My dear Dad was discharged from hospital into a home and it was a very difficult time for him and the family. After a recommendation, Donna the manager, came to visit Dad and was just brilliant with him. She treated him with kindness, dignity and respect and quickly understood his needs and why a move
into the right home was important. After visiting 13 different homes, we knew instantly South Lodge was right for Dad. Not just because of Donna's incredible professionalism and expertise but because the food was amazing and the space itself was cosy and clean whilst being spacious and offering different options to relax. We knew Dad wouldn't always want to be with others or alone in his room but he had options and as a family we could go downstairs to different lounges and have our own family time. All staff were wonderful and we fully trusted them. He passed away at the home and the end of life care was exceptional. They did everything possible to look after us all. Forever thankful.

Friendly attitude amongst the staff and facilities are clean and tidy.
A varied range of activities are provided and residents are encouraged to participate.

Mum has been in Lady Jane for over a year. She settled well, being reassured that should she need help there were people on hand. There have been some issues, but they are dealt with quickly and kindly. The staff are always cheerful and helpful, showing care and consideration to everyone. Mum's room
is big and she has been able to bring some of her own furniture. Being a fairly new home, it is light and airy with wide corridors.

The Lady Jane has been exactly what my mother needed. You are always greeted by a smile and a hello on arrival, the Care Staff have taken 'ownership' of her ongoing health and her individual needs, and other individuals just want to make her stay as comfortable as possible, whether its the cup of coffee
in the morning with her newspaper or that her new TV is fitted correctly to the wall. The domestic staff have even learnt that its easy to do her room when she's nips out....

On arrival at LJCCH I was most impressed by the ambience of the care home. We were warmly welcomed. Suitable music played throughout the building, creating a relaxed atmosphere the dining room is beautifully presented and the menus offer a good choice. All the staff treat those in their care with dignity-
and patience. I feel my wife, due to dementia, is cared for in the best place possible.

Very friendly staff who ensure my mother is cared for to a very high standard. I am impressed by the program of events that are provided and there is a genuine concern for the residents wellbeing. The first time you step through the door in to the Bistro area the home smells fresh & clean, there is a Lovely reception area where everyone is made very welcome. A beautifully set out dining room is on the right. Through the reception is a seated snug and small library on your left & right a large
function room for residents and visitors with big TV lots of comfortable seating. All bedrooms are large with on suite with a variety of facilities overlooking the gardens and some rooms with separate kitchenette and bedrooms for singles or couples.
The care and attention by the care team is second to none, my mum had a wonderful 6 years and was extremely happy.
Staff said she was always laughing & joking with them. Gardening was her great love in life so the gardens made it very much home from home with easy accces every day. We highly recommend South Lodge in caring for your loved one's.
The Manager runs monthly meetings with Residents Families for updates and feed back.

My dad stayed at South Lodge for a 2 week respite break over Christmas 2025.
I can't recommend South Lodge enough starting from my initial contact. Donna the care home manager came to visit my dad at home before his stay and was so good with him.
All of the staff during his stay were so friendly
and all of my family that visited my dad during his stay soon very highly of the staff.
I would definitely recommend South Lodge and would definitely use again when we require respite care.

way. Very impressed with the personal touch he received on his birthday when he was taken out for a meal by one of the staff. Hinckley House is a very happy place.

My mother has been a resident at South Lodge since May 2025.
She absolutely loves being there! The care and love she receives from all the staff is of the highest level.
The home is very clean, and the staff are always smiling! Staff turnover is very low/non-existent, which is a testament to how happy
they are!
The food is of excellent quality, and there is always plenty of it.
The residents are encouraged to attend the many activities that are laid on for them. These are always well attended by residents, and the team that runs these are fantastic.
My family is so happy that we chose South Lodge for our Mother. It's the least she deserves!

My father recently passed away at South Lodge, and I would like to give my sincerest thanks to all of the staff. Their professionalism, kindness, warmth and humanity were a perfect example of how a care home should be run. The food was excellent, the gardens were well maintained, the staff are extremely
attentive to all the residents needs, and the activities were daily, and to a high standard. Thank you to everyone at South Lodge, from the manager to the cleaners, for making sure the last year of my father's life was rich, rewarding and worry free. We as a family will never forget your kindness.

Friendly, homely environment.
Staff always willing to help when desired. Residents always seem happy.
Always very clean. Vacuuming seen happening on almost all visits.
Food good, residents like it. Always 2 options per meal.
Coffee and tea in reception for visitors and nice cakes.
Always warm in the
home.
Plenty of recreational options arranged for the residents. Including external arranged visitors. Outings arranged for residents, if they wish to go on them.

Mum moved in for some respite three weeks ago and has settled very quickly. We are making her stay permanent as she is very happy at Lady Jane, and is so well looked after. Very much what she needs as she has vascular dementia. She looks the best she's looked in years, and is warm, content and stimulated.
The carers and team members couldn't do more for her, or for us when we visit. The home is bright, comfortable, clean and takes care of mums every needs. We would very much recommend Lady Jane to anyone, either for respite or long term stays.

As a doctor who has visited many care homes across the Midlands, I can confidently say that Hinckley House stands out above the rest.
My grandmother has been a resident for five months, and every visit reinforces my admiration for the staff's warmth, professionalism, and compassion. From carers and
cleaners to receptionists and activity coordinators, everyone takes genuine pride in their work, something reflected in the residents' smiles.
Communication with families is clear, medications are managed meticulously, and any changes in health are swiftly addressed. The team works collaboratively to ensure both safety and well-being.
What truly sets this home apart is the atmosphere, it feels like a vibrant community rather than an institution. My grandmother is more socially engaged and particularly enjoys the music sessions, especially when "Elvis" performs!
As a doctor, I trust them completely. As a grandson, I couldn't be more grateful.

My mum has been a resident since 2024. It has been a worrying time for our family but we shouldn't have, because this place has been wonderful experience for us all. Seeing how comfortable they made my mother nothings too much trouble treat her so respectfully never have to worry if she's ok the staff

I couldn't be more pleased with the care that my Mum has received, since becoming a resident of Hinckley House care home five months ago. Mum had previously enjoyed a number of respite stays there and I'd been happy with the quality of care on all of those occasions. The staff are extremely caring and
nothing is too much trouble. The carers are very observant and I've been impressed with the way they have picked up on a few possible medical issues already. I visit my Mum almost daily, where she's often in the lounge with other dementia residents and I've noticed how all the residents are treated with the utmost respect and dignity. The activities are excellent, the care home is spotless and it is a huge relief to me and my family that my Mum is happy living there and in such good hands.

Our invite to the August 2025 "beach party" At south Lodge could not have been any better. The entertainers both did a medley of songs to suit all ages and where thoroughly enjoyed by all, even the children had great fun with the bouncy castle and games.
The food and drink laid on by the management
and served by the hard working staff was wonderful, all under a beautiful warm Sunday afternoon.
