Since my father moved in he has not only started to eat properly but has been getting regular exercise. The activities that are put on by the home do encourage the residents to take part along with visiting family/friends. I personally have attended two functions, exercise class and also had the most wonderful lunch in a lovely setting.

My wife has been in Middleton Lodge since Jan 2024 and in that time she has had the best care I could have hoped for. The management and staff have always been very approachable, kind and helpful. I think it would be difficult to find a better run care home

With a little bit of other care homes, overall on a par. Maybe too much leaving wheel chair personel can be brought to a lounge and left

My husband has been at Middleton Lodge since the beginning of 2024. He has ups and down Health wise. But the care he has been given. is outstanding he has Vascular Dementia which is heart breaking. But Middleton lodge has been with me + my husband all the way. Today 20/9/26 i can say my husband is quite well physically. This has been due to the dedication of all at Middleton Lodge. Thankyou

This is my third visit here and I love it! No better place be looked after

I was nursed back to health after 'femur break' at 91 years. The home is beautiful, everyone so kind + caring, the entertainment a good 'pick me up', the food needs to improve a little, and given far too much after asking 'small'. I have made some amazing friends - who I shall miss. If I need to look for care again, I will definitely be ringing for my room back! Big 'Thank You' to everyone.

Very clean home staff very nice completely trust, looking after my mother, it a lovely home.

Mum has since settled extremely well, straight from day 1!! The staff have been brilliant - Mum's often said 'they're so nice to me here'. She gets involved in the activities. And, having eaten poorly for years, she's now eating well and putting on weight. Derby Heights have been brilliant! Thank you.

My daughter who is a paramedic recommended this care home for her nanny who we were transferring from Plymouth. From the moment a walked into the establishment and spoke to the staff I knew it was the place to bring my mother in lae to. 10 months later my wifes and my decision has never once fallered. From the management the receptionists, the carers, the chef producing first class meals, the housekeeping. My mother in law is safe and secure and happy she now calls the care home 'Home'. Care homes are not just about tuildings, its about the staff. WELL DONE everyone AND THANKY YOU FOR LOOKING AFTER MY MAMA

I came to Middleton Lodge for respite after a fall. I was so impressed by everything - such wonderful people - that I decided to stay permanently! I cannot thank the management and staff enough for their care and kindness. - A big THANK YOU!

The staff were amazing! Caring, kind, welcoming and professional. My friend was looked after at Middleton Lodge as he had dementia and couldn't manage at home. The care he was given was excellent. Things in his room were labelled for easy access, activities put on to entertain, exercise the mind and make friendships and his room was calm and peaceful for when he needed to rest. The ensuite, big double bed, drawer units, wardrobes and drinks whenever he wanted them, made it his home from home. Every time we visited we were greeted by staff by our names and given a warm welcome and refreshments. My friend was quite frail and confused at times but the staff provided excellent medical attention and adapted to his changing mobility. I am very grateful for all that the staff at Middleton Lodge did for my friend and the organisation and senior staff should be commended for making this care home a place of excellence.

My mum came into the home after a fall and hospital stay. We have been so impressed by the care and support given to my mom. It is reassurig for the family that she is being so well looked after.

After a fall at home living independently, Dad decided he wanted to be looked after. We chose Middleton Lodge as it is clean, the staff are friendly, and the facilities are good. After living here for 2 weeks dad has some days when he is happy, and other days struggling to adjust. The staff are patient and kind, his needs are met, and his dignity is respected. We enjoy visiting and enjoy the coffee.

Having just had hip replacement surgery, I was feeling anxious and vulnerable when I arrived. I was made very welcome and quickly felt safe and cared for. The fortnight that I stayed there has been a lovely experience. The staff have been so caring and competent, nothing has been too much trouble. I have been encouraged and supported in my progress. My room is spacious, pleasant and very clean and comfortable. It has all the facilities I could want, even a smart TV! I'm going home tomorrow and feel ready but I will miss everyone here.

It was a tough decision to put my mother into residential care. But I'm glad for her sake I did. When my dad passed away mum was lonely but at Middleton Lodge she wants for nothing. Great food, company and stimulation.The activities are amazing but especially loves anything that she can dance and sing to. Keep up the good work.

My mother was admitted for one weeks respite. One of the reasons we came to Middleton Lodge is because my mother is treated so well by the all staff.The whole experience has been excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend Middleton Lodge to anyone. The manager is approachable, warm, sensitive and incredibly supportive.

My wife passed away at the Middleton Lodge on Friday, 13th March 2026. She could not have had more care and sympathetic attention anywhere else in the world. All of the staff and medical team were exemplary.

Most of all the staff are kind, caring and compassionate. From the moment my gran arrived everyone was expecting her, they knew her name and made her feel welcome and safe. On every single visit it was evident she was being cared for to the highest standard and the staff couldn't do enough for everyone. For me, it was those snippets of interactions between staff and residents you would overhear-calm, respectful and genuinely caring. You leave your visit confident that your loved one is in the best place they could be.
