Care Homes Owned by Avery Healthcare Group in Warwickshire

Our main concerns are that my mother is refusing showers and on voicing this, it was confirmed that she had not showered in three months. Surely this should be addressed. Items very often go missing from her room & incontenence plan not fully implemented.

Butlers mews had been recommended to me. I soon had a conversation with Manager Michelle who quickly put my worries at ease. I am extremly grateful & pleased how the move went. My nan has settled in well just with in a few days she is smiling again & always looks nice & clean. She is sleeping which she wasn't in her previous home. I find the staff kind,professional & very approachable.

On the negative ide, the finance department seems confused and slapdash. Overly complex or weird invoices - especially the ones for extras which lists "fees £0" and then the second invoice for fees attached.

Always quiet areas available if required. Easy to contact staff for any issues.

My dad's only complaint is that he doesn't always enjoy the food, but is very content and comfortable and Butlers Mews and I am always safe in the knowledge that he is safe and looked after.

Mam is very comfortable and well cared for in the home. Everything is well kept and comfortable. The staff are second to none very welcoming. Nothing is to much trouble, no matter when I turn up. I always feel at home, it's like being part of a big family. Thank you all very much

My connection with Scholars Mews has been limited, but I can see that much thought and effort has been applied there and has resulted in excellence. Staff are professional and caring, and refreshingly intelligent in the way Scholars is run, and in daily care routines. I am very happy to see my mum-in-law thriving in her current environment!

Mum has settled really well and made lots of new acquaintances since being at Acorn Lodge. Open Day was really special with most residents able to attend along with their families making previous memories. J (Well-being) organised a trip to the Arboretum which mum loved. J & W regular provide varied activities understanding resident’s abilities, and, encouraging participation but being aware of resident physical and emotional condition. J especially shows a real interest in residents and their history which makes them feel valued. Keep up the good work.

Value for money is scored lower due to the fact residential care is expensive from the client's perspective, it's difficult to deliver that level of value. On occasions Dad has required assistance to use toilet that is slow to be provided. He has appeared untidy needing a shave. Room sometimes needs cleaning simple hoover once a day.

The management and care staff have been excellent, their energy, warmth and caring, as well as professionalism shines through! I feel that we are fortunate to have mum in Scholars Mews, and see that mum gets more mental and physical support and stimulation than before she moved in. Not only are the activities diverse and stimulating, the staff who attend are second to none and give their all in what they do. Thanks very much everyone! My mother-in-law has been at Acorn Lodge for 18months and it is such a relief to all the family that she is being cared for in such a lovely, friendly atmosphere. From the moment she moved in, R set up her room to suit her needs, pictures were hung on the wall to keep the familiarity of home. Nothing is too much trouble for R. and he is always available for any of her day to day requests (squeaky door, tv tuning, recliner chair set up). All the staff are very friendly and approachable.

My dad moved into Acorn Lodge in April this year & has visabley improved from when he was living alone. He's put weight on, his health & welbeing has improved considerably & above he's safe & happy. The level of care is superb as are the staff who kindly, considerate & always upbeat. The food & general cleanliness is first class as is the general atmosphere, friendly & compassionate. Overall, we're very happy with the care Dad is receiving at Acorn Lodge.

It is a lovely welcoming care home, from when I walk in the door the reception are very friendly and helpful. The staff know my aunt name and there is always someone about if I need to ask anything. It is very clean and cosy. There always seems to be activities happening and I love seeing the pictures on facebook of what she's been doing. I would happily recommend this care home to other families.

The care staff, the domestics and Entertainment staff are all amazing. Scholars Mews is a family and I thank everyone of the Staff who care for my mother. Thank you housekeeping for all of your help.

I love living at Scholars Mews

We have been really impressed by the excellent staff and facilities at Scholars Mews. Initially, Maureen struggled to adjust to the new situation but over time she has adapted and is now very happy. We are particularly impressed by the staff who have been really amazing with Maureen. They are always very attentive and supportive of her. Every time they see her they are extremely friendly and cheerful, which really lifts her mood. Also they are highly professional and take great care of her physical and mental health. All of this greatly appreciated.

My mum - Ida has been in the home for about six months. She has settled in so well due to the care and commitment of the staff. They are all so friendly, welcoming, not only to the residents but to family as well. The rooms are always clean and tidy. Meals are excellent. Mum is always clean and washed. Always dressed nicely. All staff from carers, cleaners, reception staff, others I have forgotten are fantastic. The whole care home is so calming and the decor is lovely.
