My mum has been a resident for a while, the staff are all very caring, friendly and are looking after my mum brilliantly.

My mother was a resident from September 2022 to December 2022, when she sadly passed. I can not speak highly enough of the care and attention my mother received during her short stay. Mum was treated with respect and dignity by all medical and support staff and this care was extended to me at critical
times before, during and after Mum’s last days. Mum did not have dementia and her mind was alert, but her body was failing and she needed frequent medical care, which was provided to the highest standard.
There is an open-door policy with senior management, which gives instant peace of mind. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and efficient. As a relative you quickly become part of the Elvy Court family; there is a lot to be said for a friendly face and a kind word during tough times. There is a lively programme of activities and the food is varied and tailored to individuals. The biggest compliment I can pass on is that Mum said she felt safe which meant the world to me. It’s a special place!

My mum moved in September 2019.
The staff are very kind and attentive.
They are also very kind to me.
I visit Mum regularly up to several times a week and I definitely make my own self at home as they have a nice coffee machine and often biscuits/cakes for visitors.
My mum does have issues eating
but the staff will always ensure an alternative is available and are happy to make toast/omelettes.
I am very grateful to all at Elvy Court.
Mum is much salted since being here, and she falls less and does not have to go into the hospital regularly as the staff can deal with everything there. I am happy that mum is well looked after and safe.

The person I am writing about is 96 years old, she has dementia, she doesn't know me anymore, I am sad for her that her world is so small now. All the staff are friendly and do a great job looking after our dad. They have been working hard to help him gain some weight as now only on liquid meals. Our dad arrived in Elvy Court on the 4th July 2022. Unfortunately, he passed in May 2023. But, for the last year of his life, he was cared for 24/7. All staff involved could not have done any better to look after his complicated needs. The staff go above and beyond in making sure all the residents are
clean and just well looked after. My sister and I said it was an extension to our own family. Without their devotion, our dad's time in a care home could have been so much different. They encouraged him up most the time, when he was not poorly, to sit in the lounge so he could interact with other residents or just have a change of scenery. It was not easy as Dad could not walk or feed himself anymore, which meant that he had extra needs. Again, thank you Memory Floor Team (days and nights teams). Many thanks again and we would recommend anyone needing care or a residential/dementia home to enquire about Elvy Court. Thank you again.

The staff at Elvy Court are all caring and attentive. My father's personal care is of a good standard and I have noticed a general improvement in service since the new manager has been in post. I have not been invited to a 1 -1 meeting to discuss dads care and would welcome this opportunity. The activities
do not seem to happen on dads floor.

Elvy Court showed absolute respect and care toward my mother from the moment she arrived. Starting from first contact with the management team, reception to the nursing team and beyond - everyone showed an active interest in my mother's care and well-being. The care was also extended to the family visiting,
making sure we were kept informed at all times. I can't thank them enough for the dignity and care they provided to my mother.

Most of the staff at Elvy Court Care Home are amazing, kind, considerate, hard-working and fully committed to their job. Unfortunately, some, mainly the agency, staff sometimes let the home down and our experience has been that on these occasions our mother's daily care can suffer.
My mother loves
all of the permanent staff members and they are excellent with her as she can shout when they are doing her personal care.
The supervisors/nurses on the dementia floor work very hard to ensure that the residents are well looked after, again some of the agency staff can let them down. I believe that it would be beneficial to have someone in charge overall of the residents' daily care, not nursing needs, to visit the residents every hour to ensure they have been cleaned properly after every meal, they are positioned correctly in the bed and they have drunk enough during the day.

I am pleased with the care and attention my father receives; all the staff are caring, approachable, and nothing is too much trouble.
The rooms are light, airy and clean.


The only failing I find is the parking, after travelling for two hours it is frustrating to then have to find somewhere else

to park.

My father's needs are met with every care and dignity that is possible to give. Every visit we are met with good vibes always. Dad always is clean and happy and enjoys the meals he receives and the attention the care workers give him. So far we have no complaints, very satisfied with the home.

My father has been a resident at Elvy Court for over 18 months now and is very happy there. Admittedly the first few months were extremely hard for him (and us) due to covid restrictions. Unable to visit at the beginning we relied on telephone conversations to check his well-being and the staff couldn't
have been more helpful. Dad is approaching his 100th birthday and although completely compos mentis is getting physically weaker. Both my brother and I are so grateful for the loving care he received from all the staff and can never thank them enough for all they do for him. He is a man of few words but we know he thinks very highly of those who care for him. Elvy Court is now like an extension of our family and all the staff (management, reception, admin, nursing, carers, and catering) are willing to talk to us about Dad and any concerns we may have. We as a family are so grateful that we chose Elvy Court to take care of Dad.

Elvy Court Care Home is very friendly and the staff are amazing considering the challenges they face. The management and indeed all staff are always ready to listen. We have had a few minor issues that are being dealt with. Mum is so happy and often says if she can't be at home this is the next best

My dad was admitted to this care home a couple of months ago. I was dubious at first sending him to a nursing home, however, given his complex health needs, we had no option other than to have him reside in a nursing home. I have been very involved with his health needs and have a very good medical/health
care understanding, it gives me the ability to truly understand how well this care home is performing.


I've met many staff at Elvy Court from management, nurses, care staff, cleaners, front of house, kitchen staff and I have been very impressed by the service, attentiveness and willingness to help. You can speak to any member of staff, and they will personally know Dad, his habits and his needs, which is impressive as he is not treated as a resident number there. They've been transparent, open to suggestions, answer all my questions, however, most importantly, go above and beyond care expectations, where others in the industry will do the bare minimum.

When my mum first went to Elvy Court, the staff were very friendly, approachable and eager to bond with family members. In the last 12-months, there has been a high turnover of staff, and the staff/patient bond isn't what it was. Staff and management are very standoffish with the exception of a couple
of individuals. In the last 4-months, there have been two incidents regarding my mum, which have resulted in the social services people and police being involved. The end resort being one member of staff being dismissed. These incidents were very distressing and at no point have I received an apology from Elvy Court or the group. It's almost like the matter has been dealt with so move on.
