabled patients, and is situated in an elevated position with carefully landscaped gardens surrounding it.
The aminaties in the Home and outdoors, are very good and equipment caters for all requirements.

The staff work very hard, and are dedicated to their profession of nursing. Care is available 24 hrs a day. Visitors are very welcome during the day and there is a large free carpark facility available.

Grange care. Came to use in a time of great need. Management was excellent in all our needs and made a very-very horrendous situation bearable. Had few minor settling in problems but settled very quickly.

Staff and management all have a hello and a smile to greet you with. Medical care by nurses very professional and caring. A little bit more communication between staff and family would help and food could be a bit warmer. But in all a wonderful caring place to call home.

Overall Experience

On the whole, we are happy with the care that our mother receives at Elvy Court. The staff are always friendly and helpful and we have confidence that mum is being well looked after. Mum has suffered a couple of falls that were handled well but lessons were learned and we feel confident that the staff do review and update their training when it's needed. The care home facility is lovely, the hairdresser Sally is a gem; she is very kind and caring

My connection with Scholars Mews has been limited, but I can see that much thought and effort has been applied there and has resulted in excellence. My mum has been in a number of carehome over the past 2 years and I can say that this is the best home ive been to.
The staff are great they treat my mum and the my family so well.
It like one big family they always remember you name and on a one to one approach.
The reception staff are so good thay great you with a frendly smile and allways great you with your first name and nothing is to much to help or talk too.
The standard of care is out of this world the food is top class so nice it's what you would expect in a top class restaurant.
The staff allways are happy to talk and check how things are going.
They keep me informed on mums care by phone or in person they always explain what's going on.

My husband received respite care for one month in January 2026 and following a dementia diagnosis and discharge from hospital following two falls became a full time resident at Greensand House. All members of the staff are very friendly and caring. All speak to him by first addressing his name. He enjoys his meals in a very inviting dining room. I would have no hesitation in recommending Greensand House Care Home.

This is an amazing care home. I have written reviews of Sonning Gardens before, as my Mum ( who died recently ) was a resident for 8 years, initially when it was " Sunrise" and then " Signature". These 8 years were challenging for my Mum with health and memory problems that evolved. At every stage the staff were supportive and understood the issues. They treated Mum as an individual and there was always a sense of family. There was continuity too which we all appreciated. I am sure my Mum would not have survived the pandemic if she had not been a resident. I cannot praise the care enough and although I live 100 miles away, I would never move my Mum as there is nowhere local to me that comes close to the care provided in Sonning. In the last 2 years Mum was bedbound and cared for so well. She was very settled during time. The end of life care made a very difficult time as good as it could be.They also all supported me during this long journey and I will miss visiting now.

Emmanuella and the team do a fantastic job looking after my mother who has got "memory issues". They always try to keep her suitably occupied and busy, never letting her become distressed. It really takes the strain off me and lets me enjoy the time we have together. Emmanuella has really made a difference since she arrived with the kindness, fairness and professionalism she's brought to Silvermere.

Mum has settled really well and made lots of new acquaintances since being at Acorn Lodge. Open Day was really special with most residents able to attend along with their families making previous memories. J (Well-being) organised a trip to the Arboretum which mum loved. J & W regular provide varied activities understanding resident’s abilities, and, encouraging participation but being aware of resident physical and emotional condition. J especially shows a real interest in residents and their history which makes them feel valued. Keep up the good work.

Value for money is scored lower due to the fact residential care is expensive from the client's perspective, it's difficult to deliver that level of value. On occasions Dad has required assistance to use toilet that is slow to be provided. He has appeared untidy needing a shave. Room sometimes needs cleaning simple hoover once a day.
