Hawthorns Aldridge - Avery Healthcare

from Lynda C (Friend of Resident) published on 19 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

The Hawthorns Aldridge offers a lovely warm welcoming atmosphere from the moment you enter the reception area. My friend's rooms is beautifully decorated and well maintained. There is a lovely private dining room which I can highly recommend having recently eaten there ... the 3 course meal was amazing
... a big thank you to the Chef. There are so many members of staff that I could mention who go above and beyond in making sure an excellent level of care is provided to the residents. Entertainment and social events are held throughout the year and the recently held Saturday night Pub Quiz was a great success, I'm now looking forward to the Summer Fair.

Reply from Maisie Moore, Customer Service Manager at Hawthorns Aldridge - Avery Healthcare

Adelaide Care Home - Avery Healthcare

from Carol S (Wife of Resident) published on 19 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My husband has dementia and is bedbound. Adelaide has been his home since January this year. I visit almost every day, and I couldn't wish for better care for him. All the staff are incredible and nothing is too much trouble for them. They are kind, friendly, caring and professional. The nursing staff
always keep me up to date with his care. Knowing he is safe and well cared for is a huge comfort, as moving someone you love into a care home is a difficult decision. I highly recommend Adelaide. Thank you all.

Reply from Shiella Davies, Manager at Adelaide Care Home - Avery Healthcare

Review of

Acacia Mews Care Home - Avery Healthcare

from Victoria W (Daughter of Resident) published on 19 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

My mum enjoyed her respite stay at the home. She complimented the food on a daily basis and the quantity of it. The room was nice, but the toilet was broken, and it took one week to fix it properly. We also requested a fan on numerous occasions due to the heat, but never received one. The room was boiling
due to the heatwave. The care my mum received was very good, and she enjoyed her time, especially the music group.

Reply from Deby O'Hare, Manager at Acacia Mews Care Home - Avery Healthcare

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I apologise that your mum had to wait for the toilet to be broken. Unfortunately, they have an unusual flush panel which we have to order. We will endeavour to ensure we have a spare on site so that toilets can be fixed properly. We will also ensure we have more fans available. We are pleased to hear that overall your mum enjoyed her stay, she is always welcome should she require another respite stay.

I came last year for a short visit whilst my family were travelling abroad and so was familiar with the care home, recently, as we agreed it was the right time for me to need permanent care I was very happy to return. I have now completed my first week and can honestly say it is the right decision everyone,
all staff and carers have been so welcoming and lovely and helpful already, I know I am going to be very happy.

My mum had a 2 week respite stay following surgery. The staff were very welcoming, attentive and caring from
the start. The bedroom was lovely, the garden was beautiful and all the facilities were very well kept and clean. Overall the food was good but some days were better than others. The hairdresser
was lovely and my mum enjoyed watching a film in the cinema room. The only negative is there was a very noisy resident on my mums floor who was shouting at night, this only happened once or twice. My mum would definitely stay here again as her overall experience was very positive. The stay helped her recuperate and improve in readiness to go home.

My mum has been under the care of Acer House for the past couple of months and I couldn't be more pleased.
The staff have been very helpful, caring and empathetic to my mum and supportive in every way.
The admin staff and the other reception team are most welcoming and assist in any way they can;
going above and beyond my expectations.
The Medical staff have been great, as have two members of staff who have both been encouraging my mum to join activities and walk around their delightful grounds.
Mum says her food is enjoyable and plentiful.

Mum was unwell and wanted to go in Acer House. The staff were very understanding of the urgency and managed to get mum in swiftly and safely.

A week after mum was unwell, she had a raised temperature which the staff spotted quickly and treated. She then had an accidental fall and the team were there

very quickly to support.

Each time I was informed,

I also attended a couple of days ago and did not pass anyone on the desk in reception but had signed in. I took mum into the garden and went to get us a drink. The staff has already noticed mum had left her room and were out looking for her which was very reassuring as it had only been a couple of minutes.

