From what I have seen and experienced, if the time comes for one of my own parents to be placed in care, I will not be using Avery. The fact that their care home fees are payable for 14 days after a resident's death is grossly excessive. The CMA states that a period of no more than three days is appropriate and having to pay such hefty fees alongside funeral costs is the last thing that any grieving family should have to worry about
It was clear how hard you all worked to ensure my mum, and every resident, was treated with dignity, kindness, and care each day. Knowing she was surrounded by people who truly cared gave us great comfort and peace of mind. Thank you for creating such a supportive environment and for everything you did to make my mum's time with you happy and comfortable. Your efforts will always be deeply appreciated.
When we visited Edenbridge Manor in August 2023 with my cousin, it immediately gave us a feeling of comfort and welcoming that put us all at ease, and pave the
My cousin has been a resident since then, and celebrated her 100th birthday in 2024 - where the staff put on a party for her and around 25 of her visiting friends. Nothing was too much trouble for them to ensure she had a great day.
The care and attention to her health and well-being is wonderful, and gives us full confidence in the quality of the service provided by the team of wonderful staff.
A colleague of mine also has a relative in another of the Avery Care Homes, and feels the same support as we do.

I am the General Manager at Edenbridge Manor, part of Avery Healthcare, a role I have held since October 2025 after previously serving as Deputy Manager. Originally from Romania, I began my career as a Senior Midwife before moving to England in 2016. I joined Avery Healthcare as a Care Assistant at Silvermere Care Home and have progressed through dedication and hard work, including a leadership role at Esher Manor Care Home. I am passionate about delivering person-centred care, supporting my team, and creating a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where residents feel valued, respected, and truly at home.
Courtney joined Edenbridge Manor as a deputy manager in January 2026.
I have 18 years of dedicated experience in health and social care, having progressed through roles including Care Worker, Senior Carer, Team Leader, and for the last six years, Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, and Head of Care.
My experience spans a wide range of complex care needs including early-stage and EMI dementia, Huntington’s disease, mental health conditions, brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, neurological disorders, learning disabilities, and autism. I completed my Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification in 2009, and I also hold a Train the Trainer qualification in Moving and Handling.
I originally trained and worked across Aberdeen and Inverness in Scotland, before relocating to England in June 2018. In March 2019, I joined Greensleeves Care in Crawley as a Senior Carer and was later promoted to Assistant Manager. Over the last six years, I have successfully held senior leadership roles in residential and nursing care settings.
At Middleton Grove Nursing Home, I led significant quality improvement initiatives as Head of Care, successfully building a strong, cohesive team, promoting effective communication, and championing equality and diversity. I operate an open-door policy and lead by example—always supporting, encouraging, and inspiring staff. Within just 16 weeks, I implemented a targeted action plan that raised the standards of care and compliance to a high level.
In June 2024, I took on the challenge of working at Ifield Park Care Home – Ellwood Place, which was under special restrictions at the time. Thanks to focused leadership and team development, restrictions were lifted by mid-August 2024, and new admissions were resumed. I also supported improvement efforts at Woodroffe-Benton House, which had two “Requires Improvement” KLOEs. In March 2025, a CQC inspection rated both services as “Good”, which was a significant achievement.
My work includes:
• Leading care plan and risk assessment improvements
• Teaching staff person-centred care (PCS) approaches
• Managing MED ECARE medication systems and training staff
• Completing monthly audits and KPIs
• Promoting wellbeing, dignity, and quality of life for all residents
I work with compassion, empathy, and professionalism—putting my heart into every role. I believe in

I have done my job to the best of my ability.
I started working at Edenbridge Manor in 2022 as a receptionist. I started the role as Client Liaison Manager in 2024. I have a passion for good customer service and care.
