Father in law was warmly welcomed and settled well for his two week respite stay. Staff were attentive and respectful and friendly towards family as we dropped him off for his first stay. At the assessment, the manager and other staff spoke kindly and specifically to FiL which reassured us of their
patient first approach. A very good experience

Nothing was too much trouble from the team at Acer to help me get Mum's room ready so that when I moved her in it all felt familiar which is important when you have dementia. They went out of their way to understand Mums history and her likes and dislikes, and made sure to welcome her. She has settled
really quickly which is such a relief for me. I would not hesitate to recommend them for looking after someone with dementia.

As soon as you walk through the doors you are met with a friendly and happy environment. This goes for the happy friendly and engaging staff through to the residents themselves.
Our mother settled quickly into her lovely room with private ensuite wet room, overlooking private gardens. The standard
of the accommodation is excellent, clean with a fresh and pleasant atmosphere. The amenities are not short of what you'd find in a high level hotel.
There are regular activities each day to suit most needs.
The level of care is great. The support provided extending to our family as well as our mother. The health issues she has had have been handled sensitively and we have been kept fully involved, giving us confidence that she is being well cared for.
All the staff work so hard and their energy and commitment is obvious to see.
Thank you to all the staff at Acer House, what a great team you are and thank you for everything you do in making the home such a special place.
Reply from Sam Ealden, Manager at Acer House Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you for taking the time to review Acer House Care Home. We are pleased mum is happy in the home and you as a fmaily feel supported and comfortable with the environment. We aim to support not only the individual living with us but their network of support, ensuring a person centred approach in the best way to work collaboratively. the staff certainly do work hard to maintain the standards you have talked about, each and every one of the going above and beyond as part of their normal day to day duties.

My Mum is at Acer House and I'm so happy that she is so well looked after. Acer house is really well managed, all the people who work there are lovely. It's spotlessly clean and the rooms are well furnished, my Mums room is lovely and she is happy there. They organise lots for the residents to do
and make sure everyone is aware of what is available. The food is lovely and family can also eat with residents for a small charge. I am so pleased we found Acer House for my Mum to stay at, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere for their loved ones to stay.
Reply from Sam Ealden, Manager at Acer House Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you for taking the time to review Acer House Care Home, we are pleased to hear you are happy with the service and mum is settling nicely into her new home. Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I was impressed with Esher Manor from the first time I visited to see if it would suit my Mother. The staff were welcoming and all said hello. The manager knew all the residents names and greeted them all. The atmosphere was calm and residents appeared content. The facilities are lovely and the garden
is very well designed.
Mum went in for a trial and my initial impressions have turned out to be correct. It is a huge adjustment for her but the staff are understanding and gently encouraging. She has decided to stay in her lovely room. I would recommend anyone looking for a care home in the area to consider Eshe Manor.
Reply from Joanna Perry, Client Liaison Manager at Esher Manor Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you so much for taking the time to review Esher Manor Care Home. We are delighted that your mother who initially came for a respite trial, has now moved as a permanent resident.

My Aunt entered the Care home willingly as she felt she could no longer cope on her own. She has a beautifully appointed room with en-suite facilities and she appears to be happy with the care which she is receiving.
However she is constantly frustrated that the TV in her room regularly suffers loss
of internet connection. The problem has persisted for several weeks and she despairs of it ever being resolved. This may appear to be a small problem but to her the TV is her only source of entertainment as she feels she is too old to take part in any of the other entertainment facilities on offer. Hopefully a booster will be installed soon.

The staff are always amazing, always welcoming, polite and kind. Having my mother in a care home was something I was worried about. Adelaide have been so lovely and like extended family. Staff on Danson are so hard working and caring (especially Subo).

was made very welcome by friendly and caring staff and management. They helped with any concerns and made life as comfortable as possible. Ongoing help and assistance was always as appropriate. The permanent staff could not be faulted, always seeming to have time to chat and assist, despite their busy
workloads. The home itself is clean, bright and cheerful, with visitors always welcome.

