My 92 year-old Mother has been a resident (requiring support with living with Dementia) - for two months. Despite her moving from her home in the north, she settled into Elton House immediately. Mum is relaxed and happy - often commenting 'how beautiful the indoor and garden spaces are'. She is loving the variety of meals offered from the menu, enjoying the company of other residents - and is known by name - by the enthusiastic staff who always find time to stop and say 'hello'. When we leave Mum, following our visits, there is no doubt that she is safe - and all her needs are being met. Elton House has the appearance of a luxury hotel, and the feel of 'home' - exactly what Mum needs during this time in her life.
It's wonderful to know that she is feeling relaxed and happy, and that she appreciates the beauty of our indoor and garden spaces. We strive to create a supportive...
My Mum went in for respite care for 2 weeks as I was going on holiday and she worries when I am away and not available if she needs me. Although she was wary at first about going in, she absolutely loved it and thought all the staff were wonderful. Following her stay she has decided that she does want to go in as a permanent resident as she just felt much more confident and supported in there than living at home on her own, so I will be looking to arrange that in the near future.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful feedback. We're delighted to hear that your mum had a positive experience during her respite stay with us. It's lovely to know that our staff were able to provide her with the support and comfort she needed, allowing her to feel more confident and at...
All of the staff are caring, compassionate, friendly, and approachable, and nothing ever seems too much trouble. We are always greeted with a warm smile whenever we visit, and communication is excellent, keeping us well informed about our mum's health and wellbeing.
The home itself is clean, modern, and welcoming, while still maintaining a homely atmosphere. The dementia unit feels very safe and secure, giving us real peace of mind.
The food is of a high standard, nutritious, and varied, with alternatives always available to suit residents' individual tastes and preferences. There is also a wide range of facilities and activities, with staff making every effort to ensure they are inclusive for all residents.
After being transferred from hospital six weeks ago in a very poor condition, our mum now seems to be thriving at Elton House and is very happy there.
We feel truly reassured knowing she is being so well cared for.
Thank you Nadia and all the team!
We take...
"We didn't end up using Elton House in the end, as my grandmother's condition changed, but I still wanted to leave a review because the staff were so attentive, understanding and patient throughout. The facilities are excellent, of course, but it was really the kindness and care of the staff that stood out most and made such a strong impression on us.
Our team will be touched to hear that their...
He really enjoyed the many activities, from chair exercises to the music & entertainment.
All occasions were celebrated so thoughtfully, from Chinese New Year and all the Jewish festivals to Christmas, which made a difference.
In the last two weeks of his life, the nursing care he received was truly exceptional. Not every care home has nursing , and without it he would have had to go into hospital. Instead, he was able to pass away peacefully in a place familiar to him with care and kindness.I am very grateful to all the staff for everything they did for him. Many thanks.
It means a great deal to know that your husband found such enjoyment in the activities here and that you felt the team created a warm, inclusive environment by celebrating so many different...
I have now been at Elton House for 3 months. I am very happy here. The staff are really lovely and friendly. My one bedroom apartment is very spacious. The food is of a very high standard. The activities are most enjoyable.
Thank you so much for sharing this lovely feedback. We're really pleased to hear that you're happy at Elton House and have settled into your spacious apartment. Your kind words will be shared with the whole team, who take great pride in providing a caring and supportive environment for our...
Elton House provided Dad with excellent care over the last 18 months, supporting both Dad and us in his last stage. Particularly as Dad came to the end of his life. The compassion of all the staff came to the fore. Care is a hard buisness and these guys do it so well. Thank you.
It was a privilege to care for your dad over the past 18 months and to support both him and your family during such a significant time. Providing compassionate, dignified care, particularly at the end of life is...
My Mother moved into Elton House on 4/11/25 after breaking her hip and wrist and no longer able to live on her own. I can highly recommend this home on every level. The facilities are exceptional. The food is extremely good with a choice of 2 restaurants to chose from. The staff in every department are so helpful and so caring. My mother has adjusted well there and now feels at home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a wonderful review.
