Care Homes Owned by Avery Healthcare Group in Cambridgeshire

My mother-in-law never made it to the home but we were preparing to send her there. The people couldn't have been more helpful. Answered all my queries, a show around. I knew a resident there who praised it highly. We had a date set for her to move but unfortunately she passed two days earlier. The home were sympathetic and send a lovely email. My friends and I used to meet the other resident weekly for a game of cards in one of their rooms and when he passed they offered us the opportunity to continue playing cards there. I fully recommend this home from the experience I had.

Mum came for a last minute respite stay following a hospital admission. She was very anxious and was way out of her comfort zone. All the staff made her feel welcome from the minute she stepped into the building, giving her exceptional care during her stay. We can only say thank you to every one.

Mum very unhappy to have to leave her own home but within a couple of days had settled down at Waterhouse Manor. At the end of her stay she did say she was sad to be leaving! Friendly staff...especially Maisie.

Dad was very reluctant to go in a carehome and kept packing his suitcase to return home! Very distressing. Now a few months down the line he is settled and I wouldn't want him in any other carehome. Waterhouse Manor meet his every need and he is safe, secure & well fed with glorious food!

It is a brand new home and the staff try hard to keep it looking good. Warm atmosphere when arriving. Encouraging to see a mix of younger and more mature staff. Male and female. There has been a number of staff come and go but probably normal within the care industry. Chefs do a good job within budget constraints, however visiting on a regular basis, the menus appear to be quite repetitive. Home appears to spend quite a high budget on decorations for events, which appears to me to be a little over the top. Overall, a happy environment which is positive.

After going through the transition of mum moving in November 2025 it was perhaps one of the best decisions I have made

Like anyone placing a parent into care, this was an emotional first for our family. Mum, Jeannette, moved to Saxon Manor in July 2025, and nearly nine months on, the difference in her is incredible.

Before the move, and with her Alzheimer's, she had become very withdrawn-no longer socialising, anxious, lonely, and not eating or sleeping well. It was heartbreaking to witness. Reaching the point where she accepted support wasn't easy, but it was the right decision.

Now, we're seeing more of the "old" Jeannette again-happy, chatty, funny, and full of life. She's eating well, sleeping better, and no longer anxious or afraid. Knowing she is safe, cared for, and genuinely happy means everything to us.

All the staff at Saxon Manor are truly outstanding-kind, caring, and dedicated. You are not just carers, you are now my Mum's friends, and we are so grateful to every one of you!

My sister and I find Saxon Manor a wonderful home for our dear mum. The staff are all wonderful and very kind and very caring. The home is beautifully designed and the decoration is wonderful too! The food is quite nice! The reception lounge is lovely with a nice coffee machine for family visitors to use! It is very reassuring after visiting mum she is in safe hands and well cared for! The facilities are very nice. The main positive is the kindness and dedication of staff who have some difficult residents to manage and care for. The whole home is well managed and the integral teams work together to provide a supportive and pleasant environment.

Since entering the building we have been treated with respect, understanding and consideration for our dilemma - i.e., my husband's recent diagnosis of dementia. From the first contact - a 'showcase' of the building, followed by an assessment of the local hospital, to my husband's reception in late January and subsequent care and nurture - both medical and social - I have been reassured that he is in safe and capable hands. The whole staff have been - and continue to be - welcoming and obliging. Thank you - we hope our 'relationship' may continue.

I have have had not one Loved One, but two LO's residing in Saxon Manor, a decision that wasn't taken lightly. After a 4 week respite stay, my first LO decided to remain as a permanent resident as they felt safe, well cared for, complex medication was administered appropriately, and the food was so good. They remain feeling safe, well looked after and content having made their own decision to remain over 14 months on. 4 months on we moved a second LO from a care home that was substantially more expensive as we had concerns about the level of care and frequency to be able to visit due to distance. What a difference ALL the staff, including Joe, Charlie, Sophia & Megan had made to the transition, overall contentment and care of LO no. 2.. LO no. 2 settled well, felt safe and happy. Sadly, they were only at Saxon Manor for 3 months prior to their Alzheimer's progressing. Their end of life care was approached with compassion and with an urgency to make as comfortable as possible.

I honestly can't thank the team at Saxon Manor Care Home enough for the care they give my nan.

She has been living there since January 2024, and the change in her has been incredible. She has genuinely never been happier or healthier. As a family, placing a loved one into a care home is never an easy decision, but from the moment she moved in we knew she was somewhere special.

The care, kindness and respect the staff show every single day is outstanding. They don't just look after residents - they truly care about them as people. My nan is treated with so much warmth and dignity, and it means the world to us knowing she is safe, supported and happy.

In my own job I visit elderly people in their homes, and when the subject of care homes comes up I often find myself mentioning Saxon Manor because of the experience we've had. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

We couldn't ask for a better place for our nan to spend this stage of her life. She's absolutely living her best life there

I stayed at Waterhouse Manor for 3 weeks of respite care. My whole experience was very pleasant. I was warmly welcomed by all the staff. I had a lovely, comfortable room. The food was delicious, and I found the whole experience restful and comforting. If I found myself in the situation of needing full-time care, then this would be my choice without a doubt. The facilities exceed other care homes I have visited to see friends in the area.

I had a week's respite care at Waterhouse Manor after a hip operation. I was so impressed with every aspect of my care. The staff, the beautiful bedrooms, the dining rooms, and the quality of the food were all outstanding. It felt more like a hotel than a care home, and if I ever need full-time care, this would be my choice. The ambience of the home and its staff, do all they can to make the residents feel secure and happy.

Mum was made most welcome into Waterhouse Manor Care Home. There were some normal minor glitches when mum moved in as everyone was getting used to her and she was settling in. All our concerns were heard and acted upon in a timely manor. Mum has now settled in well and enjoys partaking in lots of activities.

My mother went into Waterhouse Manor Care Home over a year ago. Before she entered she never spoke much and did not want to go out and about. A year later she is involved in every activity going. She loves living there and has made many friends. Due to her dementia she does not talk a lot. But the difference I have seen in her is amazing. She is the first to get involved in any activities going. She always tells me she loves living there. It is so nice to see my mum content and happy. The staff are amazing and always make us feel welcome. Going to visit mum is enjoyable. They have made us all feel very welcome as a family.

My mum has been at Saxon Manor since 2024 and she has been very comfortable & well looked after. Staff are professional and compassionate to residents and they have been very supportive to us as a family and explaining things in regards to mums care. Staff have become our friends and we appreciate them.

The staff at Saxon Manor are amazing with my Mother in Law even with her quirky habits! I cannot praise them enough for all the love and care they take with her. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of a care home for a family member.

My 90-year-old mother has been a resident at this care home for over a year now, and I cannot express strongly enough how grateful our family is for the care she receives. From the moment she arrived, the staff have treated her with genuine kindness, patience, and understanding. She is very happy here and proud of her home.

The surroundings are excellent-clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere rather than just a place of care. The facilities are first class and clearly designed with residents' comfort, safety, and enjoyment in mind.

There is also a good range of activities that keep residents engaged and involved. There is a good choice of food available and always plenty to chose from.

What stands out most, however, is the staff. They are absolutely fantastic. I would recommend the home to anybody.

I couldn't wish for a better home for my Mum, who has been living at Saxon Manor for 2 years. All the staff from carers, kitchen, cleaners and hospitality go above and beyond with their care and love for the residents. My Mum loves living at "The Manor" and knowing my Mum is safe and cared for in this way has been life changing for our family!!!
