We are eternally grateful for staff facilitating immediate re-admission from hospital when it was clear he was approaching the end. An outstanding level of dignity was shown to him in those last few days, and they enabled me to stay by his side 24/7 for a week, ensuring I had food and offering a spare room. I would like to extend particular thanks to Taylor, and to Vicky, whose remarkable compassion made such a difference, including after Grandad had passed. Thank you all!

The staff are caring, friendly and the atmosphere is calm, peaceful and as a family it has put our minds at rest that Mum is being so well looked after. That means so much to us. Thank you.

The house manager is brilliant & has helped us such alot in many ways. Admin also help us quite alot (ordering taxis etc).

All the staff have been wonderful from day one of my mothers arrival, room always neat & tidy, very happy with everything.

Very attentive staff, friendly, go out of their way to make a safe environment for my husband - food is wonderful - nutritionally - clean room and towels - they continually do upgrades to ensure updated equipment is used. My husband doesn't really care to participate in activities - but to see other residents enjoying them - ice cream served during the really hot period - family atmosphere with staff, residents and their families - my husband is well looked after

Lovely place, and lovely surroundings for mum. Although she is still in a grieving state and generally finding life hard at the moment I do absolutely think she is in the best place she could be. The staff that look after her (memory floor) are always very attentive and good with her.

Stayed here for 2 weeks for respite and found every thing excellent staff were very friendly and professional. The home was very clean and felt more like a Hotel with carers than a care home and went home feeling a lot better than when I arrived.

My wife has been in West Wood since mid june and I have visited her every day. I have been most impressed with the home and its facilities. The staff have been so friendly and helpful both to my wife and myself during the critical emotional settling-down period and we are so grateful. In particular, I am impressed with how the staff work as a team, each member able to cover different roles. We feel very welcome, thank you.

My family's experience of Carrstone has been entirely positive, we are always welcomed warmly when we visit and the care and professionalism of the staff are evident everywhere

Since mum has moved into Carrstone House, as a family we have found Charmaine and the rest of the team to be very kind, caring and respectful. Every effort is made to celebrate special occasions and family/friends are encouraged to join in too. The home itself is very welcoming, from Maddie on reception through to housekeeping, Angie in the office to the lovely carers. There is a definite feeling of being 'at home' and mum appears relaxed and settled, much more so than in previous homes. Thank you Carrstone House.

Mum was here for 3 weeks respite. The weekly cost was very expensive. Unfortunately mums meals which were delivered to her room were not served politely or put down gently on her tray, she found this a bit upsetting on several occasions she found that the toilet was not cleaned after her previous visit & she herself had mentioned this to the carers. It is like home from home for my father, who has settled in after an initial difficult transition, thanks to the staff that reassured us as a familly and for him to make him feel welcome and valued. The staff trhoughout his care have been kind, helpful and supportive from the caring staff catering staff and management team. They have all had time to help and disscuss his needs and any concerns we had. All have been patient and tolerant.

My husband was admitted in January 26, very agitated + unwell, to date with the staff he is now very settled. I have to say all staff have been involved to make this possible and also to support myself and concerns - I would recommend this care home.

My wife, Julia, has been in West Wood Care Home for 14 months. She has dementia and is barely able to walk, so has to be taken around by wheelchair. She is very happy, has a lovely room, enjoys the food and eats nearly all of every meal. There are regular activities and entertainment and she loves the visiting singers and musicians. All the carers that have been involved with Julia have been wonderful and it is a great peace of mind to me and our family to know she is being well looked after. I visit Julia every day so I also am up to speed with what is happening. Once a month a give an illustrated talk to the residents on wildlife - just pleased to do my bit. Richard Porter.

It was a huge decision to move my mum to Carrstone House (CC). I visited unannounced and they showed me round. I loved it instantly and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I explained what my mother's needs were and they said that they could help with every aspect and work with me to produce a care plan which could be added to in the future.My mum's first words were 'wow' when I took her there. She is happy and has settled in well. Thank you once again . I know my mum is safe and well cared for.

Absolutely faultless. From the moment you are greeted at reception to the minute you leave. Everyone at Carrstone House is very kind and helpful from the cleaners, reception to the carers and seniors. We hve nothing to complain about at all and often recommend Carrstone to our friends who have frail relatives.

I cannot praise West Wood highly enough. Everyone was friendly, kind, caring, instinctively creating a warm family atmosphere. Reception/Office staff were always welcoming, thoughtful & available. Food, cleanliness and maintenance were provided to an exceptionally high standard by cheerful yet sympathetic people. The Care & Activities staff were faultless, always gentle, willing, helpful & compassionate, treating my Aunt as an individual, learning her personality & interests. Every personal & medical need was met with humanity yet professionally. Their quiet care was outstanding & particularly poignant as she declined. Knowing she was in safe hands was such a relief. I also felt deeply supported & cared for especially in her final days when the compassion & understanding were overwhelming. I will never forget the dignity & respect shown to Aunty at the end and on leaving West Wood. Thank you isn't enough.

I cannot praise this home highly enough. It really is home. Immaculately clean and airy. The meals and meal choices are excellent. The care and communication is very good with balance between efficiency and being friendly and supportive. Sadly it was end of life care for my Aunty and the support and sensitivity was moving. Quietly efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much everyone. I really am struggling to put my appreciation into words. My darling Aunt was cared for by angels. I feel you are now friends.

Very friendly, helpful and look after my Great Aunt really well. Also make me feel welcome when I visit, they encourage her to get involved which hates and she has now decided she would like to stay, highly recommend this care home.
