Brentwood Arches Care Home - Avery Collection

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
We recently visited many care homes in the area to decide where best to place a very dear and close relative of ours. When we visited the Arches we were showed around by Kayley who was so friendly, caring and informative, Kayley answered all our questions and gave us the confidence that the arches were
the best choice for us. With Kayley's help our relative is scheduled to go to the home next week.

Once she is settled in I will review again but wanted to thank Kayley for all her help and professional assistance

Reply from kayley sparrow, client liaison manager at Brentwood Arches Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you so much for your lovely review and kind words. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family and to support you during such an important decision.
I'm delighted that I was able to provide reassurance and help make the process easier for you.

We are so pleased that your dear friend has now settled into The Arches, and the team will continue to do everything we can to ensure they feel happy and comfortable.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience - it truly means a lot.

Kind regards,
Kayley

Overall, it was a truly positive experience. The transfer from the hospital did present some logistical challenges, which made the process feel a little stressful at times, but I understand that this is often unavoidable and likely similar wherever you go. Despite this, everything was handled as smoothly
as possible under the circumstances.
Most importantly, Mum had a fantastic time during her stay. She felt comfortable, well looked after, and genuinely enjoyed her experience, which gave us real peace of mind. The care and attention she received made a big difference, and we're very grateful for the support provided throughout.

We appreciate your understanding regarding the logistical challenges during the transfer from the hospital. While these situations can sometimes be complex, we're glad to hear that you felt everything was handled as smoothly as possible under the circumstances.
Your kind words about the care and attention your mum received are greatly appreciated. We're grateful for the opportunity to support your family, and we hope to welcome you and your mum again in the future.

My mum has been at Braintree Mews since November 2024 and settled in quickly. The staff are always friendly and welcoming each time I visit. They are also good with the residents, friendly and considerate to their needs from what I have witnessed. The home always looks clean and there are lots of activities
available to residents. I am very pleased that my mum is happy and well looked after at Braintree Mews.

Braintree Mews remains the best Care Home that I have ever seen! I looked at over 40 Care Homes when deciding to bring Mum in. Our whole experience has been very positive.
Wonderful enviroment, fantastic service and great staff! Activities Co-ordinators always finding creative ways to entertain the
residents.
I have seen Mum smile consistently every day since she came in lait August - something that hadn't happened for about 2 years, so thank you so much.

Sadly Mum did not have a very nice experience here. The home itself looked amazing as it was brand new, sadly everything else was a disappointment. Constant chasing for things to be done, and promises never met. I appreciate I cannot go into the finer details on here, but would recommend you think seriously
about making this your loved one's new home.

Well designed & modern with many small areas for residents & visitors to sit and read/talk/socialise as you would at home. Good sized rooms, all ensuite and carpeted. All staff very polite & dedicated to helping residents.
Particularly good management with managers available for discussions & ensure
have contact with residents & staff - helping in kitchen and always, ready to chat to a resident in the corridor, despite no doubt being immersed in admin duties. Responsive to residents' family concerns/suggestions at family meetings. Housekeeping ensures rooms & communal areas smell fresh and are clean & tidy.

My mother was admitted to Braintree Mews for emergency respite. The staff could not have been kinder or more understanding to our family and my mother. She returned for further respite and we now hope she will become a resident. Braintree Mews is the closest to 'home' a care home can be.

I stayed at the at Brentwood Arches Care Home in January 2025 for two weeks on respite and my experience was amazing from start to finish. The care was absolutely outstanding and the commitment of the staff was a joy to see and be around. There was always something going on and the sound of joy and
laughter was never far away especially when the entertainment team were onsite. Food was great and even family members who visited were welcomed with drinks and snacks. I would highly recommend and stay here again.

After our mum, who was our dad's carer, passed away in October, my brother and I had to make the difficult decision to place our dad into a care home. We visited several care homes in the area. Braintree Mews was, by far, the best, looking more like a beautiful hotel than a care home.
Our dad has
settled in so much better than we could ever have expected and that is down to the staff and environment at Braintree Mews.
The staff at Braintree Mews are fantastic and have gone above and beyond for our family. Their knowledge surrounding Alzheimer's is outstanding and we feel at ease leaving our dad in their more capable hands.
There are daily activities which change each week, from in-house games/quizzes to outside companies coming in to entertain the residents. The activities allow interactions with other residents and staff. Family members are always welcome and encouraged to get involved if they can.
The food is delicious and varied.
Reply from Scott Reece, Customer Service Manager at Braintree Mews Care Home - Avery CollectionGood morning and Happy New Year! The days around Dad's admission must have been very difficult for the whole family and I am so proud that the whole team were able to support and put minds at ease.