We are extremely pleased to hear that your mother has settled in well at Elton House and now feels at home. It means a great deal to us to know that our facilities, dining options, and, most importantly, our staff have made...
Our family cannot thank Elton House Care Home enough for the exceptional care our mum received during her final months. From the moment she entered palliative care, she - and all of us - were treated with compassion, dignity, and genuine kindness.
Although Mum was only there for two months, the nursing staff went above and beyond to keep her comfortable and peaceful, while always taking time to support our family. We were welcomed into the life of the home, and moments such as the Christmas events brought light during an incredibly difficult time.
Elton House feels more like a five-star hotel than a care home, but it is the people who truly make it special. We wholeheartedly recommend them and are deeply grateful to everyone involved, especially Tunde, Simona, the HCAs, and Tracy on reception.Xxxx
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a wonderful review. We are pleased that Elton House could care for your mum during her final months, and that we were able to support your family during such an emotional and difficult time. Providing compassionate, dignified, and person-centred...
The standard of care and attention has exceeded our expectations and the transformation in Mum's wellbeing has been remarkable.
Accordingly, in view of her continuing frailty we have decided that it is in her best interests to remain as a permanent resident. We are extremely grateful for everything Jenny and her team have done to welcome Mum and make the transition from living independently so seamless.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that your mother has settled so well at Elton House and that the care and support provided have exceeded your expectations. We are pleased to know that her transition from hospital to living with us her has been a positive one,...
My Father was admitted to the Memory Floor at Elton House in December 2025. As a health professional, I had wondered whether I would ever be able to find a care home which would meet my very high standards. To my surprise and great pleasure, I have found everything about the Memory Floor to be exemplary. The care is just fantastic, I honestly could not find one single thing less than perfect. The staff there and their manager are a truly special group of people. They look after my Dad with such dignity and respect, it's just lovely. I couldn't have found a better place for him to live.
Knowing that you feel safe and reassured having your father with us is exactly what we strive for at Elton House and to hear that we have met your own high professional standards is...
With late stage Alzheimers we needed specialist care. The carers are outstanding. Nadia and Simona who manage the dementia unit were unfailingly professional, kind and caring, both to my mum and to my family.
My mum was looked after with dignity and respect . She was always dressed, scrupuously clean, made-up and had her favourite perfume applied, even as she approached EOL. Her medical care was excellent, when a doctor was needed, or a nurse, they are called.
I cant recommend the Elton House team more.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this with us, your feedback inspires us to continue providing the highest standard of care.
We're truly grateful that you felt Elton House was the right place for your mum, and it's very touching to hear how supported and at home you felt during...
I feel so grateful my mother has come to your facility, as well as it being beautiful, clean and providing all the activities and wonderful food, the staff go above and beyond, caring, patient, respectful and always with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble, there is never a 'No', everything is possible. Another very important part is my mother is so happy here, this means the world to me. I feel so confident and less stressed knowing how well my mother is being taken care of and I can't thank you enough.
We're delighted to hear that your mother has settled in well and is happy here, and that you feel reassured knowing her care and wellbeing are fully...
We are so pleased with the care our mum and nanny receives as it meens we don't need to worry about her because we know she will be taken good care of in terms of her medication, her hygiene and eating. It is not just these things are monitored, it is also so wonderful to know she has company and takes part in activities.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of our home, your feedback inspires us to continue providing the highest standard of care. I will be sure to share your kind comments with our team, as they are always committed to delivering exceptional support to our residents and their families. We're also delighted to hear that she is enjoying the activities and the support we provide. Best wishes.
