We were thrilled to find Elstree View and the moment we both walked im, we both felt that my mother-in-law, who had been in rehab following a nasty fall would finally realise that she could no longer cope with living on her own. Elstree View has given her a new stage in her life, and she seems to be
so very happy with the home, which truly feels like a home. She is loving the meals, the room and hopefully will get to make some new friends.
Reply from Kate Lester, General Manager at Elstree View Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you so much for your lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear that from the moment you walked into Elstree View it felt right for your mother-in-law, especially after such a challenging time following her fall. Knowing she feels happy in her new home, that the carers are supporting her well and seeing her socialising and making new friends is lovely.

From the minute we walked through the doors and were greeted by the smiling, happy staff we felt my 93 year old mum would be happy. She kept saying she must be dreaming as everything and everyone was so kind, caring and friendly. Instead of dreading the coming years, especially the winter, my mum can
enjoy as much independence as she wants but with the bonus of being cared for by lovely staff, delicious meals, lovely surroundings and never feeling lonely. We feel very grateful we found Elstree View for her next chapter in life.
Reply from Kate Lester, General Manager at Elstree View Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you so much for providing such a wonderful review. Hearing that mum feels happy, supported and able to enjoy her independence reassures us that we are doing what matters most. Our team is passionate about creating a kind, friendly and uplifting environment, and your words are a wonderful reflection of that commitment. We are honoured to be part of your mum's next chapter and are grateful that you entrusted us with her care.

Excellent grounds, beautifully maintained, making for lovely strolls in soothing surroundings and a wonderful site for summer outdoor parties/activities. Gradual restoration and upgrading of areas, starting from lounges to rooms. High standard of decor. Very approachable and friendly carers, high degree
of professionalism, Same for management, who are generous with their time and helpfulness. Extra carers always benefit residents in terms of giving company and stimulation. You're right on track and making good progress.

Chorleywood Manor Care Home - Avery Collection

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My sister who is living with dementia has been at Chorleywood Manor since July 2025. Spending a month in Assisted Living and then following a minor stroke in the Dementia unit. The facilities are excellent and the standard of cleanliness, food and care exceptional. My sister was in a poor state of
physical and mental health when she moved to the Manor and extremely depressed. She is now physically so much stronger and healthier, and very happy and content. The carers are skilled and attentive and a wide range of activities are offered throughout the day, she especially loves to attend the highly professional musical events. I cannot visit as often as I'd like and when I arrive unexpectedly my sister is always clean, well dressed and involved in some stimulating activity she does not want to stop for a visitor! I am so pleased she has found a home from home and a caring family at Chorleywood Manor Care Home.
Reply from Tracy Moore, Client Liaison Manager at Chorleywood Manor Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you for your wonderful review, it is very much appreciated. We adore your sister and love her life stories that she enjoys telling us, it is so interesting to hear about our residents lives before they move in with us. Thank you for choosing Chorleywood Manor and becoming a part of our family.

I cannot enthuse enough about my experience, but moreover my Mum's experience. I had done my due diligence prior to purposely making my first visit- un-announced. The welcome was warm, the atmosphere wonderful and the quality of every aspect of life at Chorleywood Manor seemed amazing. I was happily
shown around all rooms by the friendly and empathetic Tracy. I knew immediately this was the perfect fit for my wonderful Mum, who I knew would flourish in spite of her dementia, in such an environment. It is now 6 months since Mum became a resident, initially via respite and then full time. I have never wavered in my opinion about the quality of Chorleywood-the wonderful environment that it is, the quality of all aspects of life there, but most of all the exceptional staff. Without exception they all take care of my Mum so well and to see my lovely Mum so content is totally heart warming when making such a decision on behalf of a parent or loved one. Thank you all
Reply from Tracy Moore, Client Liaison Manager at Chorleywood Manor Care Home - Avery CollectionWhat a lovely review, thank you so much. We really do appreciate this feedback. Elton House Care Home - Avery Collection

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
After visiting many other establishments, Elton House just simply stood out among them all. The necessity of having to place someone with Alzheimer's disease is a harrowing prospect but the extraordinary warm, friendly and very glamorous ambiance here was instantly apparent and very reassuring. My
mother has nothing but praise for the kind and easy-going staff, for the food, for the fact she can easily see the visiting gp, for the availabilty of all sorts of activites yet no pressure to join in should she occasionally not wish to. Much to my relief she also loves her room and bathroom, both of which have the feel of a smart hotel. Relevant equipment and material is there but there is nothing overtly orthopaedic in terms of aesthetics. It is clear a lot of thought has gone into the design of Elton House. The current staff team certainly seems to match this and I am regularly informed of my mother's well-being. I consider myself fortunate indeed to have secured her a place here.
Reply from Jenny Bloomberg, Client Liaison Manager at Elton House Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you for sharing such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. We understand how difficult the decision can be when arranging care for a loved one with Alzheimer's, and we are delighted that Elton House has provided reassurance and comfort for both you and your mother.

It is wonderful to hear that she feels so at home, enjoys her surroundings, and values the kindness of our staff, the food, and the flexibility of activities. We are especially pleased that her room and the overall ambience have brought her such happiness and peace of mind.

Your kind words mean a great deal to our team, and we are committed to continuing to provide the highest standard of care and support. We are grateful that you chose Elton House and consider it fortunate to have your mother with us.

Mum seems really happy and settled at the home. She has dementia and is on the top floor. I feel confident that she is safe and well looked after. The staff are always lovely and friendly to chat to when I'm there, but more importantly- they are always lovely and kind and patient when I see them interacting
with the other residents. The range of activities seems great and although sadly my mum can't talk and tell me what she gets up to, I often see updates on the social media page with pictures of her and others smiling and engaging in lots of things.
The home is kept so clean and beautifully decorated. Putting a loved one into care is such a hard thing to go through, but Chorleywood Manor has been a great choice for my mum.
