Everyone is very caring compared to the last place I was in it's like Buckingham Palace whatever you ask for they try to get it for you. If you don't particularly like the food on offer you can ask for something else and they'll do it. They keep us entertained twice a day except weekends which the organisers have off.

My mother has been a resident for almost 6 years, which includes Covid-19 time. My mother settled well and restrictions that ensued during the pandemic were handled well by staff/management, which I was eternally grateful for given the circumstances. I wish to thank the care home staff for their professionalism in caring for my mother. I find staff friendly, patient, with good communication; emphatic to mother's (and my) needs. Mother appears happy, presentable and comfortable. Staff share their knowledge in respect of the condition my mother has, which gives further insight and understanding of her behaviour and emotional welfare. Consideration is taken when involving mother in activities and I feel I can join in at any time to support her. I am confident that mother can express her feelings, opinions and choices without judgement and are followed through whenever possible. We are given space and privacy to enjoy our time together and are helped by staff practically if necessary.

The meals are varied and appropriate.

Her stay here has also taken away her previous thoughts about care homes and she's really enjoying the experience with lots to do if she wants to participate.

I love visiting Alder House and seeing how happy and fulfilled the residents are. I firmly believe that my mum is getting the best care possible, which helps me to sleep soundly at night!

My husband took a couple of days to settle, but afterwards he was very content. The staff were absolutely brilliant and so caring towards him. The staff were always polite and informative when I rang.

My mum has lived at Acer Court since February 2026 and she loves it. She feels safe and well looked after. She was able to bring some of her own furniture and belongings to make her beautiful furnished ensuite room seem like home. There is a family laundry and cleaning team which keep the whole place spotless. The food menu caters for all diet types with lots of variety and choice. The most important thing is the fantastic staff. They are all extremely warm, friendly and caring, making the whole place feel like one big family. It is a tremendous place.

My mother has been in there 4 months and the difference it has made to my her health and life is incredible.

When my mother first came to Acer Court, her admission was very welcoming. All staff on duty came to introduce themselves. She has been with you since April 2026 and is now permanently staying with you as she is unable to care for herself. We feel confident she is cared for properly and has settled as much as she can under the circumstances.

My mum enjoyed her stay at Acer Court. This was her 3rd stay here. She's very well looked after, good food, entertainment, activities and the staff are lovely. The residence is clean, smells nice and welcoming.

Care home does provide events and activities for residents which is very good.

Alder House is like a second home to our family. The staff are like family. They look after mum superbly. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We feel so happy to have mum here.

Mum hasn't got into the routine of stockings on shower, etc., in the morning. Mum has now returned after a fall, so hopefully this will become more routine. Appreciate mornings are extremely busy.

Overall, a great deal of thought goes into making everyone feel settled and supported. We would happily recommend this nursing home for both post-operative recovery and long-term care.

The care and dedication to my mother and how I observe it to others is outstanding. The way the staff bring comfort and smiles to the residents who suffer confusion from the perils of dementia are of great value to the service given in your care home. The bedrooms, bathrooms and corridors are always kept very tidy, constantly being cleaned to maintain the high standards of hygiene and overall look of your care home.

I was delighted with my respite stay at Alder Court. The staff were absolutely brilliant. They were friendly and made me feel at home immediately. They took care of all my needs and were a joy to be around. The food was excellent and I would totally recommend them to anyone needing their care.

Mum has enjoyed her respite and I too have gone away and had my break knowing full well that she is as loved and cared for here as at home. It's a 5 stars from me.

I am the husband of the resident who has been living in the Alder Care Home since the spring of last year. Having visited many care establishments and used respite in a number of them, coming to Alder has proved to be an excellent choice. The home has become very far above our expectations and has become our family. My wife enjoys being here, the facilities are excellent, and the staff are extremely caring and competent. The accommodation is excellent and always very clean. She enjoys the myriad of activities.

I was so worried and anxious about mum moving into a care home for long term care. I needn't of been. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Mum's room and communal areas are immaculate. All the staff at Alder House are so kind, compassionate and genuinely care. The activities team are great with involving residents in the daily activities. All staff are so approachable. In my experience, Alder House Care Home is first class and I am so relieved we have found this wonderful home for my mum.