After visiting many other establishments, Elton House just simply stood out among them all. The necessity of having to place someone with Alzheimer's disease is a harrowing prospect but the extraordinary warm, friendly and very glamorous ambiance here was instantly apparent and very reassuring. My mother has nothing but praise for the kind and easy-going staff, for the food, for the fact she can easily see the visiting gp, for the availabilty of all sorts of activites yet no pressure to join in should she occasionally not wish to. Much to my relief she also loves her room and bathroom, both of which have the feel of a smart hotel. Relevant equipment and material is there but there is nothing overtly orthopaedic in terms of aesthetics. It is clear a lot of thought has gone into the design of Elton House. The current staff team certainly seems to match this and I am regularly informed of my mother's well-being. I consider myself fortunate indeed to have secured her a place here.
Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. We understand how difficult the decision can be when arranging care for a loved one with Alzheimer's, and we are delighted that Elton House has provided reassurance and comfort for both you and your mother.
It is wonderful to hear...
My grandmother was in Elton House for a few months after coming out of hospital. The care was brilliant, with all the staff being very attentive and caring. The entertainment options were brilliant, as was the accommodation. We felt that whilst there, my grandmother was safe and well looked after.
Thank you for your wonderful review and kind feedback. We are committed to creating a warm, welcoming, and relaxed environment that truly feels like home for our residents. Your words inspire us to continue providing the highest standard of care. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Best wishes to you all.
We were so lucky to get mum a place at Elton House Watford. Not only do the staff cater for the residence but for the visitors, the staff were so caring and very good with mum but also with us especially when she was passing away compared to what we were used to it was like a 5 star hotel. We had to move her from another home due to problems. The rooms were lovely done, food fantastic and it was so peaceful and we could take mum outside on a terrace and get her some fresh air. We were constantly update by the home and the doctors about her needs. I wished we had her there from the start as mum would hear certain voices and would try and smile. The downside was district nurse and his senior but this is not an issue with the care home. Highly recommend this care home to anyone.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review, your kind words truly mean a lot to us. Our staff take great pride in the care they provide and in maintaining a warm, welcoming home, so feedback like yours is always deeply appreciated. We're so glad to hear that you felt confident in your decision to...
Mum spent the last few days of her life in Elton House and the level of care that was shown not only to her, but to us as her family, was extraordinary. Elton House & its team is the epitome of how a care home should be. From its warm welcoming environment, lovely staff and wonderful facilities, makes it a shining example of how it should be done. We cannot thank everyone enough for the care given to Mum, and us, during those few days and will never forget the kindness shown.
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words and for taking the time to share your experience, it truly means the world to us. Our team is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care, and knowing we've exceeded your expectations is the greatest reward.Your appreciation for our...
My brother-in-law was a resident in Elton House Care home, sadly for a very short time before he passed away. All the staff at the care home, the management, carers and his nurses treated him with care, dignity, compassion and kindness for which we were so grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback with us. We were privileged to care for your brother-in-law and grateful for the trust you placed in us. Our team are dedicated to providing not just high-level care, but also a warm and respectful environment where residents feel valued. With best wishes to you and your family.
My brother sadly passed away within 2 weeks of entering Elton house. However the care and compassion he received from all the members of the care and nursing teams was beyond what I expected or even hoped for.
Thank you sincerely for your kind and positive review. At Elton House, we strive to provide a warm, welcoming, and compassionate environment, and it's truly rewarding to know that your experience exceeded expectations. We are truly sorry for your loss and deeply grateful for the trust you placed...

Meet the Team (1)

I have been in the care industry for over 5 years and I am the main contact for families who are looking for a Care Home. I love supporting people, showing prospective residents our stunning home and helping them make the best decision for their loved ones.
Thinking about moving a family member into a Care Home can be a confusing and disconcerting time. Deciding on when it is the right time to move is a big step, it can be daunting and an unsettling time for those involved. I am always available to have a conversation about individual care needs and answer any questions you may have.
Having been through a similar situation with a family member who lived with dementia, I can really understand and empathise with every step of the journey families are having to take. I am passionate about caring and helping people to live well as they grow old and recognise the huge benefits of being in a community filled with love and kindness.