All of the staff are caring, compassionate, friendly, and approachable, and nothing ever seems too much trouble. We are always greeted with a warm smile whenever we visit, and communication is excellent, keeping us well informed about our mum's health and wellbeing.

The home itself is clean, modern,

and welcoming, while still maintaining a homely atmosphere. The dementia unit feels very safe and secure, giving us real peace of mind.

The food is of a high standard, nutritious, and varied, with alternatives always available to suit residents' individual tastes and preferences. There is also a wide range of facilities and activities, with staff making every effort to ensure they are inclusive for all residents.

After being transferred from hospital six weeks ago in a very poor condition, our mum now seems to be thriving at Elton House and is very happy there.

We feel truly reassured knowing she is being so well cared for.

Thank you Nadia and all the team!

I'd like to express my gratitude for the care my father received at the end of his life.
Having been in a prior home Virginia Water was so much better. The staff seemed happy to be there and the place felt comfortable and relaxing. The carers also seemed very happy and able to deal with my father
and showed genuine affection.

Acer House Care Home - Avery Healthcare

I have had a continuous association with AH since 12/2012. It is not the home it once was. With a few exceptions interaction between staff and residents is transactional, not conversational or stimulating. There are different approaches between the ground and dementia care floors. For more than 2
years activities have been extremely poor (self-led activities for residents with dementia are inappropriate). Communication between the home and family is erratic and dependent entirely on individual staff. Turnover of staff is high. Despite supposedly having key workers this has never happened in my experience. Food choice is now very limited, lunch offers a main course of either vegetarian or non-veg. Relatives meetings are held quarterly but minutes have not been circulated to those unable to attend since February 2024. I have no issues with personal care. Excellent hairdressing and chiropody services are available. Front of house staff are friendly and welcoming. I would not use again!
Reply from Sam Ealden, Manager at Acer House Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you for taking the time to review Acer House care Home. We appreciate open and honest feedback, had these issues been raised with a member of the team we could have worked constructively and in partnership to improve in areas you feel did not meet your expectation. Our hairdressing and chiropody services are brilliant, since the departure of your loved one we have also introduced a dental service provided at the home as we believe holistic care and support is the best way to care and support all of our residents.

Miramar Care Home - Avery Healthcare

Mum and Dad have been residents at the Miramar for nearly two years . From the time they joined the Miramar family they have had nothing but positive and lovely things to say about each and every one of the staff . Nothing is ever too much trouble and everyone approaches everything they do with kindness
and patience. The activities, entertainment and outings provided for the residents ensure there really is never a dull moment and they often remark that it feels more like a hotel than a care home. Miramar operates an open visiting policy and every time we visit we are greeted by engaging and smiley staff and a warm atmosphere. Dad still can't believe there is coffee and freshly baked cakes on tap !
Thank you Miramar for all that you have done and all you continue doing . Karen Ross
Reply from Louise Vickers, Manager at Miramar Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you so much for your wonderful review. It means a great deal to us to hear that your parents continue to enjoy life at Miramar and feel so well supported by our team.

We are particularly pleased that you have highlighted the kindness, patience and dedication of our colleagues, as well as the activities, hospitality and welcoming atmosphere that make Miramar feel like home. And yes, our chefs will be delighted to hear that the freshly baked cakes remain a firm favourite!

My Mother was a resident at Esher Manor from November 2023 until May 2026 when she sadly passed away at the age of 94 years. My Mother was always extremely happy and found it easy to make friends with other residents, but most important of all she was extremely well cared for and had much praise for
all the wonderful staff. For my part, it was important that my Mother settled into her new home where she was cared for by kind, caring and devoted individuals and this was apparent in abundance, throughout her time with them.

My sincere thanks for all my Mothers care and devotion given by all your staff members.
