Mum has settled really well and made lots of new acquaintances since being at Acorn Lodge. Open Day was really special with most residents able to attend along with their families making previous memories. J (Well-being) organised a trip to the Arboretum which mum loved. J & W regular provide varied activities understanding resident’s abilities, and, encouraging participation but being aware of resident physical and emotional condition. J especially shows a real interest in residents and their history which makes them feel valued. Keep up the good work.

My mother-in-law has been at Acorn Lodge for 18months and it is such a relief to all the family that she is being cared for in such a lovely, friendly atmosphere. From the moment she moved in, R set up her room to suit her needs, pictures were hung on the wall to keep the familiarity of home. Nothing is too much trouble for R. and he is always available for any of her day to day requests (squeaky door, tv tuning, recliner chair set up). All the staff are very friendly and approachable.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are delighted that your mother-in-law feels at home in Acorn Lodge and that your family has peace of mind knowing she is well cared for. Your kind comments will be shared with the whole team.

The home is very well organised, always clean, tidy and staff have a caring and nurturing attitude to all the residents. They have helped my mother to settle in and feel at home, and happy, relaxed and confident. It is always reassuring to see photos of my mother taking part in the many activities that are provided. It is also reassuring for us as a family to know that Mum is being looked after and cared for in a way that we couldn't provide.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I am pleased to hear how happy you are with our care home. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and your feedback is greatly appreciated and we look forward to continuing to provide support to your mum.

Thank you for your lovely review, your feedback means a lot to us. We really appreciate your recommendation and ongoing support.
Numerous carers are around whenever visiting and interaction with residents is apparent. Impressed by aerobics classes and quizzes. 4 weeks resident and no UTI's which is a miracle. Dining room, lounge areas spacious and clean.

The food choices are of a high standard and well presented. The home is nicely decorated, well furnished and very clean. I couldn't have asked for anymore from the home, they are such a great team.

I was incredibly impressed last July when the well-being lead, matched her with a family in Canada for regular video chats. She loved Canada - we have family there and she visited many times. I was blown away by how Acorn Lodge went that extra mile to provide this bespoke activity for her, which she looked forward to so keenly every week. It really brightened her life and she loved her five minutes of fame when she was featured on the BBC too. We will be forever grateful for the care shown to her by all the staff in her final few days - it couldn't have been better. She is an exceptional manager who has created a magical atmosphere and a lovely place.
Thank you for your kind words. We have been so lucky to meet your aunt and get to know her and her us. What a wonderful lady with a great sense of humour, she leaves us with many memories to make us smile.
Mum went into respite care at Acorn Lodge for the period 3rd June to 15th June 2024. She was very apprehensive and reluctant, fearing she would be unhappy. I am pleased to say that she was well received by the staff and made to feel at ease from the very first moment she arrived. All the staff,...

The food is excellent and served in a lovely "setting" dining room. "Themed" days in the home and external outings from time to time serve to add to Acorn Lodge's quality of care.
They have provided my mother with a high level of care over the 5 years as a resident. I have on numerous occasions gone "the extra mile" to ensure her needs of well-being are met.
Thank you for such lovely comments for our home. It is appreciated and means a lot to all of us. We are so glad that the last few years have been good for Mum and we hope it continues to be so.
My nan has been here now for a few months, and she is very happy and tells me it's a lovely place to live. The home always looks clean, and the meals look very nice. I've joined some of the activities and entertainment, and it's always good fun. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

My husband went into the care of acorn lodge in December 2022. I visited the care home every day and spent a lot of time with my husband I cannot fault the care my husband received. Staff were very caring and nothing was too much trouble. My husband was put on end of life care for a while and myself and daughter were there all day with him for quite a few weeks, and they looked after us so well as a family. Sadly we lost him in June this year. They did their very best to make him happy even the girls who cleaned their.
