My mum enjoyed her stay at Acer Court. This was her 3rd stay here. She's very well looked after, good food, entertainment, activities and the staff are lovely. The residence is clean, smells nice and welcoming.

Nice, friendly and welcoming environment. Office staff always on hand to help. I also find all the care assistants are kind and considerate and helpful to both residents and family and friends visiting.
Care home does provide events and activities for residents which is very good.

When mum came for respite in January, things were sorted very quickly and efficiently, as soon as we (me and her sister) arrived with our mum.
Mum hasn't got into the routine of stockings on shower, etc., in the morning. Mum has now returned after a fall, so hopefully this will become more routine.
Appreciate mornings are extremely busy.

My friend stayed at Acer Court Nursing Home for six weeks following an operation and had a very positive experience. From the start, the staff were welcoming, friendly and always willing to help, which made the recovery period much easier and more comfortable.
The home itself was clean, calm and well-maintained,
creating a pleasant and reassuring environment. It was clear that care and attention are given not only to short-term residents but also to those staying long term, with a strong sense of dignity, routine and community throughout the home.
Communication was clear and reassuring, helping family and friends feel confident and at ease. We are especially grateful to Gemma (manager) and Michelle for their kindness, support, and professionalism, which made a real difference during my friend's stay.
Overall, a great deal of thought goes into making everyone feel settled and supported. We would happily recommend this nursing home for both post-operative recovery and long-term care.

The care and dedication to my mother and how I observe it to others is outstanding. The way the staff bring comfort and smiles to the residents who suffer confusion from the perils of dementia are of great value to the service given in your care home. The bedrooms, bathrooms and corridors are always
kept very tidy, constantly being cleaned to maintain the high standards of hygiene and overall look of your care home.

I was delighted with my respite stay at Alder Court. The staff were absolutely brilliant. They were friendly and made me feel at home immediately. They took care of all my needs and were a joy to be around. The food was excellent and I would totally recommend them to anyone needing their care.

I've been a carer for 15 years. Never having had a break my daughter convinced me to take some respite. I was unsure, out of my comfort zone but so in need of some 'me' time. I booked a week for my Mum. I had my break and picked her up. I was relaxed. I'd rang her every day knowing she was fine and
happy. On pick up day my Mum was smiling, still chatting to everyone. Residents and staff. She refused to leave until she had hugged and kissed everyone. They all loved her and she loved them. She fitted in and felt at home despite only staying the week.
Since then Mum has stayed quite a few times over the last ten months. However, the difference now is that as soon as she gets out
the car someone is hugging her and greeting her with love and happiness to see her. Residents and staff are all genuine and are a family united. Mum has enjoyed her respite and I too have gone away and had my break knowing full well that she is as loved and cared for here as at home. It's a 5 stars from me.

I am the husband of the resident who has been living in the Alder Care Home since the spring of last year. Having visited many care establishments and used respite in a number of them, coming to Alder has proved to be an excellent choice. The home has become very far above our expectations and has become
our family. My wife enjoys being here, the facilities are excellent, and the staff are extremely caring and competent. The accommodation is excellent and always very clean. She enjoys the myriad of activities.

I was so worried and anxious about mum moving into a care home for long term care. I needn't of been. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Mum's room and communal areas are immaculate. All the staff at Alder House are so kind, compassionate and genuinely care. The activities team are great with involving
residents in the daily activities. All staff are so approachable. In my experience, Alder House Care Home is first class and I am so relieved we have found this wonderful home for my mum.

My wife has been a resident at the home for the last ten months. Staff have been very caring and look after her extremely well; they have tremendous patience. I am very grateful for the way they look after her. The manager has been very supportive of me at a low point in my life.

Mum was with Alder House for 7 weeks and received first class care, 100% of the time. the management team, carers, carers assistance gave mum amazing attention & were extremely thoughtful to her needs, both medically & emotionally. The care home is run in an extremely professional manner & my sister
and I were provided with fantastic support by everyone connected with mums well being.

The staff are extremely friendly and caring. Dad seems to have settled in well, because of his dementia is unable to tell me what he has done during the day. Social media helps me see all the events that take place, and I love seeing pictures of my dad getting involved. It would be good to have a book
or board in dads' room too, so I can write a note for carers to see or act on my concerns. In turn, carers could put notes in about my dad if they have any concerns. There are many people taking care of my dad, so sometimes if I tell one person about a concern, it may not be acted on. Couldn't have picked a better home for my dad.

We joined our mum for the big lunch event at Acer Court on 24/6/25. As the weather was perfect it was held outside in their beautiful courtyard/garden. There was a fabulous spread/buffet. The staff were so helpful and attentive and friendly. They made a fuss of all the residents and their families.
A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all. Thank you.

I cannot speak highly enough of Acer Court. I have rated Excellent in all categories and some areas deserve a big plus too! Thank you, my mum has had a new lease of life since she came to Acer in March. We now see our 'old' mum back, with her wit & great sense of humour. She really loves being at Acer
and we have peace of mind knowing she is getting the best possible support and care.

Mum came to Acer Court intitally for a week of respite are in March 2025. The family decided that she would be safer and more contented if she stayed permanently, a decision made easier by the lovely, caring staff from management to cleaning staff who have made mum feel so welcome and have encouraged
her to partake in all the many activities on offer. Mum is well cared for and contented. Thank you all so much for all you do for her!
