My parents moved into Greensands House Care Home in November, and the compassion and care we have all received has made our parents' transition into residential care so much easier. This was a new experience for me and my brother and we were supported by the Greensands team with kindness and understanding.
Our parents are now settled and happy, we haven't seen them looking so well cared for, for a long time. They are being gently encouraged to participate in the activities and life has started to be enjoyable for them again.
Visitors are warmly welcomed and Greensands has a real 'family' feel about it. We can't thank them enough.
Reply from Shannon Mapp, Customer Service Manager at Greensand House Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you for your beautiful feedback. It means so much to us all seeing how well and happy they are both are.

The experience starts when you walk through the door and get a warm friendly greeting at reception. First impressions as you look around you see carers assisting the residents in a warm friendly manner, also interacting with them. I find all members of staff very helpful. My step father is very happy
in his surroundings and interacts with other residents, this reassures me and my family that he is in good hands.

Mum moved into Bagshot Gardens only 3 weeks ago and we have been delighted with the care that she has received. All the staff are friendly, caring, kind and helpful and mum has been well supported as she settles in. We were dreading this moment, having taken the reluctant decision to move mum into a
care home, but we feel so relieved knowing that she is now safe, well fed and very comfortable with constant supervision both day and night. The food is excellent, the home always clean and tidy with a range of daily activities on offer. Mum has already enjoyed 2 outings in the minibus and today we left her listening to Christmas carols on the piano just as the brass band arrived to play even more. It's a wonderful place for mum to spend another phase of her life at the tender age of 102. I can't recommend it enough.
Reply from Sue Ruff, Client Liaison Manager at Bagshot Gardens Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you for the 5 *review - it is lovely to hear such positive feedback. We were so relieved to be able to bring out relative into the home. She is warm, safe, relaxed & well cared for. My mum came to Silvermere for respite care and from the first enquiry we made until the day she went back home, the service from everyone at Silvermere has been fantastic. We couldn't have picked a better place to look after mum. The staff, to a person, are amazing. They made mum feel welcome and helped
get her through what was a stressful time. The home is clean and tidy, the food looks and smells great (and mum said it tasted good too) and there was a wide variety of entertainment on offer.

Should we ever require care again, be it respite or something more permanent, I wouldn't hesitate to choose Silvermere.

Reply from Will Hammond, Customer Liaison Manager at Silvermere Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you so much for sharing this thoughtful review. I'm delighted to hear that from your first enquiry through to Mum's return home, you felt fully supported - and I'll be sure to pass your kind words to our care, hospitality, and activities teams who helped make her stay welcoming during a stressful time.

It's wonderful that Mum enjoyed the food and found plenty of entertainment to keep her engaged, and that the home felt clean and tidy throughout. Knowing you "wouldn't hesitate" to choose Silvermere again means a great deal to us.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Rosebery Manor looks after a wide span of residents and every one of them is well cared for and treated as an individual. The majority of care staff are on first name terms with all the residents and the building is attractive, well decorated and kept spotlessly clean.

Hot and cold drinks and nibbles

are always available in the reception area for residents and visitors.

When things do go wrong the staff are good at getting them fixed.

There are a range of activities available throughout the week for those that are interested/able and the team make every effort to encourage attendance.

Costs are very high, but they seem to be similar everywhere we looked.

If you are looking for a care home or "assisted living" Rosebery Manor should be on your list to check out.

My sister and I have been very impressed with the care that our father is receiving at Rosebery. He was a reluctant 'inmate' (his word) and they have worked hard to help him settle in. He has been a resident for nearly 3 years and is thriving there. They have taken time to get to know him and let him
live there the way that he wants.

Esher Manor Care Home - Avery Collection

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My sister went into Esher Manor for one week's respite. It had been particularly difficult to persuade her to take this much-needed break from caring for her 104-year-old mother and the manager was endlessly patient while we made this difficult decision. Once there, I believe that my sister adapted
quite quickly with the attention of the extremely gentle and caring nursing staff. She enjoyed the welcoming and peaceful atmosphere and spoke highly of the food. She enjoyed walking around the lovely garden. She didn't take part in the activities, being a rather solitary person. When she came home she seemed much rested and looked much better, just a pity that she wouldn't stay a bit longer. From an outsider's perspective, this is the nicest care home that I have viewed or visited.

The staff are absolutely incredible - consistently professional, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile. They make my mum feel truly welcome and supported, which means so much to us as a

The food is amazing and very varied, with great attention to quality and choice. There is also a wonderful cross-section of activities available, ensuring there is always something engaging and enjoyable for the residents.

I made an enquiry for my very dear friend for some respite care. James was so accommodating and amazing and sorted out a wonderful room for Iris and has looked after her and made her feel so welcome. The staff have been so lovely, kind and looked after her as she is quite shy and when I visited last
week she was in the lounge plying carpet bowls! She has loved her time so much that she ow does not want to go home and stay where she is! I could not recommend Avery Virginia Water any higher and if you are thinking about a care home this is exceptional. The food is outstanding, the staff wonderful, the activities so well organised and nothing is too much. Thank you so very much for changing my friend's life so much - I have not seen her this happy for such a long time.

My Mother has recently moved into Esher Manor. We couldn't be happier with the care and compassion the staff have shown to her. They have been welcoming, reassuring and incredibly professional. They have taken the time to get to know her and what she likes and dislikes.

The atmosphere is calm, friendly

and uplifting, and there is always something going on, whether it's music, crafts, word games, or just having company while watching a film. The home itself is bright, clean and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that make it feel homely rather than clinical.

I've experienced a genuine warmth from the team. Communication with families is excellent too; I feel well informed and involved.

Seeing my Mother settled, content and making friends, I am extremely grateful to everyone at Esher Manor for the outstanding care and kindness provided.

Esher Manor Care Home - Avery Collection

I chose Esher Manor for my 84-year-old sister last year who has mild dementia and was recently widowed. My wife and I used two comparative websites and drew up a short list of twelve care homes in the Surrey area. We then visited six of them. Esher Manor was by far and away the most welcoming and some
were awful!
Over the last 15 months, we have had no reason to regret our decision. My sister is happy, well-card for, has put on weight and seems to be enjoying activities - although this last is hard to track as she can't always remember what she has done.
Esher Manor is certainly not cheap but, in my view, if you have the money, it is better than letting any government have it!

I visit my friend at least 2-3 times a week. There is always someone on hand if I need to speak to them about anything regarding my friend. Very friendly staff and very accommodating to my friend's needs. Greensand Care Home is a beautiful place to live in and is kept to a high standard. Food is also
amazing.
The residents are encouraged to join in with the fabulous events the staff put on and is made fun for everyone.
I am very happy that the management situation is being sorted out.

Staffing levels are insufficient leading to too long waiting times when requesting assistance. Staff needs to be taught how to handle unfamiliar situations. Staff, seek advice (carer caused me unnecessary pain and distress trying to remove a catheter by sloppily pulling it out. I could have explained
her the correct procedure if she had talked to me).
The apartment and communal facilities are spacious pleasantly decorated and well maintained. Possible useful addition would be 2-3 basic bikes, a jacuzzi, an indoor pool and a sauna.
