Sadly my lovely 98 year old mother fell at home and broke her hip. After a successful hip replacement at the hospital and rehabilitation at Hemel, which was a waste of time, I found Elstree view for a months respite care. From the moment I walked into the lovely home and met the incredibly helpful managers
and staff, I knew it was a perfect home for my mother..we are now 3 weeks into respite care and there is no way my mother could go back to her home, therefore she has decided to become a full time resident and enjoy the care that Elstree View offers.

My mother initially arrived at Elstree for respite care in July 2024, after she had had a fall and broken her hip. As she has been so happy there and well looked after, she decided to stay permanently. My mother is very sociable and could sometimes get very lonely at home, so it's been wonderful to
see how much happier she is now. She has made lots of lovely friends and the staff are outstanding. They all genuinely care and nothing is too much trouble. All her medical needs are looked after by the excellent in-house nurses and the accommodation is newly furnished to a high-spec. My mother really enjoys the food and the entertainment laid on is regular and to a high standard. The surrounding gardens are very pretty and a nice place to have tea in the afternoons when the weather is nice. My family and I couldn't be happier with the way my mother is being cared for and feel very lucky to have found Elstree. Thank you to all the staff for making my mother's transition so smooth!

Dad's Care Home was originally known as 'Sunrise' it was taken over by 'Signature' and latterly it's run by 'Avery'. The home has recently had a complete makeover in all communal areas and bedrooms; it looks really luxurious. The Home is on two floors and guests with dementia, needing more intensive
care, live on the second floor. The Care Home has always been very welcoming and attentive. Especially the home's Manager and her staff, who have all been wonderful to my father, throughout his stay. The medical support has been excellent and communication is very good, too. Picturesque setting at Elstree View and adequate parking. We are very happy and we thoroughly recommend this Home. I do have concerns that some key staff have left and this could have been avoided. Overall, Elstree View are doing a great job, thank you.

My parents moved into the home 12 years ago, when they were still active and mobile. They enjoyed their independence while at the same time feeling safe in a protected environment. As they became less able to fend for themselves, they relied more on the care and services offered to them, especially
as illnesses began to surface. I have always found the staff friendly and caring and always there to help. Now that my mother is on her own, she still feels secure, receiving all the care that she needs. I feel happy that she is being well looked after and I can visit her at any time.

My mum started her time at Elstree View in Assisted Living and has now been in Orchids for a year. Her care is wonderful. The staff are kind and caring and my mum is very content and happy. They seem to know what she needs and when and you can see by and way mum responds to the carers she trusts and
loves them. When she can, she joins in with activities but she is happiest in her room being cared for. Thank you to all the staff in Orchids and to all the staff who help and support her.

The staff are always on hand and very attentive to my father and stepmother's needs. Nothing appears to be too much trouble, and the staff are always responsive to questions raised. The quality of the food is satisfactory but the service could improve slightly by serving hot food. Overall, very happy

Overall, the staff look after my mother better than I or my family could and even though she can be very cantankerous they genuinely seem to like her and treat her with compassion and understanding, plus they have worked out her needs, even though she has limited communication ability.

My relative has moved into Elstree View Care home in early March when she was discharged from a recent admission to hospital. The whole process has been brilliant. All the staff that I have met so far are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The admission process was done so efficiently - from viewing the
Home to admission was less than a week. Her care has been exemplary. The food is plentiful and tasty with good choice. The building, communal areas and individual rooms are beautiful - freshly decorated with continuing decorating happening in some areas. The entertainment is varied and staff help her to become involved in activities, if she wishes. The clinical and medical care is regular and far easier to access than when she was at home. We feel she is much better looked after 24/7 and much safer in the Home than with a carer in her own home.

My dad moved into Elstre View Care Home in October. The staff have all come out of their way to help him settle in and he is now an active member of the community. He has lived more in the last 3 months than he has in the last three years. He is very comfortable, happy and safe and I can visit him as

Overall a good experience. The fact that a major refurbishment was taking place meant a lot of banging at times. Joined in and enjoyed almost all activities. Standard of room cleaning and bed making poor. The staff very good at remembering and using my name.

Elstree View, in the 4 or so months since my cousin has been a resident there, has made her feel totally at home. I visit her at least once or twice a week, and can clearly see how relaxed, cared for and happy she is. A big thank you to the staff, carers and all involved. I cannot find one negative
thing to say. She has lost all the anxious feelings she had in her flat, she is eating and sleeping better.

