Mum unfortunately only had a short stay at Southampton Manor, having had to move from a residential home to one capable of nursing care. She was bedridden for this period so never got to experience all the excellent facilities. I was nevertheless hugely impressed with this carehome. The quality of the
accomodation is first class, but above that their people are very high quality - welcoming, personable, competent and highly experienced, caring and capable particuarly when it came towards the end of mum's life.
Reply from Grant Gibson, Client Liaison Manager at Southampton Manor Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughtful review. we are deeply sorry for the loss of your mum and feel privileged that we were able to care for her during such and important time. The high standard of care is evident in all areas. What makes Camberley Woods such a good choice for my Mum's care is quite simple really. 1/ She is very happy there 2/ The staff are quite simply brilliant from reception to maintenance and all departments in between. It's such a big decision when looking
for a Care Home that you hope will be the right choice for looking after your Mum, I feel we made the right choice in all respects and feel very satisfied that my Mum is happy, safe and well cared for. She has been there over a year now and her general well being has improved no end after living on her own in her retirement flat. Proper nutrition, stimulation and general care..what a transformation, all down to the care given at Camberley Woods.
Reply from David Windeatt, Client Liaison Manager at Camberley Woods Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you so much for taking the time to leave such a fantastic review about the care your mum received. We are delighted to hear that your mum's experience was such a positive one, and it's incredibly rewarding to know that the care, support, and compassion shown made a difference to both of you. I'm so happy that my Dad was able to move from hospital to Camberley Woods Care Home. He requires complex care and is very happy and well looked after by all the staff. The staff take an interest in him as an individual rather than just seeing him as an old man. Visitors are encouraged and also made
to feel welcome.

Following a spell in hospital at the end of January, Dad did not recover his strength. Sadly he passed away in mid-March. During the period of his decline I cannot thank the care home staff enough for their diligent and compassionate care of Dad.

When he moved to Lavender Lodge two years ago it was

following a spell in hospital that left him unable to care for himself. The loss of his independence was initially frustrating, but once settled in he realised he was very much in the right place. As a family we honestly believe we had two more years with Dad thanks to him being looked after so well.
Reply from Pranav Vaidya, Home Manager at Lavender Lodge Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you so much for your kind words. We are truly grateful to know that Dad felt settled and cared for at Lavender Lodge and that we were able to support him and your family over the past two years. I am a retired Registered Nurse from the NHS and have been on the Nursing Register for over 46 years prior to my retirement.
My mother has been a resident of the home for over 4 years and has consistently received a very high standard of care.
The care delivered has been over and beyond all expectations
and I am very grateful to all staff involved in my mother's care.
You feel the warmth and serenity of the ambience from the moment you walk into the facility and until you leave. I feel part of an extended family each time I visit my mother. Well Done to Erika and her Team
Reply from Pamela Sharman, Client Liaison Manager at Pemberley House Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you so much for your lovely review, it is heart warming to hear as this is what we aim for, that we are very much a family home and all relatives and extended families are made to feel welcome, it is a pleasure to look after your mother.

Pemberley House Care Home - Avery Healthcare

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Pemberley House has been a place of genuine comfort and reassurance for our family, and most importantly, for my grandmother, who now calls it home. Entrusting the care of a loved one to others is never easy, but from the very beginning, the team at Pemberley House have demonstrated a level of compassion,
dignity, and professionalism that has far exceeded our expectations.

What stands out most is the kindness of the staff. There is a quiet consistency in the way they treat residents- not as patients, but as individuals with rich lives, histories, and personalities. My grandmother is spoken to with warmth and respect, and it's clear that her wellbeing is not just a duty, but something they genuinely care about.

We are deeply grateful to the entire team for the dignity, kindness, and humanity they bring to work each day. It is not simply a place of care- it is a place of compassion, and that makes all the difference. Thank you.

