First impressions of Alice Court were good. If I had booked a hotel like this I would be happy. The staff were caring and attentive and I enjoyed the food. As I went to bed early I found it a little noisy around 9pm. However this was a minor factor on what was a good experience.

My mum recently spent two weeks here after an operation. The environment is so calm and relaxing, you almost forget you're in a care home. The whole team were amazing, really friendly and so supportive. We were so pleased with the quality of care she received during her stay, she always treated with the dignity and respect you would want for your relatives. They provide a good selection of freshly cooked meals along with a selection of drinks and snacks available during our visits. She had direct access to the relaxing garden, with plenty of individual and collective spaces for all the residents to enjoy. It's clear a lot of attention goes into keeping the home comfortable and very clean. The activities at the care home were one of the things we really appreciated. A wonderful variety, with plenty of activities taking place throughout the day, catering for different interests and abilities. It was lovely to see residents being encouraged to take part, socialise and enjoy themselves.

Unfortunately had to move my dad from previous care home cause didn't feel they were taking proper care of my dad and we brought him to Eastbourne gardens who I've got to say were outstanding in every way so caring and loving towards my dad i couldn't ask for anymore also very caring towards family they were the whole package and I've got to say thanks for treating dad with respect and dignity and giving us best experience and ticking every box thank you Eastbourne gardens to you and your very special staff

My dad stayed at Eastbourne Gardens in August and September 2026. He was very near the end of his life, and very very ill. The staff were continuously kind and patient with my dad, and with us, his family. They were so respectful to us all. My dad didn't use the communal areas as he was bed-bound, but whenever I went to get a coffee (delicious) from the kitchen, everyone was so friendly. Tracy on the front desk would chat with us, and comfort us when we were struggling emotionally. So did the site manager, and any other staff we came across. I noticed that even the delivery drivers were known by name and welcomed in for a chat. There was a wonderful nurse on my dad's floor who would hug me when things were getting too much. They all lined the hallway when my dad passed, as a mark of respect. In short, the care my wonderful dad received was exemplary, and this place is run like a caring family. We are so grateful to them all.

My husband, who was terminally ill and confined to bed, was transferred to Eastbourne Gardens after a dreadful 3 weeks in another care home. This means that I can compare the two with accuracy. Eastbourne Gardens welcomed my husband and spared no time in making sure he was comfortable from the outset. Thereafter they nursed him and cared for him with the utmost professional expertise and with high regard for his dignity and wellbeing. He appreciated their warmth and humour, which made his last days comfortable and affectionate. They welcomed us, his family, and dogs, with no restrictions on visiting. I'm so glad we found Eastbourne Gardens and that they had a room available when we needed it. I would recommend this place as a proper nursing home. My husband was not able to take part in the many activities that were available. But the affection and cheerfulness of the staff meant that he didn't miss out in the social aspect of his residency. Long may this care home survive.

Alice Court is a lovely welcoming care home the staff are all friendly and lots of activities to keep everyone entertained they also have events open to public as well which is great to get families & friends involved

My 92 year old mother has been at Eastbourne Gardens for a year now. She was very reticent about going into a care home but absolutely loves it. There are activities every day and regular outings in a minibus. The activities team is amazing. The ladies on reception are amazing and always so helpful with whatever request/query you have small or large. The restaurant team are amazing. The care/health team are amazing. The administration staff are amazing. Without exception, everyone is so kind and respectful to the residents. I live abroad so it is a great worry off my mind knowing that my mother is well cared for and looked after with love. I would highly recommend Eastbourne Gardens Care Home.

We came to visit the summer fair and we very much enjoyed. The staff were extremely welcoming and residents were happy, and welcoming also. My child and friend enjoyed the games provided and wonderful hospitality. The band were amazing including the dj and choice of music. It was lovely being able to talk to the residents and spend time with them. Thank you for having us.

The only fault I have is with the food, but once they sort out the problem I can't give them full mark's.

Made very welcome on day of arrival, the premises was well laid out and clean throughout, meals are well prepared and nutritional. Most importantly the staff do a difficult job in a cheerful manner and show a great deal of empathy to residents needs. I would not hesitate in recommending Alice Court to family and friends

On several occasions have stayed for lunch. Offered numerous drinks and snacks during the stay. Especially enjoy sitting with Frank in the garden,

We were extremely impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of all the staff at Eastbourne Gardens. We needed help moving our mother to a new nursing home and Katie was so helpful in showing us around and then arranging for Mum to have one of their lovely rooms where she is now very settled. It is a pleasure for all the family to visit Mum at Eastbourne Gardens where the facilities are welcoming with good food and lots of activities for Mum to join in with. We are so happy with this move and feel Mum is getting all the care and attention she needs.

The home is immaculate, clean, fresh, feels more like a 5 star hotel.

What a place! My mum in law is settling in. So friendly, caring and clean. I love the atmosphere!

I feel so welcome as I visit my Mum. Mum is known, cared for and given so many opportunities to enrich her life....kurling, boccia, visiting performers, quizzes, themed events etc. It seems anything is possible...you just ask. The care team and management consistently go above and beyond. This is all so important for when someone can be at their most vulnerable. The rooms and facilities are exceptional and every work member is valued.

She is so well cared for; we have no complaints.

Alice Court is a first-rate establishment that is finding its feet through the teething problems of a new home, but this is evident to see in the manager's leadership, and little attention to detail, plus the staff's willingness to listen and treat Dad as a person, not a being - the result is that he wants to stay full time!

We are so pleased to have mum looked after so well at Alice Court. Ten out of ten for everything.