We really notice how each resident not just my mum is treated individually specifically with so much care and patience, kindness and lovingly. Despite all the difficult circumstances the staff find themselves dealing with it is always done well, brilliantly actually. Food is always great mum always

My 96-year-old uncle finally agreed to move to a care home after several years of doggedly trying to retain his independence. We, his family and his friends were concerned about his ability to continue living independently. We were glad when all other options were rejected in favour of moving to a care
home. We arranged a visit to Elstree View and were very happy to find that members of staff remembered him from a previous stay to convalesce following surgery and made him very welcome. Further discussion achieved agreement and he now resides happily at Elstree View in a very nice flat where he has integrated into the community. It is evident that he is receiving excellent care and is fed regularly and well. He is gently and respectfully treated and his health is monitored and I receive regular reports. It is a pleasure to deal with the staff and our concerns about his living standards and safeguarding have been addressed.

I started working in the elderly care sector in 2010 and have been at Elstree View since 2019.


I was promoted from Dementia Care Manager to Deputy Manager in 2022 and to General Manager in 2023.


My background is predominantly in dementia care, and I was extremely proud to complete my postgraduate Master’s in Dementia Studies in 2019.


I am passionate about providing person-centred care for our residents as well as supporting family and friends to be involved in the care of their loved ones.


I find my job hugely rewarding and it is great to work with such a long-serving, committed and caring team here at Elstree View Care Home.

My name is Simona Ciuperca and I am the Deputy Manager at Elstree View.


I started with the company in January 2021 as a Residential Care Manager and I am very happy to call Elstree View home.


I first started working in Care Industry in 2010 initially as a Registered General Nurse. Since then, I have grown and developed in the management area, completing my QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care and Leadership.


I feel very passionate about residents’ care and ensuring that high standards are reached and maintained.


Every resident living in our community has a voice and we are here to support their choices while respecting their dignity and providing them with the support they need to start a new life at Elstree View.


As someone who likes to be challenged and has a proven aptitude for providing a high level of professional care with a truly resident-focused approach, I am excited to utilize my management expertise and significant nursing skills to ensure our residents enjoy the best possible lifestyle.

I started working in the care sector 2014 as a care assistant and have worked in various roles within social care, developing my skills and knowledge along the way. I completed my Level 5 diploma in leadership and management in health and social care in 2019. I have been working at Elstree view since July 2022 as the dementia care manager on The Orchids and can honestly say I have enjoyed every minute.

The reason I am so drawn to working in care is knowing that each day I can make a difference in someone’s day no matter how big or small that difference is. Working as a dementia care manager can be challenging at times but I find it truly rewarding.

Everyone deserves to receive the highest standard of care possible so taking a personal-centred approach is a key part of my work ethic. I am very passionate about working with those who are living with dementia and supporting their families. I will also do everything I can to support my residents and their families.

I have been working in a care setting for 20 years and it's been the best choice I made. I had the privilege to grow up with my grandparents around me and cared for my mother, therefore, to me the elderly will always be my family and as such, it felt special walking into this home eighteen months ago. My role as BOC is central to all other departments ensuring the administration function continues to flow smoothly. I am committed to helping the dedicated team, residents and families giving my best at all times. It is always a pleasure when a resident knocks on my door with a query or stops for a chat in the corridor, I enjoy listening to them, I respect them and am always happy to help and bring a smile.

I am a passionate, caring, approachable and respectful person in everything I do. I love my job and feel loved by everyone, always being asked many times how I keep my infectious smile in everything I do.


I started my job 10 years ago as a housekeeper, going room by room where I felt like I was visiting many homes while still carrying out my duties, having a chat with our residents, offering support and respect. After 8 years as a housekeeper, I was given the opportunity to become a Dining assistant, and then more recently I was offered the position of Dining room supervisor where I feel much appreciation from my colleagues and residents, I feel proud that I can demonstrate my abilities, improve my performance, while spending more time with our residents, and obviously not losing my smile.


I am always considering the residents as my parents, I try to comfort them, reassuring them that I’m here to help because I’m a sensitive person. I’m professional and I care very much.

I have been part of the Elstree team since 2007. I started working within the housekeeping team which I very much enjoyed, and I then developed my skills and became part of the care team. This taught me a range of knowledge that has helped me to understand our residents and their needs and preferences. I then became the dining room supervisor which I loved and stayed in this role for 10 Years. I am now the Reception Manager and part of the front-of-house team.
