Mum went into Crispin Court in January and with the care and support of the staff has made huge progress. The facilities are more like a hotel than a care home, the food is beautiful and there are many activities. Staff are very helpful, kind and caring, it makes it a pleasure to visit mum in such a fantastic home and feel confident she is safe and well cared for.

My mum was admitted to hospital late November 2025 after having a UTI (water infection) whilst in hospital Mum admitted she wasn't coping at home on her own. On discharge she needed a care package so my sister and I after after discussion with Mum, placed Mum as a respite in Hempstalls this was mid Decemeber. We can all say that Mum has truly flourished, her health and wellbeing has improved 100% Thanks to all staff and we gladly recommend Hempstalls.

My father has been at Rowan Court for 2½ years and has flourished thanks to the excellent care provided by all staff. My dad has been a resident for 6 months now. Naturally we had our concerns that dad would not settle and it was a difficult time for the family. Dad's accommodation is excellent and the care he receives is spot on. All carers are courteous to dad and consider his needs. Any issues are quickly advised to myself and I feel confident dad is being looked after in the best way possible.

My mother has been a resident in the dementia unit here for nearly 6 months. The staff show incredible patience and genuinely understand the complexities of dementia. They treat her with total dignity, ensure she is always neatly dressed, and gently encourage her to join in with the daily music sessions, lite physical activity, craft time and broad church services. Communication with our family is excellent; the manager calls us immediately with any health updates. The home is clean, bright, and smells fresh. It brings our family immense peace of mind knowing she is safe and loved."

Review of Hanford Court Care Home - Avery Healthcare from Sarah W (Daughter of Resident) published on 13 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Choosing a care home for mum was one of the hardest decisions we've ever had to make, and we've been incredibly grateful for the care mum has received at Hanford Court.
What stands out isn't the facilities or big promises - it's actually the people. The team genuinely care. They know Mum as a person, not just as a resident, and they go out of their way to make her smile, laugh and feel valued every single day. Even when she's having a difficult day, they treat her with enormous patience, kindness and warmth.
The care feels honest, down-to-earth and deeply compassionate. It's proper Stokie care - hardworking, unpretentious and full of heart. Nothing ever seems too much trouble, and it's clear the staff take real pride in looking after everyone.

Knowing Mum is somewhere she is safe, cared for and surrounded by people who genuinely enjoy spending time with her gives us enormous peace of mind. We can't thank everyone at Hanford Court enough for everything they do

Review of Rowan Court Care Home - Avery Healthcare from R M (Son-in-law of Resident) published on 6 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My initial experience is first dampened, by the fact we are constantly unable to park on the home's car park. We counted the number of people/visitors in the 'visitors' log book who were currently booked-in, against car park spaces. This suggested that the staff were parked on this car park, which was clearly "sign-posted" for visitors only? Considering we pay for the care, this is unacceptable practice. Electric plug socket was broken and on the floor for days. I had to change the extension lead myself, which was damaged because the bed was pushed into it? Dirty tissues under the bed. Wrong clothing items in the wardrobe. Improvements must be made!

Review of Bridge Manor Care Home - Avery Healthcare from David G (Son of Resident) published on 2 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
A warm and welcoming care home that provides its residents with a safe and secure environment.
Staff are kind and friendly, treating residents with respect and dignity.
Mom has been a resident for 12 weeks now.
She has made new friends and enjoyed a broad range of activities including attending church services, visiting singers and piano players as well as enjoying the in-house cinema.
She is also able to have her hair done in the home and is visited by a chiropodist.
Is well supported by a local GP practice and visiting district nurse.
Mom loves her single room with en-suite wet room.
Visiting Mom in this care home is enjoyable. There is a lift and the gardens are beautiful.
I have nothing but praise for this care home.
I am grateful every day for the way they look after Mom.
I would strongly recommend this care home for anybody looking for their family and loved ones.
You will not be disappointed.

Thank you Bridge Manor for all you do.

My father has received excellent care over the past month, in fact for the whole time he has been here - 18 months. He is treated with respect and kindness at all times. He has just celebrated his 100th birthday. The staff helped us give him a wonderful birthday and it's thanks to the care he has received at Darwin Court that he has reached this milestone. I cannot speak highly enough about the care and support provided by this care home. From the moment we first visited, the staff made us feel welcome, reassured, and confident that our loved one would be in safe and caring hands. Moving into residential care is never an easy decision for a family, but the kindness, patience, and professionalism shown by everyone here made the transition so much easier.

The carers are truly compassionate and treat every resident with dignity and respect. They take the time to get to know each individual personally, understanding their preferences, routines, and needs. It is clear that the wellbeing and happiness of residents are always the top priority. The staff are attentive, approachable, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure residents feel comfortable and cared for.

The home itself is clean, warm, and welcoming, with a lovely atmosphere throughout. The rooms and communal areas are well maintained, creating a safe and homely environment.
