Having visited Elstree View on several occasions, I have found the staff very friendly and the residents happy and engaged with the great activity programme. Very clean home, with nice menu choices. Would recommend this home as it has the wow factor.

During my time here over the past few weeks, I have found that my own, wellbeing has indeed been a key factor on my way back to recovery. The care administered to me as well as other residents in the home has been for me a 'caring experience' and one that I shall have fond memories to take home with me. Being active in participating in helping out in the quiz evening, singing group and reading to the residents on the second floor (I shall miss). I hope to be back for Christmas and take the Harvest Festival Service.

I'm delighted with the care my sister-in-law receives at Elstree View Care Home. Having moved her here from another care home, I really noticed the improvement in so many things. The rooms are much more luxurious and spacious. There are more activities, and the staff are more attentive. I receive regular updates by email on her well-being and am kept in touch with anything that may occur. All in all, I would recommend Elstree View to anyone who needs care. My mind is at rest that she is very well looked after.

My mother has been a resident at Avery for almost a year. She tells me often how lovely the staff are, always looking after her and making her comfortable. She likes to be independent and she is supported to do her own thing but also encouraged to join in the numerous events and entertainments that go on daily. I am a regular visitor and can see for myself how dedicated all the staff are to my mum and all the residents and visitors. Reception always greet you so warmly and all the carers are helpful and do whatever they can for your comfort and wellbeing. Too many names to list but special mention to one member of staff in particular who goes above and beyond to make things run smoothly for my mum sorting out everyday issues as they occur. The director of community relations is also always on hand to make us laugh and swiftly make arrangements for us as required and advise on any questions or queries. The beautiful building and gardens need to be seen to be believed. It is a comfort to know that my mum is being so well looked after.

My mother entered the care home last December after a week's stay in hospital.
As a family, we have found every member of staff extremely friendly and helpful at all times.

Since being at Avery my mother has put on weight and maintains a healthy appetite. Avery offers weekly outings to the cinema, and museums and drives into the country and Mum enjoys these trips. The entertainment provided is excellent. Mum has settled in very well and being at Avery gives our family peace of mind, knowing how well cared for Mum is.

My Mother has been at Elstree View since 1st June for respite following an insurance loss requiring her to find somewhere to stay. The staff have made every effort to make her feel at home, welcomed her, and go out of their way to find activities that she personally enjoys. All the staff are helpful and attentive, nothing is too much trouble. They treat the residents with such compassion and respect. It is highly likely that she will remain at Elstree View instead of returning to her home.

My mother has been with you for just over a year and, in that time, I have noticed how well she has settled, in no small part due to the excellent care and attention she has received, with dignity at all times, in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Staff are friendly, approachable and efficient, appearing to be happy in their work, with a genuine interest in the welfare of the residents. The building is light, airy and spotlessly clean, with beautiful, well maintained grounds and the food is of a very high standard. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to those considering a similar facility in their later years.

My mother-in-law has been at Signature Elstree since December 22. Every time I go there with my wife to visit her mum I am struck by the happy atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. There is always something interesting going on and lovely smells from the dining room. She often likes to have dinner in her room while she carries on sorting out her things and keeping herself busy. She raves about the lovely food. My wife is much reassured that her mum is in such a lovely caring environment.

Signature Elstree is such a welcoming, friendly and calm environment to be in. The staff are so friendly to my grandmother, who is a resident, and also to my family whenever we visit: they are accommodating and comforting and provide everything you could possibly need.

The building itself is beautiful and spacious, and my personal favourite room is the beautifully decorated art room, where residents can paint at their own leisure. The food is also very high quality and delicious; my family and I ate the Fish and Chip supper on a Friday and left feeling very content and, most importantly, full up! I am so happy that my grandmother is a resident at Signature Elstree and my family feel secure and confident that she is in good, caring hands.

Every time I visit my mum in Reminiscence (the specialist dementia unit at Signature Elstree), I feel confident (and relieved) that she is receiving such good care. Staff members are fabulous: patient, attentive and warm. The bond they forge with the residents is manifest, as is the degree to which each resident gets bespoke attention. The way they celebrated my mum's 90th birthday was genuinely touching. Housekeeping always seems to be at a very high standard as regards both laundry and the spotless bedroom. Whilst my mum's Alzheimer's has made it harder for her to hold conversations, I know that she takes full advantage of the numerous activities and relishes meal times. She has been at Signature for 18 months now, and I am delighted with how smoothly and successfully the home has become her home.

Our mother has lived at Signature at Elstree for several years, and we are extremely pleased with how well-run the home is.
The staff really respects the residents and knows them well, and everyone who works there is extremely warm, patient, and caring.
My mother has a lovely, light and airy room, and the whole place is well-maintained and in a beautiful well-tended setting.
We're so pleased Mum is living there.

Highly recommended.

Choosing a home for an elderly parent is daunting. Signature at Elstree has proven to be the best possible choice for my mother. The residents are treated with dignity, are all well-presented, and the home is immaculate. Staff members are approachable and friendly. The menu choices are well-planned - my mother has gained weight since she arrived, which was very necessary! The home provides entertainment and a varied programme of activities. The activities coordinators also offer outings for those wishing to venture out. Hairdressing, manicure and chiropody are all available on-site. The home is well-managed. Best decision ever - I would highly recommend Signature at Elstree.

Our mother has been a resident at Signature of Elstree for almost a year. In that time, we have found all the staff to treat her with the utmost respect. If we have any questions, there is always a point of contact, and any issues are always dealt with promptly.
The home is exceptionally well run by the management team, and the concierge staff are wonderful. Everyone is so approachable too.
The property is spotlessly clean and well-maintained. There is always plenty going on, including quizzes/games, crafts, keeping fit and film shows, as well as several outings.
There is a very good, varied menu and afternoon tea in the bistro daily.

This has to be the very best care home for miles, and we are delighted that we chose this for our mother, who has even forged a few new friendships since arriving.

I have been working at Elstree View since July 2022 as the dementia care manager on The Orchids and can honestly say I have enjoyed every minute.

The reason I am so drawn to working in care is knowing that each day I can make a difference in someone’s day, no matter how big or small that difference is. Working as a dementia care manager can be challenging at times, but I find it truly rewarding.

Everyone deserves to receive the highest standard of care possible, so taking a person-centred approach is a key part of my work ethic. I have been working in a care setting for 20 years, and it's been the best choice I made. I had the privilege to grow up with my grandparents around me and care for my mother; therefore, to me, the elderly will always be my family, and as such, it felt special walking into this home eighteen months ago. My role as BOC is central to all other departments, ensuring the administration function continues to flow smoothly. I am committed to helping the dedicated team, residents and families, giving my best at all times.
