I advise you to get a care needs assessment done by the council (even if you are self funding) before placing your loved one in this home.

After viewing nine care homes my sister and I chose Elvy Court as the atmosphere and engagement with the staff was the best of all of them. Every contact with both managers and care staff has been friendly and welcoming. Any concerns we have had have been dealt with straight away. My Nan has been in Elvy court since January and she has settled really well, previously she would not eat and used to be uncomfortable but since she has been there she has come out of her shell, she eats lots, always well groomed and even gets her nails done which she is proud of! I cannot fault...

Mum's been at Elvy for about 5 weeks and has settled much better than we ever thought she would. We've been able to add our own touches to her room so she is surrounded by things that are familiar to her. She's being encouraged to join in the activities and is enjoying doing this. She's made friends with other residents which is lovely to see. The staff are all lovely with her, and we are able to visit whenever we like. It was a huge step for the family moving mum to Elvy, but we can see that she is happy, which makes us happy. She's also safe here which is very very important to us.

Teegan is the Deputy Manager at Elvy Court Nursing Home, having built her career with Avery Healthcare over the past seven years. She began her journey at Elvy Court as a Healthcare Assistant and, through dedication, hard work and the support of the team around her, has progressed through a number of roles including Senior Care Assistant, Home Trainer, Unit Manager and, most recently, Deputy Manager.
Throughout her journey with Avery, Teegan has continued to develop her knowledge, skills and confidence, achieving her Level 2 qualification, Level 3 Access to Nursing, Level 4 Lead Practitioner qualification and, most recently, her Level 5 in Management.
Teegan is passionate about supporting residents to receive safe, personalised and compassionate care, while also helping colleagues to develop and feel confident in their roles. Having experienced her own career progression within Elvy Court, she understands the importance of providing staff with the encouragement, opportunities and support they need to reach their potential.
