Angie and Karen at reception are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble for them. They are lovely and always with a smile.

I commend the outstanding care and support which the members of staff at the Brentwood Arches have given to my father and mother. It became most evident to me that this care and support comes from deep within the hearts of the members of staff, and is driven by love. With respect to their work, I have seen the best in people. I wish to express my profound gratitude to the carers, the nurses, the care supervisors, restaurant staff, receptionists, activities team, the cleaners, the laundry and maintenance teams, and the managers. It is through their strong commitment to the health, well-being and happiness of the residents that they provide a home from home for all of them.

All the members of staff are friendly & helpful and treat my mother in law with respect. She is beginning to settle in really well. Her only comment to me is that she would like more veg, in particular greens or green veg (not just peas), or more salad rather than a garnish. There are plenty of activities every day for the residents & plenty of tea/coffee, snacks etc for them and their visitors. She has a lovely room, laundry service is great and everywhere appears clean. Outside space both on ground floor & second floor is a bonus & both areas looked after.

My father became a resident in December 2025. From the initial walk around and meeting the staff I could tell straight away that Dad was in the right place. The facilities within the home are fantastic, staff treat all their residents with empathy & dignity and nothing is ever too much trouble. I can relax knowing Dad is being looked after and getting care around the clock. Glad to say Dad has settled in well and thats thanks to all the staff within the home making him feel welcome!

A great experience - kind & comprehensive

I found a relaxed atmosphere with friendly and efficient staff. My friend had settled after a few weeks having been very confused to start with. She is settled in a spacious room and appreciating the care she is receiving. She is enjoying meals which are nicely served. I found the overall atmosphere comfortable and friendly - each resident appeared to be treated with respect. Overall a welcoming place to live.

I chose this home because it offered an apartment rather than a 'room', It also was being offered at a fair price compared to other home in the area. - Offered a care parking space. A friendly, helpful reception. My choice of bedroom, lounge decor, an apartment overlooking the garden on the fourth floor. Although I didn't need carer help they always offered me hot drinks, 3 hot meals a day in waiter run restaurants, bed changed once a week laundry taken once a week and returned the same day. Activities everyday and live entertainment -3-4 days a week. G.P twice a week.

Our close friend has been in the Arches now for just over a month and she loved it there. She actually calls it her 5 star hotel as she feels the service, care, food and activities are excellent. She really has settled in far better than she and we expected.

We looked at 8 care homes around the Essex area and decided this one was most suitable and we were spot on. The staff there from cleaning, to nurses to general carers are first class, always on hand and happy to chat to the residents and families. We visit our friend 3/4 times a week and she is always praising the care she gets.

She is disabled from the waist down and the arches have found all the correct equipment she needs to enjoy the home's activities, even today she commented "I'm so happy here, everyone is wonderful"

The Arches is definitely the best care home we've come across. Our sincere thanks to everyone working there

However she is constantly frustrated that the TV in her room regularly suffers loss of internet connection.The problem has persisted for several weeks and she despairs of it ever being resolved. This may appear to be a small problem but to her the TV is her only source of entertainment as she feels she is too old to take part in any of the other entertainment facilities on offer. Hopefully a booster will be installed soon.

Most importantly, Mum had a fantastic time during her stay. She felt comfortable, well looked after, and genuinely enjoyed her experience, which gave us real peace of mind. The care and attention she received made a big difference, and we're very grateful for the support provided throughout.

My mum has been at Braintree Mews since November 2024 and settled in quickly. The staff are always friendly and welcoming each time I visit. They are also good with the residents, friendly and considerate to their needs from what I have witnessed. The home always looks clean and there are lots of activities available to residents. I am very pleased that my mum is happy and well looked after at Braintree Mews.

I have seen Mum smile consistently every day since she came in lait August - something that hadn't happened for about 2 years, so thank you so much.

Any concerns have been dealt with professionally and Dad is always happy, with tells us things are good!

sorry for the delay but can i please passs on my thanks and the family too for a fantastic experience in looking after our mother for a short time she came to you from Queens which you agreed to accept and have to say the whole experience was heart warming and exceptional from Angie and Karen on reception and Cloe the carer you all cared and made the difference the nurses and doctor all cared and made us all as a family comfortable you are all fantastic and should be proud of what you do every day bless you all James

Sadly Mum did not have a very nice experience here. The home itself looked amazing as it was brand new, sadly everything else was a disappointment. Constant chasing for things to be done, and promises never met. I appreciate I cannot go into the finer details on here, but would recommend you think seriously about making this your loved one's new home.

Particularly good management with managers available for discussions & ensure have contact with residents & staff - helping in kitchen and always, ready to chat to a resident in the corridor, despite no doubt being immersed in admin duties. Responsive to residents' family concerns/suggestions at family meetings. Housekeeping ensures rooms & communal areas smell fresh and are clean & tidy.

The care mum has received has been exemplary. During her recent recovery from illness the team have gone over and beyond expectation to help her recovery.

My mother was admitted to Braintree Mews for emergency respite. The staff could not have been kinder or more understanding to our family and my mother. She returned for further respite and we now hope she will become a resident. Braintree Mews is the closest to 'home' a care home can be.
