I visited Dukes Court as my friend lives there. It was such a lovely home from home feel. The staff found out I was a knitter so I knitted them lots of colourful cushions for there dementia floor. Management & staff are great, always very welcoming. I will definitely move there when I'm ready.

Dad has been in Glenmoor House for respite, following a stay in hospital. We are so impressed with Glenmoor that we are hoping Dad will become a permanent resident. We cannot fault how caring all staff are. They have helped so much to support Dad, recently widowed, to settle. It feels like home-from-home.

I wanted to write this review to say about Spencer House nursing home, Mum is a resident on the Nursing floor and is treated as part of the family. Mum is involved in the decision making process around her care needs and treatment plan.

My husband Anthony was transferred from another care home in Kettering in February 2025. What a difference!! He needed nursing care which he got immediately. I cannot fault the care he receives at Glenmoor House. It is second to none!! All the staff are amazing & it is such a relief to me as I could
not care for him myself. Thank you all so much.

Resident was moved here and within weeks fell and sustained a serious injury which resulted in major surgery, after being moved back here they have had 3 more falls one of which landed them back in hospital again. The staff are unresponsive to needs and happier to let residents soil themselves instead
of helping them. They complain when they're requested to help. The staff don't seem to care and residents wait far too long when they've requested pain relief for the injuries sustained whilst in the 'care' of this facility. I wouldn't wish for anyone to become a resident here.

From the moment my father entered Ashurst Mews, he has been treated with dignity, kindness and respect. He has settled extremely well and classes it as his new home. He has made friends and enjoys the friendship he has made with his carers. He enjoys the food and the activities, family are encouraged
to visit and I am always made to feel welcome. They keep me up to speed with everything and we are so pleased with Ashurst; it was very much the right decision to place my father in their care. A huge thanks to all the Ashurst team.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I visit my wife daily for extended hours and thereby have acquired a good understanding of the care home operations, management and staff. I am now even more impressed with the Management Teams close involvement in the daily operations related to each resident, and their close and positive relationships,
supervision support of the operational staff. Likewise, the Senior Operational and Nursing teams have excellent team support skills and an intimate knowledge of the differing requirements of each resident. I am also daily impressed with the excellent care, attention, relationships and rapport that the Care Assistants develop with residents and their visitors. Also friendly and committed catering, cleaning and support staff.
Make a short-list of potential care home to visits, and use Spencer House as a benchmark for compariison.

Mum has been a resident at Dukes Court for some time now, and the care she receives is exceptional. Many of the staff are long-serving members and the care that they give to all the residents is outstanding. They are a friendly, hardworking and dedicated team. The meals, with a choice of menu, are of
a very high standard, and the wellbeing team offer a full and varied programme. We as a family feel that we made the right decision for Mum. We now have the peace of mind that she is being well cared for 24/7. Thank you to every one of you.

Mum found it very difficult to settle in, but the staff were very sympathetic and understanding, they went out of their way to distract and engage her when we left after each visit. Being deaf she gets bored very easily as she is unable to join in many of the activities. But does enjoy carpet bowls.
Overall we as a family are happy with her care and have peace of mind that she is in a safe place and getting very good care.

Dukes Court is a very good care home. The staff are excellent and provide excellent care in a positive, supportive environment. The building is well suited to its current enterprise and the rooms are comfortable and of a good size. Food is maybe basic, but perhaps what the residents want. 'Value for
money' is always a matter of opinion and all across the sector, the service is expensive. My mother is currently a private payer, I am not sure how evenly the payment burden is split between private payer and the taxpayer. But overall, excellent.