I was dumped here under false pretences for 2 weeks to recuperate from hospital. Still stuck here. Does seem odd that a shed cannot be put up which would keep outdoor toys dry & clean, and is now rotting as water runs down back to hedge because management cannot decide. I do think the carers should
be taught what cutlery to use and speak English fluently. Sharp knives & forks would be helpful. I find knives so blunt wont peel hard fruit well or cut meat sometimes. Garden & Julie my great comfort and my birds. I think you should decide whether you are a care home, nursing or residental, all have different requirements. I was kidnapped & brought here never asked if I wanted to come. Food awful. You want to get some proper spinal matresses, so folk like me don't have back ache the whole time I have a lovely one at home. If you send a carer, I do not think we have to pay - as that is part of caring. I do not need a wheelchair taxi. I sit in a seat. Last time I went in the owner drove and he asked why you booked one when I sit in a seat. He told me because you had booked that particuarl day he could not take a lady who had broken both legs and was in a chair to hospital, so she missed her appointment. It was too late to book a transport ambulance. I have asked for an ordinary taxi. Wheelchair ones are so high to climb in. That is how my bad leg got out. You need sharp knives and a leg guard for injured legs. Blunt knives to residents.
Reply from Ewa Jaworska, General Manager at Camberley Woods Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience has not met your expectations and that you are feeling unhappy during your stay.
We always aim to provide a safe and supportive environment for everyone in our care, and we take comments about comfort, communication, equipment, and daily living arrangements seriously. Your feedback has been noted and will be shared with the relevant teams so that the points raised can be reviewed and considered.

My husband was in Pemberley House for 3 weeks respite care through March and we were both very happy with the care he received. His care needs are many but he was always helped in every way by kind, courteous and considerate people who always had a smile and a cheery manner. I too was always welcomed
by all the staff and carers whenever I visited my husband. I would have no hesitation in taking my husband back to Pemberley House if either respite or more permanent care is needed in the future.

There are not enough words to describe the level of care my Aunt receives in Camberley Woods. I have never experienced such kindness, respect, thoughfullness and attitude of every member of staff. The manager, receptionists, carers and nurses are excellent, such caring, respectful staff. Nothing is

After looking at a few care/nursing homes in the area, we decided Southampton Manor was the right home for my mum. From the initial contact to our last visit we were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble from the caring staff, receptionist to management team, everyone went above and
beyond. There are very good activities and entertainment everyday if you wish to participate, the residents are never neglected and if the carers have time will spend time with you in your room, everyone seems happy and pleased to make a difference to each resident. The location is also perfect with lots of lovely walks across the common and sports center inc a few pubs in walking distance. I would grade this home as excellent.

My Dad spent the final month of his life at this nursing home, & although we thought he would be there much longer, the care he received in that short time was exceptional. The staff treated him as if he were a long-term resident from the moment he arrived - warm, attentive, patient, & genuinely positive
in everything they did.
There is a lovely atmosphere in the home: people are busy, energetic, & clearly take pride in their work. Everyone we met was ready to listen, offer support, & help with anything we needed. They were wonderful with my dad, but also incredibly kind to my brother & me as we navigated the last days of his life.
Dad's room was beautiful, more like a small studio flat than a typical care home room, which made him feel safe, settled, & at peace. Knowing there was always someone right outside his door comforted him enormously.
We could not have asked for a more caring, peaceful place for Dad to spend his final days. I am deeply grateful to every member of the team.

Excellent care and attention to detail by the medical staff and carers. My dad is bed bound and like a few other "guests" was unable to appreciate the entertainment that sometimes is available to other guests in the main area. Would it be possible for cameras to be installed so that the "entertainment"
can be shown on the TVs in the rooms of those unable to attend, due to physical or medical inability to get out of their room. Just an idea that would offer inclusion for those who are bed bound.

I would like to thank the staff at Lavender Lodge for all they did for my mother. The care was first class, and I couldn't have expected more. With low staff turnover, you could get to know people on a more personal basis and this was so much better for my mother than constant personnel changes. Activities
were always offered. The location is safe, right next to a park - great for sunny days and wheelchair accessible. I would recommend Lavender Lodge without hesitation. We were so lucky to get a vacancy and spend our last days there.
