I found the management very approchable and caring. Don't always find carers to my liking especially agency but overall good.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're so pleased to hear that you found our management team approachable and caring - building strong, supportive relationships is very important to us. We understand that finding the right carer match is crucial, and while agency support can...
The standards of both care and the environment are exceptionally high. The home itself feels more like a luxury cruise ship, with a spiral staircase (as well as several lifts) and lots of break out areas to have a coffee and a piece of cake. It's delightful. The daily activities try to cater for all and certainly bring people together. The team never miss an opportunity to celebrate - big birthdays, Valentine's Day and Christmas was amazing! The food is varied and delicious within the bistro or the main dining room.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback about our home and team. By having a whole home approach we believe it creates a relaxed, warm and friendly environment for our residents to call home. We are pleased to hear you enjoy the activities provided and support given. We look forward to seeing you soon.
My father was a dementia care resident of Elton House for 20 months until he passed away last month. We were really happy with Dad's care during his time at Elton House. The Dementia Care team especially were great and looked after him with great care - even as his dementia progressed. We were so grateful for their care and support. But the way that the Elton House team treated Dad - and us, as we sat with him - during the last week of his life went beyond all our expectations. It was a blessing to us to experience the respect, dignity and love with which we and he were treated. Sitting there with Dad in his room over that last week, in the evenings and over the final night, we saw the level of tenderness in his care. We also experienced the excellent night team which I suspect most residents' families never get to see. We really deeply felt the care, respect and love that they showed to our family and, crucially, to my father.
Thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback about your father's time with us at Elton House. Your lovely comments will be shared with our dedicated team who take great pride in delivering the highest level of care and support to our residents and family members. We were so...
On visiting Elton House everything from reception to care is second to none. All residents laughing, smiling and happy. The staff go above and beyond for residents, even with personal touches, every resident gets a Birthday Cake, the hospitality is fantastic, coffee and cakes amazing. Events food fantastic, and birthday parties are made special. 5 stars for the Manager and Deputy Manager there really is something special about their relationships with residents, it's lovely to see!

My mother had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay for a week's respite. She enjoyed joining in with various activities and said the food was very good. She found all the staff were friendly and kind. She liked her room and said everywhere looked very clean.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are very happy that mum enjoyed her stay and we hope to see her back with us in the future.
After my friend was transferred to Elton House he settled very quickly. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The room and amenities are always clean and inviting. Respectful and understanding people make the day-to-day atmosphere amazing on my visits. I see many happy residents. I would highly recommend Elton House from managers down to cleaning/nursing staff "Just Amazing".
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We're thrilled to hear that you've had such a positive experience with our team and facilities. Your kind words about our staff and home mean the world to us and we're grateful for your trust in looking after your friend.
We have found the care at Elton House Care Home to be outstanding. My mother, post a hospital stay, returned to Elton House extremely unwell. Had it not been for the care of the staff in the dementia unit, I think the outcome would have been very different. They nurtured my mother back to health. The support from the entire team for not just my mother but also us as a family has been amazing. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback with us. Hearing that our care home has made a positive impact on your mother means the world to us and we're grateful for your kind words. It is an absolute joy to have your mother here with us, she is a huge part of our family at Elton House.
Overall amazing and kind staff and management. The rooms are spacious and clean. I especially like the built-in kitchenette which allows residents more freedom and dignity. I am extremely thankful and amazed at one treatment and specialised care my father has received. They have made him feel included, well cared for and safe. The management especially are very kind, funny and efficient.

I recently visited a friend at Elton House care home, and my first impressions of the home were amazing. I was met at the door by the Maintenance Manager who was very helpful and showed me to my friend's accommodation. On walking through the site it was very clean and the staff looked busy but happy. I was offered a drink from Reception on arrival when I also met the Home Manager who was very polite. Whilst I was there on my visit we viewed the garden area which was very clean and tidy with lots of seating and was offered a slice of cake and a drink. Overall experience was very good and my friend is extremely happy and looking forward to my next visit.

Really beautiful care home that feels like a hotel! According to my mother, the food is delicious and the dining room setting is lovely. Lots of activities that cater for everyone. All the staff are very friendly and informal. The carers are fantastic and so helpful in looking after everyone’s needs.

This was my first experience of residential care and I found the experience of a week's respite care interesting and informative. The care was excellent, and the food was not always to my taste but there was always a choice and it was served promptly and with a smile. The activities and comfort were excellent. There was also lots of seating and quiet corners to sit and read, knit, and crochet. I hope to return when my daughter goes abroad in August. Thanks, Elton House.
Thank you for your review and lovely comments, we take great pride in ensuring we deliver high-quality care and facilities for our residents. We miss seeing you each day in our caf but look forward to seeing you very soon when you come back to stay in July as we love having you as part of our 'Elton House' family.
My mother moved into Elton House in December 2022. It was a big wrench for her to give up her flat, and as I saw it, her independence. However, once she saw her now home she was very impressed! Her apartment was lovely with a door opening onto a patio and the garden. She enjoyed all aspects of life at Elton House but especially the cafe! All of the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for her. The care was exemplary. I thoroughly recommend Elton House.
Thank you for the lovely review. We are so pleased you chose our home for your mother's stay. It was an absolute joy to have her here with us, we all miss her. Please come back and visit us soon, you'll always be a part of our 'Elton House' family. With best wishes.
We have had a very good experience here. Excellent facilities and friendly and caring staff. Food consistently good too, tasty and lots of choice. Does not feel like a care home. Happy to recommend it.

I’m very happy with the care my mother receives at Elton House Care Home. The care staff are always friendly, take the time to chat with her and report back to me any concerns they may have. Her room is always clean and tidy and her medication is dealt with in a professional manner at all times. There’s usually something going on in the communal lounges and whilst she doesn’t always want to join in, someone always knocks on her door to let her know what’s happening.

We take great pride in ensuring we deliver high-quality care, facilities and a welcoming home for our residents and their families. Thank you for choosing Elton House for your mother and becoming part of our family. Best wishes.
All the staff knew her well. All her medical needs were cared for. We cannot thank them enough. Her stay was only five weeks as she was terminally ill - her dignity and being pain-free were priority.
It takes a certain type of person to work in care and Elton House has the best. My mum passed away peacefully with her family around her on the 19th March. Again, the care home was so supportive to us.
Thank you Elton House for choosing my mum to care for in her final days - we will never forget it.

Meet the Team (1)

I have been in the care industry for over 5 years and I am the main contact for families who are looking for a Care Home. I love supporting people, showing prospective residents our stunning home and helping them make the best decision for their loved ones.
Thinking about moving a family member into a Care Home can be a confusing and disconcerting time. Deciding on when it is the right time to move is a big step, it can be daunting and an unsettling time for those involved. I am always available to have a conversation about individual care needs and answer any questions you may have.
Having been through a similar situation with a family member who lived with dementia, I can really understand and empathise with every step of the journey families are having to take. I am passionate about caring and helping people to live well as they grow old and recognise the huge benefits of being in a community filled with love and kindness.
