Very attentive carers. Kind and compassionate (staff inform you of what they are doing if they cannot respond to requests immediately). Take time to dress me including my necklace! Good range of food to choose from.

My mother moved from Barnet Grange to Avery. I cannot express the familys thanks for the kind, care-intensive care they provide. As a family will feel at ease knowing our mother has the best care. Staff always phone when my mother is unwell. They keep us informed of all personal & physical care.

We had lunch with our friend/resident today. The food was lovely, fresh vegetables, 3 courses. Every member of staff are lovely, so friendly and caring. We were offered coffee + snacks on entry. We had lunch seperately from other residents which made it very personal and private. I'm very impressed!!!

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent care and support my father receives at Acacia Mews. As a family we know he is in safe hands and being treated with compassion and dignity. All the staff are respectful to him and treat him with kindness. On arriving at reception I am always without fail greeted with a smile and warm welcome. The communication with the family is also good and keep us informed on every level of Dads care. A mention must go to the chef/cooks for well presented good meals. Thank you everyone for diligence and kindness.

I was met by all staff with understanding and care, aware that I was a new apprehensive person. Every effort was made to help me settle in and provide meals to suit my "likes". Other residents welcomed me kindly making room at the meal table. I felt that I could settle and be happy.

Acacia Mews is an excellent environment for my mother. She has been very happily resident there now for the last 18 months. The staff are very caring and professional, and the environment is warm and homely. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Activities are good and well run. We are very happy with Acacia Mews and she is very settled there.

My mother has been a resident at Elstree View for over three years. I visit my mum regularly and always find her happy and content. She is so well looked after by all the carers. Most afternoons there are regular concerts, interesting talks and quizzes going on, which she enjoys so much.

For 16 years, I worked for Schopwick surgery and have made all the appointments and printed list of Home care visits through the surgeries in Bushey Radler Elstree Borehamwood. I visited many homes with the doctors and I always remember meeting Steve years and years ago.. I saw the way he treated visitors and staff and my heart always lit up . The last few years I've been caring for my mother since I retired . After viewing every Home I knew that Avery Care Home was the one for me I was greeted by wonderful staff and a warming living atmosphere as soon as I walked in. Stevie greeted me and spoke with such care and understanding. I met Rozie and Kate too and felt so happy. The receptionist greeted me with a lovely smile. My mother came for respite for two weeks but after her second day there she never wanted to leave. To see my mother so happy every day is wonderful. Your staff from the Cleaning staff to Management treat patients with so much care. Thank you so much

My mother has been at Acacia Mews for almost a year now, and every time I visit, I am so pleased that we chose this residential home. She is so well looked after, and the staff are always welcoming and approachable. She has switched to a refurbished room which is lovely and the whole place is clean and a real home from home. Thanks to all the staff!

She is no longer nervous in the night, as she can call the staff if she needs them, there is always someone on hand. She is more relaxed, happier than she has been for years - and she's 97 now!! We cannot thank you enough, to see our mother at this time in her life, having a 'new life' is simply wonderful.

From the moment she arrived, she has been looked after with such kindness, warmth and genuine care. Every member of staff we have met has been wonderful, and it is clear that they really do care about the residents and want them to be happy.

The atmosphere at Elstree View is lovely. It feels much more like a welcoming hotel than a care home, with beautiful surroundings, a relaxed atmosphere and plenty going on. Most importantly, my aunt feels safe, comfortable and very well cared for, which gives us enormous peace of mind.

We are so grateful to all the staff for everything they do, often going above and beyond to make sure the residents are happy and well looked after.
