Words just cannot express how happy me and my sisters are that our parents are here. The staff are amazing, the activities are amazing, the food is amazing, everything is amazing!!. Over the last few years we felt like we had lost mum completely to her dementia. She was so unhappy. Since she moved
here 8 months ago, its like we have her back again. Because she smiles and laughs again. We look forward to our visits to see her as its just a wonderful place to be. Dad is happy catching up on sleep that he couldn't do the last few years. Thank you to everyone at AV

Moving a parent into full-time care is one of the hardest decisions a family can make and a decision I can honestly say I had not been prepared for or considered I would ever have to make. My Mum has now been a resident at Avonmere for 10 months and no words can express the gratitude I have for the
entire staff who from day one have treated her with dignity, care, compassion and the love. From the moment mum was welcomed into Avonmere the care has been nothing short of amazing. The staff don't just look after her physical needs; they genuinely care for her emotional well-being and treat her with so much dignity and warmth. A special thankyou must go to Samantha who has personally helped us navigate the entire process. Her leadership, compassion, and support during a very stressful time has meant the world. She and her wonderful team have created a truly remarkable environment within the care home setting that feels safe, welcoming, and like a true home. I am incredibly grateful.

Mum is very happy at Avon Valley. She always says the staff are kind to her. Mum likes the way she can choose to join in activities or just be left alone and enjoys it when she gets asked to "help". Walks when weather permits are a favourite. Cannot fault the food. She always says she is happy and content

My mother in law is well cared for by the amazing staff who work very hard to make the atmosphere clean, welcoming, friendly and stimulating. There is an incredible array of activities. We would thoroughly recommend it to other families.

My mum has been living in Avonmere for the past 3 years up until November last year my father was there also. She is very happy and enjoys all the activities especially seeing the variety of animals that come in from dogs and ponies to chick's and snakes! She lives on the memory floor and is so well
looked after by the staff. They are all so friendly and helpful and love having her there. Her quality of life is exemporely for a lady of 91! I would highly recommend this delightful care home.

Excellent care home. Mum looked after exceptionally well. Staff friendly and helpful Mum very happy, she has been there over 3 years and is very settled. It gives me peace of mind that she is cared for and her daily needs are met. Well recommended.

My Mother has been in full-time care at Avonmere Residential Care Home for 18 months and I would like to extend my thanks and praise to all the staff who look after her. The range of activities to help with mind, body and soul is wonderful and everyone is very caring, helpful and always a good sense
of humour which is often required when residents are not always co-operative.

Just a few words for the on going care, help and wellbeing that takes place at Avonmere.All the team go above and beyond in ever aspect of the job from reception ,housekeeping ,catering ,care staff, seniors and the entertainment crew. They are all a credit to the home the way the residents who they
look after diligently and are lead by a strong management team.My mother as been a resident for over two and half years and I know with confidence she is looked after and cared for in a wonderful environment with outstanding staff. Thank you ALL.

Since my Mum came to live at Avonmere Care home last November, we can't fault it at all. The staff are all so lovely and caring, the entertainment and outings are excellent along with the food which looks amazing.
Mum recently had a fall, we were told immediately and had further phone calls keeping
us up to date on her progress, we were very impressed with the staff and the system put in place. The home itself is always clean and has lovely indoor & outdoor spaces. we honestly would recommend this Care home to everyone

Dad moved into Avonmere in February 2025. His need for a care home occurred very suddenly which was a shock not only for him but for myself and my mother. From the initial scouting visit to the present day we have only been met and treated with kindness, enthusiasm, care and attention at every visit.
We
couldn't have wished for a nicer care home for dad, he has plenty of activities to attend, he has a beautiful room with ensuite and a lovely view of the garden from his window. All of his needs are met with kindness and dignity and nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff whether it be maintenance/housekeeping/kitchen activities staff, the carers, reception staff or Management. Mum and I always look forward to our visits and enjoy taking part in the activities and talking with the various staff. I highly recommend Avonmere for your loved ones.

My Grandma came to Avonmere after leaving her home of 30 years after a decline in physical and mental health. The journey to this point was not an easy one but she fit right in at Avonmere. The quality of the home is amazing, as are the staff and facilities. Honestly, my grandma is not always the easiest
person to deal with, especially with dementia. However the staff have the patience of saints and always treat her with respect and care even when things must be testing. The only room for improvement for me is sometimes there is a lapse in communication meaning that conversations sometimes need to be had with different members of staff in different roles. I do appreciate however that this is much the same in all walks of life as we're all human.

I viewed many care homes before visiting Avonmere. Once I walked into Avonmere it had a complete different feel to it and almost like a hotel with the hot and cold drinks situated behind the reception desk. The rooms are all spotless and lots of rooms to sit including a bar and library all beautifully
decorated. The outside garden has lots of comfy seats and there is a large balcony upstairs again with seats and parasols.
All staff are amazing from Sam the manager who gets things done to the friendly receptionists, catering staff, Bee the entertainments manager, the nurses, catering staff and the seniors who take great care of mums medical needs
My mum is on the dementia floor and is really happy there as there's always a full day of activities plus trips out in their own bus. Bee and her team encourage residents to follow their hobbies eg golf, art, church, Pilates and lots of eve parties
My mum didn't want to go into a home but tells me she's happy and the staff are very kind

Nobody wants to think of putting a loved one into a care home ! But sometimes there is no option. A very dear friend of mine was sadly amittted to hospital in November 2025 . Over night he was discharged , I knew he was to frail to return home so I promised to find him a 5 star hotel to recover . That's
when after visiting other places I found Avonmere . Straight away I knew he would love it . Sam the manager pulled out all the stops to get him accesed in hospital the next day and move straight in . Initially it was only for respite. But he loved the care / fuss and attention so much he didn't want to leave. He's now been there 5 months and has come on so much . The staff are so kind, and attentive. We've had the odd problem but Sam is always there to listen and sort out immediately. They cater for everyone's needs even with activities. They've even taken my friend to watch he's beloved football team play . I've had dealings with our care homes in the past . This one is outstanding

My Mum moved into Avonmere just over a year ago and everyone has been so supportive and kind.
They have many activities and trips out and there's always something to keep her busy.
The care home is always clean and tidy .
The staff work above and beyond , kind and sympathetic.
The management are always
there to answer questions or just a chat.
I can't recommend this place enough and always brings a smile to my mums face and mine too

My mother was in Avon Valley for 41/2 years and was cared for with dignity + compassion to the very end. The team supported me + my family with end of life care ensuring a dignified end of life. We cannot thank enough the caring team, housekeeping team, chefs + front of house staff. All are kind, compassionate

My mum Mo resided at Avon Valley for the last couple of years and we visited multiple times each week. During that time, she has been extremely well looked after. The staff are exceptionally professional, friendly, kind and caring and overall provide a first class service.
I have always found the
home clean, tidy and well-run. There is an overriding caring attitude to everything they do. My Mother wouldn't want to of been anywhere else. Thank you.
