I feel so welcome as I visit my Mum. Mum is known, cared for and given so many opportunities to enrich her life....kurling, boccia, visiting performers, quizzes, themed events etc. It seems anything is possible...you just ask. The care team and management consistently go above and beyond. This is all
so important for when someone can be at their most vulnerable. The rooms and facilities are exceptional and every work member is valued.

Dad has been made to feel very welcome right from the start of his stay, especially with the encouragement of him playing the piano!
Alice Court is a first-rate establishment that is finding its feet through the teething problems of a new home, but this is evident to see in the manager's leadership,
and little attention to detail, plus the staff's willingness to listen and treat Dad as a person, not a being - the result is that he wants to stay full time!
Reply from Maz Lewis, Client Liaison Manager at Alice Court Care HomeThank you so much for your wonderful feedback. As I reply to you, I can hear your father playing the piano in the background, the residents and staff really enjoy listening to your father, bringing life into our Bistro area!

My mother in law has been a resident for 2 weeks now. The staff are all truly caring & nothing is too much trouble, they treat mum & visitors like their own family.
The actual home is second to none, more like a 5* hotel with fantastic facilities & the price is surprisingly similar to most care homes
in the town.
No plastic covered armchairs in a row just lovely modern furniture.
They also go all out to entertain & keep the residents occupied, engaged & happy. They even have a cinema room & hair salon.
Well done all.

Wow wow wow. This sums it up! the facilities are second to none, the staff are amazing and the care cannot be faulted.

After a stay in hospital my Mum needed some TLC to get mobile again. She had till this time been very anti any sort of care home and very independent. We knew her concerns would

change once she saw Alice Court Care Home. I think we have a convert, everyone has been so welcoming, from the very first contact with her in the hospital, to the welcome as she walked through the door. It felt like home for her immediately.

She is smiling with every visit and loves the staff, they are getting her involved in the activities and she is making new friends with the other residents. She loves having the run of the place and there is so much choice where to spend ger time and who to talk to next. Her world had been shrinking and now it seems boundless again. I cannot recommend Alice Court Care Home enough.

Reply from Maz Lewis, Client Liaison Manager at Alice Court Care HomeThank you so much for your lovely feedback. We aim to continue to make your mother's stay a pleasurable one with many, many more happy memories that she has already brought with her.

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.882)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.882) out of 10 for Alice Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.903 for Alice Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (65 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.903
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.979 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Alice Court Care Home is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 = 3.55
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 70 registered maximum number of service users is 14. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 14 = 0.429
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
