I cannot rate Edenbridge Manor highly enough. My 93 year old mother has been there for 3 weeks respite care so far & possibly a 4th week. Every single member of the team is exemplary - I wish I could name them all. They are all the best & the facilities superb as is the care. No, it is not inexpensive
but it is worth every penny!

I have been impressed by Elvy Court from my very first contact with them. All staff have been consistently kind and helpful towards my mother and the family and have remained so, now that she is a resident there. She has settled much better than we could have hoped and is really benefiting from some
great activities. This seems to be a home which really does care about its residents, has high standards but is also relaxed and friendly.
Thank you all so much.

This 'Dementia' Nursing home is not suitable for people with Dementia who are mobile. The majority of current residents are in their beds and staff attend to these neglecting the others. My father was left literally walking up and the corridor under stimulated and not very clean. Glad we moved him to
another care home with similar mobile people. I advise you to get a care needs assessment done by the council (even if you are self funding) before placing your loved one in this home.
Reply from Rachel Allan, Client Liaison Manager at Elvy Court Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your father's experience did not meet your expectations.
We understand that individuals living with dementia have a wide range of needs and abilities, and we recognise the importance of providing appropriate stimulation, engagement, and support for residents who remain mobile and active. We take concerns regarding cleanliness, resident wellbeing, and levels of activity very seriously and regularly review our care practices to ensure all residents receive the attention they need.
We are pleased to hear that your father has found a setting that better suits his current needs.
We appreciate your comments, as feedback helps us continually evaluate and improve our services. We wish your father and your family all the very best for the future.

After viewing nine care homes my sister and I chose Elvy Court as the atmosphere and engagement with the staff was the best of all of them. Every contact with both managers and care staff has been friendly and welcoming. Any concerns we have had have been dealt with straight away. Out mother is an anxious
person but every effort by all the staff has been made to help her settle in, and as visitors we are always made to feel welcome. Would recomend Elvy Court to anyone.

My mother has been in Elvy Court for the past 7 years. It was her 96th birthday on Thursday.
Without the wonderful care she has received over the past 7 years, she would not be alive today.
The home is a credit to Avery and the amount of events put on for the residents who are able to attend is
fantastic. I am 100% satisfied with everything my mum has received since being there.

Mum and Dad have been residents at the Miramar for nearly two years . From the time they joined the Miramar family they have had nothing but positive and lovely things to say about each and every one of the staff . Nothing is ever too much trouble and everyone approaches everything they do with kindness
and patience. The activities, entertainment and outings provided for the residents ensure there really is never a dull moment and they often remark that it feels more like a hotel than a care home. Miramar operates an open visiting policy and every time we visit we are greeted by engaging and smiley staff and a warm atmosphere. Dad still can't believe there is coffee and freshly baked cakes on tap !
Thank you Miramar for all that you have done and all you continue doing . Karen Ross

I had reviewed a number of homes in the local Sevenoaks area but found Rivermere to stand out. I was initially met with a very warm response for a tour which the host had re-arranged her own diary to fit in at short notice. Mum stayed as a Respite guest for three weeks as she wanted to experience this
type of lifestyle. She was delighted with the care, the service, the food and the overall attention to detail and professionalism shown by the staff. Once we have sorted a number of administration and re-location issues we hope to move mom in full time

I can not rate the management and leadership of the Miramar Care Home highly enough. Nothing is too much trouble and all teams demonstrate high levels of care. Miramar is an exceptional care home that my mum has her called home for 4 years. The facilities are excellent and of high quality. The hotel standard makes it a very comfortable and pleasant place to be with high quality dining, a cafe area and lovely grounds. The wellbeing team provide a daily activity
schedule of interactive games, quizzes, music and wellbeing focused activities. However the key componant are the staff who are approachable, friendly and dedicated. My mum sadly became quite ill recently and the staff have been so supportive and genuinely thoughtful. It was a tough set if circumstances that brought us to Miramar but I can honestly say it was totally the right decision for my mum. The next period may be very different for mum and I am hopeful that the team will support her with the dignity and care she will need.

I have rather mixed feelings about Edenbridge Manor. While I cannot fault the facilities and activities for the more able-minded residents, I felt that those on the dementia floor did not receive the care they required, most likely due to understaffing/lack of trained staff. On the occasions we visited,
the care team appeared overstretched and while certain members did an excellent job, others less willing to leap into action, especially with more difficult/upsetting residents. Considering the added cost for dementia residents, this needs improvement.
From what I have seen and experienced, if the time comes for one of my own parents to be placed in care, I will not be using Avery. The fact that their care home fees are payable for 14 days after a resident's death is grossly excessive. The CMA states that a period of no more than three days is appropriate and having to pay such hefty fees alongside funeral costs is the last thing that any grieving family should have to worry about
Reply from Jane Henri, Customer Service Manager at Edenbridge Manor Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased that you recognised the quality of our facilities and activities. We appreciate that experiences and perceptions can vary, and we are sorry to hear that aspects of your visits left you with concerns.
At Edenbridge Manor, we are committed to providing high-quality care and support for all residents, including those living with dementia, and our teams work hard to meet each individual's needs. We value all feedback as it helps us continue to review and enhance our services.
We also understand that discussions around care fees can be sensitive, particularly during difficult times for families. Our policies are communicated transparently and are applied consistently. Should you wish to discuss any of your comments further, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly. Kind regards, Jane
