First impressions of Alice Court were good. If I had booked a hotel like this I would be happy. The staff were caring and attentive and I enjoyed the food. As I went to bed early I found it a little noisy around 9pm. However this was a minor factor on what was a good experience.

My mum recently spent two weeks here after an operation. The environment is so calm and relaxing, you almost forget you're in a care home. The whole team were amazing, really friendly and so supportive. We were so pleased with the quality of care she received during her stay, she always treated with the dignity and respect you would want for your relatives. They provide a good selection of freshly cooked meals along with a selection of drinks and snacks available during our visits. She had direct access to the relaxing garden, with plenty of individual and collective spaces for all the residents to enjoy. It's clear a lot of attention goes into keeping the home comfortable and very clean. The activities at the care home were one of the things we really appreciated. A wonderful variety, with plenty of activities taking place throughout the day, catering for different interests and abilities. It was lovely to see residents being encouraged to take part, socialise and enjoy themselves.

Alice Court is a first-rate establishment that is finding its feet through the teething problems of a new home, but this is evident to see in the manager's leadership, and little attention to detail, plus the staff's willingness to listen and treat Dad as a person, not a being - the result is that he wants to stay full time!

After a stay in hospital my Mum needed some TLC to get mobile again. She had till this time been very anti any sort of care home and very independent. We knew her concerns would change once she saw Alice Court Care Home. I think we have a convert, everyone has been so welcoming, from the very first contact with her in the hospital, to the welcome as she walked through the door. It felt like home for her immediately.
She is smiling with every visit and loves the staff, they are getting her involved in the activities and she is making new friends with the other residents. She loves having the run of the place and there is so much choice where to spend ger time and who to talk to next. Her world had been shrinking and now it seems boundless again. I cannot recommend Alice Court Care Home enough.
