I chose Acer House for Mum to go to, for a month's respite, after she had been seriously ill in hospital. Two months later and Mum has now made this lovely house and gardens her permanent home. I cannot thank the friendly, caring, professional staff enough for all their kindness and care and reassurance
towards Mum. Nothing is too much trouble and we can always ask for and receive help at any time. Mum has friends and wonderful carers in her new home. All of her family and friends love to visit Acer and feel at home there too. Mum is happy and safe, which makes us happy too.

Derby Heights Care Home - Avery Healthcare

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
If i could choose anywhere for my grandma to have been it would have been here. The home itself is beautifully furnished, clean and welcoming. The activities planned are varied, relevant and fun.
Most of all the staff are kind, caring and compassionate. From the moment my gran arrived everyone was
expecting her, they knew her name and made her feel welcome and safe. On every single visit it was evident she was being cared for to the highest standard and the staff couldn't do enough for everyone. For me, it was those snippets of interactions between staff and residents you would overhear-calm, respectful and genuinely caring. You leave your visit confident that your loved one is in the best place they could be.
Reply from Laura Wood, Customer Service Manager at Derby Heights Care Home - Avery HealthcareHow wonderful to read this heart-warming review, and it is so nice to feel that all the hard work from the staff is recognised. The team are incredibly talented but more than that we all genuinely care. I am so delighted that you felt that gran was fully supported and well cared for we loved having her stay with us as part of our Derby Heights family. Thank you for your kind words which I will pass onto the team.

Every time I visit the home with my dad, everyone is really friendly. There always seems to be plenty of activities and entertainment to keep my mum occupied, and I love seeing the photos on social media. The Valentine's Day meal was a lovely event for my mum and dad; both had a great time. It's great
to see how much the staff care for the residents and make sure they have everything they need. It was a difficult decision deciding to put my mum in a home, but it was definitely the best one and the nicest home.
Reply from Sheryll ., Client Liaison Manager at Horse Fair Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you so much for your lovely feedback. It truly means a lot to our whole team. We're so pleased to hear that both your mum and dad enjoyed the Valentine's Day meal and that your visits have been such positive experiences.

Our staff work very hard to create a welcoming, caring environment with plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy, so it's wonderful to know that it makes a difference. We completely understand that choosing a care home for a loved one is never an easy decision, and we're really grateful that you trust us to care for your mum.

My mum has just spent 4 weeks respite care in Camberley Heights and I cannot recommend it enough - from discussing with Sally my mum's needs to all the care staff and all other staff it has been amazing. The room itself was roomy and bright and my mum has made an amazing recovery from when she was
admitted. The food in the restaurant was first class - three courses and very nutritious. Thank you to everyone who looked after my mum - you are ALL amazing!
Reply from Sally Castro Gouveia, CLM at Camberley Heights Care Home - Avery CollectionDear Karen, thank you so much for your lovely, kind words, it's an absolute pleasure to have looked after your mum, so glad she enjoyed it. The care mum receives from the staff at Winchester Heights is above and beyond. Mum has made friends with all the staff and all acknowledge her whenever then pass her. Mum celebrated her 95th birthday and all staff were excited for her and presented her with a special cake and balloons. Mums face truly
lit up! What a great team they all are.

From the moment we walked through the door and were met by Tracey, we knew this was where we wanted our beloved Dad to be. Tracey showed us so much compassion and answered all of our questions. It was the first Care Home we had visited, and she encouraged us to look at others to help us make the right
decision for Dad.

We did this, and it confirmed even more that Sonning Gardens was the absolute right place for Dad.

The Nurses and Carers treat Dad with dignity, kindness and respect. It is wonderful to see his eyes light up and his smile when he sees them.

The home is so beautiful and clean and the activities that they offer are outstanding. There is something for everyone. I have experienced them myself on my visits and I am always welcomed so kindly.

My Dad is so happy here and in turn that makes his family all content. We know he is in the best place.

Thank you Sonning Gardens.

My first experience of Birchmere , as a worried and anxious daughter was professional, and empathetic. I made no appointment, and was offered a hot drink, and a private room by Leanne.
She listened, gave suggestions, and much needed hope. My mum was assessed, and offered a place
We were delighted.
Its an absolute pleasure visiting, the staff, the event's coordinator the residents have been so welcoming, many more staff/ carers who have helped my Mum to settle, have been amazing.
The two professionals who work along side my Mum, keep me informed, always helpful with updates and most importantly make me feel at ease.
Thank you so much
