I would like to thank all the staff at Edenbridge Manor care home for the kindness, care and compassion that they so freely give to my mum.
The staff are amazing, mum appreciated the fuss they made for her birthday last month and is so happy and settled.

My mother was the first resident at Edenbridge Manor Care Home moving to the home in early spring 2021. She had four and a half years enjoying the company and the care as her memory declined. Mum passed away recently at 98 after a short stay in hospital.
The home is a truly lovely place and I was
always confident that she was safe and comfortable, she made some lovely friends with both other residents and the staff. The staff, headed up with the new manager, are a great team, so happy and enthusiastic. I really believe Edenbridge Manor Care home was the very best next thing to my mum being in her own home and I will always be grateful to them.

Edenbridge Manor is a lovely, welcoming care home. We visit a friend there every week. Our friend is well looked after, has the companionship of the other residents and enjoys taking part in the many activities organised on a daily basis.The staff are very friendly and caring and greet us as regular
visitors. Our friend recently had a birthday and the home arranged a marvellous afternoon tea party for us and provided a super birthday cake. The home is very clean and is maintained to a hotel standard. Our friend appreciates her comfortable private en-suite room which is large enough to entertain occasional guests. Thank you very much.

It's a lovely home! All the staff are really sweet & care about making genuine connections with residents and their families. The home itself has amazing facilities & is so clean. There's so much for residents to do, with daily activities and events, as well as lounges to relax with guests/other residents.
It has a really homely feel & is a really lovely place to visit & spend time with family.

I moved my mother from another care home where she had been a resident for 18 months. The difference is night and day. Edenbridge Manor is so welcoming with many opportunities for Mum to get involved. Mum was in care following a complex fracture. In the other care home she hardly walked anywhere, in
Edenbridge she walks everywhere. This is so much to do with the caring staff who Mum compliments regularly. I could ask for nothing more for Mum knowing she is happy, safe and so well cared for.

The staff are kind, tolerant and welcoming to both my mother in law and us as a family. The environment is clean, cheerful and almost hotel like in quality, making visiting nana/mum in law a pleasant experience for both the children and myself. The staff are so kind they try and encourage my mother
in law to get the best of of all the different opportunities, of which there are many. She loves Bingo and movies. Thank you.

Dad has dementia, and we were finding it very difficult to maintain him safely and comfortably at home. Since moving in he has settled in well. The staff show great patience and kindness towards him. He is starting to enjoy the garden and outings. He is very happy with the food.

Mum and Dad went to Edenbridge Manor for a respite stay after Dad had a period in hospital. I can't speak highly enough of the home and the staff and the experience was so good that my brother and I would have preferred them to stay.

My father has been cared for now, for several months. His care has been nothing short of amazing. The care staff are attentive and very focused on person-centred care. The management team have been incredible every step of the way. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. The young lady on reception
always greets with an amazing smile and kindness. Altogether an amazing team.

I have visited Endbridge Manor regularly to share Holy Communion with residents over the last eighteen months. I have found the home to be consistently warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly and efficient and there seems to be a genuine desire to address the wellbeing of the residents.

The staff are very welcoming when entering the reception.
Spotless and very clean.
Lovely coffee machine with cakes and biscuits for all to enjoy.
Resident's room is nice and spacious with her own little patio on to the garden.
In the piano room, they had a 'Mad Hatters Tea Party' which all the
residents were keen to join in with lots of yummy cakes.

My wife and I came to Edenbridge Manor Care Home in March 2023. I am 92 and my wife is 90. We did not look forward to having to leave our bungalow in a very pretty village in South Northamptonshire. Having no family in that area, we chose The Manor to be closer to our last remaining family member. Wow
what a great choice we made. It has been all that you could have wished for from the beginning until the present. 5 star accommodation with 5 star service.

My family joined my nan for a community lunch.
We had a table laid to join my nan. The lunch was beautifully presented. Roast chicken, stuffing, cauliflower cheese, baby carrots, broccoli stems and gravy. Was very tasty! With one my favourite old school classics of jam and coconut sponge with custard
for pudding.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who made us feel very welcome.

My mother is being very well looked after at Edenbridge Manor and is happy and settled there. The staff are very caring and she is treated with great respect. There is always a calm and pleasant atmosphere when I visit and the facilities and meals are very good too. We have had a couple of internal
communication issues, but they have been resolved quickly.

My mum was here for six weeks. The home is like a hotel and feels very luxurious. The staff are lovely, polite, caring and helpful (lot of agency staff). Mum was on the top floor so the food was brought up from downstairs. By the time it reached her (on a cold plate), it was cold. She didn't like the
meals and at one point we brought in microwave meals for her. A Ploughman's supper consisted of half a slice of processed ham, a thin slice of corned beef, a 50p size brie and a roll, she had to ask for butter! Other residents complained too but it wasn't resolved. Housekeeping wasn't great. She had to ask for her bed and towels to be changed after two weeks as there was no sign of it being done, cleaning was intermittent and the bins were not emptied regularly. When mum cut her leg there was not a first aid kit, no plasters or bandages available, the carer found her one from her handbag! The laundry lost a pair of her trousers and one wash wasn't ironed. Major improvement needed.

Lovely building, rooms and people as care staff, caring, smiley, they mean well. But it is very important to note that, despite their clothing, there are no nurses on staff at all! It's a residential care home', they hammered this home, when they came to me to tell me her residency has been terminated.
I
would love to show you the letter sent to me, but sadly on this platform, I can't, maybe on another social media platform. The deputy manager, admitted, that they had a number of residents that they could no longer cope with and were similarly being asked to leave! My mum, is not aggressive or angry, as some with dementia can get. She has become immobile, needs help into a wheelchair and eating, and her legs have a skin infection. With no nurses on staff they can't change the bandages. They have issued a letter advising me the final date of her residency will be the 20th of June. If your loved one will need a nurse at any stage, or more care than they do now, please look elsewhere.

As a residential home, we take great care in undertaking a full assessment, to ensure we can meet future residents' needs, this is a crucial part of understanding our new residents and ensuring we do not accept anyone who requires nursing care as this would not be in anyone's best interest. All our resident's needs are ongoingly reviewed as they can change over time. You'll see as per 2.4 of the signed residency agreement that it states this is reviewed monthly. It was, sadly, identified that we were unable to meet mum's needs and therefore in her best interest to be moved onto another type of home. These decisions are never taken lightly but our residents' welfare is paramount. We are sorry that as a result of mum's needs changing we had to give notice but I hope that you can understand this decision was made in her best interest as we are a residential and dementia care home that are unable to meet nursing needs, Kind regards, Jane.

My career in care began in 2010 with the NHS, where I started as a ward hostess. That initial role sparked a deep passion for care, which has since shaped a rewarding and fulfilling journey. From ward hostess to healthcare assistant, and eventually qualifying as a nurse, I’ve continued to grow—progressing into roles such as charge nurse, clinical lead, acting area manager, and ultimately home manager.


Over the past 15 years, I’ve developed a broad skill set and extensive leadership experience across both paediatric and adult care, within the NHS and private sector, as well as international work and volunteering.


As a General Manager, I take great pride in spending time with our residents and supporting them to live independent, meaningful lives. Working within the team that is committed to delivering truly person-centred care, tailored to each individual’s needs.