They are always friendly and communicate to me what is going on and encourage mum to participate and leave her room to join in.

Reply from Sam Ealden, Manager at Acer House Care Home - Avery Healthcare

Thank you for taking the time to review Acer House Care Home, all feedback is valued and with this in mind I have initiated a change with regards to front of house being away from the desk to ensure the safest measures are in place to monitor visitors coming in and out of the building. I am pleased to hear staff looked for mum effectively when she was not in her usual place.

I particularly like the range of activities and outings that have been on offer in recent months to encourage mobility and maintain

My sister has been a resident of Westbourne Tower for 2 1/2 years. She has been suffering from dementia this entire period. In the beginning, the attention and affection she received from the care home nurses were brilliant. Now that she is entering the last chapter, the care she has received has been
extraordinary. Much love and thanks to everyone at Westbourne Tower Care Home.

My mother had been in hospital for a while and I needed help my dad find a care home for mum with specific requirements. Unfortunately the first home didn't work to mums needs. Fleet Hall had an opening, dad and I visited there and were met with absolute professionalism by the client liaison manager
and team. After a couple of days they were able to transfer mum from the hospital to Fleet Hall. From there the experience has been truly great. All the personnel and managers are wonderful. I receive very good consistent communication about mum. Moreover dad visits mum at the facility pretty much daily and they care and demonstrate so much empathy for him too.
Thanks to Fleet Hall.

Where to begin a thousand words is hardly enough for this fantastic residence. Everyone of the Staff were amazing caring and even loving, they went as far knowing all the names of each resident. We as a family were blown away by the everything that was done each room is cleaned (on Daily Basis) and
tidy, including a laundry service, meeting all the residents requirements. There always something planned to entertain the residents from Singalongs to Choirs and exercises classes to name but a few. the food was always top notch and plenty of choice to accommodate the needs of each person. There was never any pressure to join in (Entertainment) but checks were always made to ensure the wellbeing was a number one priority of all residents.

So a MASSIVE thank you to Manger, Dept Manager, Finance, FD in fact all the staff, as everyone one of them were fantastic, it really felt that they were looking after "Family" which gave our us peace of mind.

I am delighted to be moved to write a second review of Acer Car Home

My cousin has been in residence for nearly a year and everything has gone amazingly well. She was made
to feel completely welcome and the staff have been most caring and proficient. A couple of emergencies
were speedily and

competently dealt with and we look to the future with optimism. Amazingly her main
health condition of Lympodoema has improved enormously now that she is getting skilled and expert
care.

The activities and facilities on offer are wonderful and the gardens and rooms first class.

My mum has been a resident for just over 8 months. During that time I have continually witnessed mum being cared for with kindness, affection & respect. Altzheimers is a difficult condition to work with, even when mum is placid & never gets aggressive; all the staff have consistently demonstrated patience,
a cajoling manner & a great understanding of each individual resident's needs. Mum always looks clean & well cared for. All the staff are very friendly, caring to talk to, willing to listen & are proactive in giving updates. Nothing is too much trouble for the team at Acer House- everyone plays a role in the health & wellbeing of the residents.

On my last visit, the General Manager met with my brother & I to discuss mum's worsening symptoms as her condition advances. My brother & I have been aware of these over the last 6 weeks or so. The General Manager was extremely knowledgeable & showed great empathy; we trust the General Manager's judgement regarding what is best for mum's needs.

From our initial contact, to mum visiting, having respite care to moving in, they were all wonderfully kind & helpful. The care, kindness and friendship given by all the carers is exceptional. Mum enjoys the food, an important part of the day. However, they appear to be very understaffed which means
requests can take far longer than expected. Unfortunately, on several occasions meals have been delivered late so they are not very warm and a couple of times not arrived. However, the staff work very hard and try to do everything in a timely manner, it's just they need more of them.
