We're very grateful for the excellent care that Dad has received at Southbourne Beach Care Home. Morgyn is an excellent manager, nothing is too much trouble, and everything that we've needed for Dad's care after a brain injury we've received. I highly recommend this care home, having experienced poor
care at 2 previous homes. Thanks to all the staff.

I chose to join in time for Mum to join in with the yoga session. It was led by Molly, who I thought was outstanding in terms of her calm and friendly manner, clarity, recognition of each resident by name when they made any effort and positive approach.
She easily coped with occasional reluctance
from a resident and made the very large group individual. I've always found the care staff professional and welcoming. This session demonstrated the quality of the therapeutic activities.

The care home, stepped in at the last minute to support my mum.
Mum liked the food, especially the puddings, she liked the homely feel of the room.
Mum said all the staff could not do enough for her.
Mum said the nursing team and carers all supported her needs.
A special thanks to the management
team for supporting her stay.
Mum had her hair cut, nails checked by the in house chiropodist and her daily paper.
Reply from Wendy Blow, Senior Director of Community Relations at Westbourne Tower Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you so much for your lovely comments. Our staff work so hard to make our residents feel special and cared for. The nurses are on duty 24 hours a day, which is so reassuring for our more poorly residents. Thank you for trusting us with your lovely mum. It is always a difficult decision to make, particularly when she loved her home so much!

My sister has been a resident of Westbourne Tower for 2 1/2 years. She has been suffering from dementia this entire period. In the beginning, the attention and affection she received from the care home nurses were brilliant. Now that she is entering the last chapter, the care she has received has been
extraordinary. Much love and thanks to everyone at Westbourne Tower Care Home.

My father needed respite care to recover from a fall and being my mother's carer it was great that she could join him and stay in the same room during my father's rehabilitation. The staff are very caring and thoughtful, they have managed to get my father mobile, feeding and washing himself so that
he can return home and maintain some independence. The cleanliness and attention to detail as well as the administration is excellent, a member of staff offered me so much support helping to get my father discharged from hospital and settling my mother in. The food and meal service is like a hotel, with lots of choice and options to suit the individual. The exercise classes have challenged my parents and the gardens are beautiful to sit in and enjoy. I highly recommend Tower care home.
Reply from Wendy Blow, Senior Director of Community Relations at Westbourne Tower Care Home - Avery CollectionThankyou so much for choosing us. Your parents were an absolute delight we all wanted them to stay, but are super pleased that they are able to go home and continue with their lives. Its a credit to all of you that they were recommended or home by neighbours and that they knew so many people in our home. Demographic Profiling at its best! I love it that the family are so close and they are super proud of you all. I hope we see you all again.

My father-in-law spent the final few months of his life in the care of the team at Westbourne Tower. We fell in love with the Home from the moment we walked through the door on a recce. The staff and residents alike were happy and engaged and knew instantly that it was the right place for him and us.
Ultimately my father-in-law was admitted following a medical emergency and the team managed a stressful (for us) situation without fuss. His room was lovely: light and airy and very large - plenty of room for his pictures, clothes, and various accessories to find space. From the moment he took up residence we knew he was safe, secure and well looked after. The nursing team and carers could not have done more for him or us. We were greeted like family on our visits and they became family to us and to my father-in-law. When he passed it was in the care of people who we trusted. We are thankful we took that first step through the door and my only regret is that star rating stops at 5 not 10.
Reply from Wendy Blow, Senior Director of Community Relations at Westbourne Tower Care Home - Avery CollectionBless you, Thankyou so much. Our team are incredible and genuinely love the residents they care for, I am so inspired that you saw the heart of our home and trusted us with this lovely man. I am just sad that we didn't have more quality time with him.You and your wife have done everything you could to make his passing a peaceful one, I hope that you are both able to look back and remember the good time.

Hello. Today we visited my mum. My son (her grandson) my grandson (her great grandson) were visiting from Canada. She had such a lovely surprise when her great grandson ran in and gave her a huge cuddle. My sister and partner also joined us for the reunion. Although we hadn't decided what to do for
lunch we all decided to stay in as the weather wasn't t good.
At very short notice we asked if it was possible to have some sandwiches for lunch as we were all sat in the conservatory. The catering staff certainly go that extra mile. We were amazed. We had such wonderful sandwiches (including prawns as its mums favourite) we also had lemon drizzle cake and lovely strawberries. The icing on the cake was that we were offered a glass of wine. It made mum feel so special as that is always what she would have done. She loved to cater for her family.
Thankyou to the catering team. You are amazing. Thanks for making my mum so happy.
Reply from Wendy Blow, Senior Director of Community Relations at Westbourne Tower Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you. Our dining team always go that extra mile and love to delight our residents, often catering parties in our private dining room at short notice. We never lose sight of the fact that this is our residents home and needs to be treated as such. Family and friends helps to make our home a special place. All our food is prepared on site and the cakes for afternoon tea are exceptional we have some very talented bakers in our kitchen.

Westbourne towers staff take a personal approach to their residents, and always seem caring and kind. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and activity is positively encouraged. Facilities such as hairdressing, chiropody and restaurant are all excellent. The room is spacious and well maintained. Extra

The resident is totally satisfied living at Westbourne Tower. The facility is spacious and spotlessly clean. The management style of administration is first class and the director is to be congratulated on her attention to detail. The food is of an exceptional standard with choice of red or white wine.
The service at meal times is excellent. The care provided is friendly yet professional with controlled sympathy administered at a respite level. I am continued to be impressed as the resident is totally happy.
