First impressions are always important. From the moment we arrived at Newcross Care Home, we felt welcomed and a lovely warmth from all the staff. Everyone is part of a big family, all looking out for each other. The home is clean and well organised. I genuinely believe it would be hard to find a better
place. Thank you for all you are doing. Oh, one last thing, what a lovely meal arrangement you have, great food in a lovely setting, it's like a 5 star restaurant.

My mum is in respite care due to ill health and me struggling to cope with her in her own home. From our first visit to look round & every step of the way in her first 3 weeks I have felt mum is safe & receiving excellent care & support. She struggled to settle initially but the kind & caring staff
& activities have helped her adjust. We have done choir practice, juice tasting & garden club together, she has taken up art again & her first trip out to a local park for a picnic was a big success. I feel so much more relaxed knowing she is in safe hands. I can now spend quality time with mum rather than responding to crisis after crisis ( I feel Newcross Care Home is caring for me too) This was demonstrated by a recent call from mum when she thought she had taken a turn for the worse. The carer I spoke to was kind, caring & reassuring & I recognised her voice on the phone & trusted her judgement implicitly. All was fine. Thank you to the manager & her team.

My Mother-in-Law has been a resident for four and a half years; we have always found her care to be of excellent standard with friendly, professional, approachable staff.
The last couple of weeks her health gradually declined & during her last 3 days the family took her bedside vigil in shifts. Still
the staff were amazing, compassionate, respectful & so supporting of all the family. They definitely went above and beyond our expectations, we can't praise them enough.

Just to say what a lovely day we had on the 18th January celebrating Mum's 91st birthday. We had a room which the staff decorated, and we were looked after very well. My mom had a lovely visit from the mayoress last week.

My husband will have been in the home 12 months this month and his care has been excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are friendly reassuring and professional, the home is like a 4-star hotel with lovely furnishings and decor and the residents' rooms are always clean. The home
has a lovely welcoming atmosphere due to the friendliness of the staff and my husband gets on well with them all.

On the sudden passing of my dear Mom, circumstances with Par made it too difficult to care for him alone at home. It is still so raw and heartbreaking, with the help and support of the care team the transition has been that much easier, they are absolutely amazing. The love they have shown to Par, giving
him encouragement to remain independent as much as possible. I am in awe of them (Wow). It's like one big happy family there, they are always watching and vigilant. I have never had any concerns, well done to you all and a massive heartfelt thank you from me.

A wonderful care home in my opinion it's the loveliest around this area. Staff are lovely, helpful and caring. Any information about the resident is communicated immediately. Atmosphere is very good. Cleanliness is perfect and the cleaners work hard to achieve this.

My mom has been a resident at Newcross Care home for almost 12 months. The staff have been wonderful... very caring, warm-hearted and professional. I have visited many care homes and Newcross was the only place I visited that had 'a heart,' and felt homely, as well as comfortable. Mom enjoys being in
company and very much appreciates the activities... especially the keep fit and the occasional outings.
The home is very well maintained, spotlessly clean, and the food is great.
I can't thank the manager and the team enough for the kindness and support they give to Mom and to us.

My li'l mom has been with Newcross for just under a year now, after being diagnosed with mixed dementia. It was such a tough decision to make, but her downturn was so quick and it was heartbreaking to see her go through so much turmoil... But, after meeting some of the wonderful staff and viewing the
home itself, it gave us hope that she could be safe and comfortable again. Newcross is exceptional and more like a hotel than a home! Everyone there is fabulous! The medical staff, activities, catering, housekeeping, reception, maintenance and those who also come in to bring extra normality, such as exercise classes, singers, hairdressers, chiropody, etc. All goes into the great attention and detail of Mom's care, but also gives her the freedom to be herself. Mom still has her ups and downs, that this horrible incurable disease brings, but she certainly has a lot more 'ups' these days and it's due to the security and care that she is being shown at Newcross. So, a massive thank you from me!

Our father has been a resident at Newcross Care home in Wolverhampton since May 2023. We cannot thank the staff enough for encouraging Dad to laugh again, to be a part of things again. Every day they have something going on to keep their residents happy. The care at Newcross is second to none, Dad was
withdrawn and unhappy since we lost Mum but now it's as if he has a new lease of life.

My dad has been a resident at Newcross Care Home for two and a half years. The care is wonderful, the staff dedicated and professional and the manager is a calm, reassuring presence who is totally across every detail.
Dad absolutely loves living there and my sister and I have peace of mind. It’s wonderful
that in his sunset years, he is cared for and loved by all those around him, just yards from a major hospital. I’m so glad we chose Newcross Care Home.

Mum has been with you for about 5 years and her care has been consistently excellent. The staff are all welcoming, efficient, patient and caring in what they do. Mum is settled there and knows how well she is treated. The staff are always cheerful and approachable. Nothing appears to be too much trouble.
The entertainment is varied and interesting and its always a pleasure to visit.
In short, the whole place is excellent. The only observation is that the CQC rating is Good. I would have thought it was Outstanding.

Our mom became a resident at Newcross Care Home following a fall at home and admission to the hospital. On our first contact with two members of staff, we were offered excellent support and understanding in what was an emotional and stressful time for us. We cannot thank all the staff enough for the
wonderful care Mom has received since her admission 6 weeks ago. She has made such good progress. The reception staff, housekeepers, maintenance (who put the adjustable bed in mom's room) catering staff and all the amazing dedicated, professional team of carers make Newcross Care Home a 5-star care home.
Our auntie received care here in 2017 for 2 years and many of the care staff that looked after her, are still there and now caring for our mom, which we think speaks volumes about a wonderful and dedicated team.
Thanks to everyone involved in Mom's care.

Beverley Aldridge

Hello, my name is Beverley, and I am delighted to be the Home Manager here at Newcross.


I have 40 years of experience within the healthcare sector and have achieved qualifications such as the Management level 4 Registered Manager's Award. Working in residential and nursing settings, my previous roles have been as an Operations Manager and a Nurse.


Within this time, I have shared many treasurable moments with the residents I have had the pleasure to meet along the way. One proud moment that has stayed with me throughout my career was when I was able to reunite one of my residents with their brother, who had lost contact and not seen each other for 15 years. To their surprise, they found out they had only been living a few miles apart the whole time.


I would best describe myself as someone who is very outgoing, warm and welcoming and always wanting the best for the home. I pride myself in providing a high-quality service to all residents ensuring they receive an exceptional level of care and have a fun, enjoyable life here at Newcross Care Home. In my spare time, I enjoy going on holiday, meeting with friends for meals out and spending time with my family.
