SHE WAS HOME AND SAFE!!!
Cate, Stevie and the team welcomed her with open arms, warmth and kindness. A weight of her mind and ours.
From day one she was a person, greeted with dignity and made to feel so so welcome.
We as her family are so grateful that the first few hours were not intimidating, frightening and alone. She as a resident is so so HAPPY and that is job done.
The manner in which she was welcomed has continued and escalated every day since she walked in two weeks ago.
It is everything we as her family and she as the recipient of care could have dreamed of
Thank you Cate, Stevie and all of the team

I started working in the elderly care sector in 2010 and have been at Elstree View since 2019.
I was promoted from Dementia Care Manager to Deputy Manager in 2022 and to General Manager in 2023.
My background is predominantly in dementia care, and I was extremely proud to complete my postgraduate Master’s in Dementia Studies in 2019.
I am passionate about providing person-centred care for our residents as well as supporting family and friends to be involved in the care of their loved ones.
I find my job hugely rewarding, and it is great to work with such a long-serving, committed and caring team here at Elstree View Care Home.
My name is Simona Ciuperca, and I am the Deputy Manager at Elstree View.
I started with the company in January 2021 as a Residential Care Manager, and I am very happy to call Elstree View home.
I first started working in the care industry in 2010, initially as a Registered General Nurse. Since then, I have grown and developed in the management area, completing my QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care and Leadership.
I feel very passionate about residents’ care and ensuring that high standards are reached and maintained.
Every resident living in our community has a voice, and we are here to support their choices while respecting their dignity and providing them with the support they need to start a new life at Elstree View.
As someone who likes to be challenged and has a proven aptitude for providing a high level of professional care with a truly resident-focused approach, I am excited to utilise my management expertise and significant nursing skills to ensure our residents enjoy the best possible lifestyle.
I will always welcome and encourage involvement in our home from the friends and relatives of our residents, so please contact me at any time to discuss any suggestions you may have.
I started working in the care sector in 2014 as a care assistant and have worked in various roles within social care, developing my skills and knowledge along the way. I completed my Level 5 diploma in leadership and management in health and social care in 2019. I have been working at Elstree View since July 2022 as the dementia care manager on The Orchids and can honestly say I have enjoyed every minute.
The reason I am so drawn to working in care is knowing that each day I can make a difference in someone’s day, no matter how big or small that difference is. Working as a dementia care manager can be challenging at times, but I find it truly rewarding.
Everyone deserves to receive the highest standard of care possible, so taking a person-centred approach is a key part of my work ethic. I am very passionate about working with those who are living with dementia and supporting their families. I will also do everything I can to support my residents and their families.
I first started working in the care sector in 2009 when I started as a care manager for Elstree View. I have worked my way through different positions within Elstree View over the last 15 years, where I have now found myself dealing with all the new enquiries that come into the community, which I do enjoy very much.
It is great meeting potential new residents and giving them a tour of our home, as well as hearing their stories on how they have come to stay at Elstree, some being sad as well as happy. I’m here to support and make this part of their journey as stress-free as possible. Please contact me and arrange a tour of our lovely home.
I started working in care because I am passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives. As a Well-being and Activities Coordinator, I love creating meaningful experiences that bring happiness, purpose, and connection to residents each day. Whether it’s organising activities, celebrating special occasions, or simply spending time getting to know each person, I find it incredibly rewarding to see the impact these moments can have. Knowing that I can help make someone’s day brighter is what makes me love my role and feel proud to work in care.
I have been working in a care setting for 20 years, and it's been the best choice I made. I had the privilege to grow up with my grandparents around me and care for my mother; therefore, to me, the elderly will always be my family, and as such, it felt special walking into this home eighteen months ago. My role as BOC is central to all other departments, ensuring the administration function continues to flow smoothly. I am committed to helping the dedicated team, residents and families, giving my best at all times. It is always a pleasure when a resident knocks on my door with a query or stops for a chat in the corridor. I enjoy listening to them, I respect them and am always happy to help and bring a smile.
I have been part of the Elstree team since 2007. I started working within the housekeeping team which I very much enjoyed, and I then developed my skills and became part of the care team. This taught me a range of knowledge that has helped me to understand our residents and their needs and preferences. I then became the dining room supervisor which I loved and stayed in this role for 10 Years. I am now the Reception Manager and part of the front-of-house team.
I love meeting and helping people throughout the day.
I’m honoured to work in a great organisation such as this. I have worked for 9 years and 8 months, and I’m passionate about delivering high-quality service and am very strict on infection control. I have a great and dedicated team under me, which I’m very proud of. My goal is to ensure that everywhere in the community is clean and tidy and that our residents are safe from contracting infections.
I wanted to give back to the community in a meaningful way, and I love being part of a team that makes a real, positive difference in people’s daily lives. I genuinely believe everyone deserves a safe, dignified, and comfortable place to live.
I particularly enjoy being the Maintenance Coordinator as it lets me directly improve residents’ quality of life, whether I’m quickly fixing something to prevent discomfort or proactively maintaining the home, so it always feels warm and welcoming. I take great pride in knowing that a well-cared-for environment helps our residents feel secure, happy, and truly at home.
