Following a rather traumatic period in hospital our family decided to transfer Mum to Elton House for respite care, initially for a month.
The standard of care and attention has exceeded our expectations and the transformation in Mum's wellbeing has been remarkable.
Accordingly, in view of her
continuing frailty we have decided that it is in her best interests to remain as a permanent resident. We are extremely grateful for everything Jenny and her team have done to welcome Mum and make the transition from living independently so seamless.

My Father was admitted to the Memory Floor at Elton House in December 2025. As a health professional, I had wondered whether I would ever be able to find a care home which would meet my very high standards. To my surprise and great pleasure, I have found everything about the Memory Floor to be
exemplary. The care is just fantastic, I honestly could not find one single thing less than perfect. The staff there and their manager are a truly special group of people. They look after my Dad with such dignity and respect, it's just lovely. I couldn't have found a better place for him to live.

When I visited Elton House I knew instantly that this was the right place for Mum. It felt like home, there was a nice buzz. Residents were mixing with staff and it there it had a homely feel. The rooms were light, spacious and Mum's room was newly rennovated and had nice decor.
With late stage
Alzheimers we needed specialist care. The carers are outstanding. Nadia and Simona who manage the dementia unit were unfailingly professional, kind and caring, both to my mum and to my family.
My mum was looked after with dignity and respect . She was always dressed, scrupuously clean, made-up and had her favourite perfume applied, even as she approached EOL. Her medical care was excellent, when a doctor was needed, or a nurse, they are called.
I cant recommend the Elton House team more.

I feel so grateful my mother has come to your facility, as well as it being beautiful, clean and providing all the activities and wonderful food, the staff go above and beyond, caring, patient, respectful and always with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble, there is never a 'No', everything is
possible. Another very important part is my mother is so happy here, this means the world to me. I feel so confident and less stressed knowing how well my mother is being taken care of and I can't thank you enough.

We are so pleased with the care our mum and nanny receives as it meens we don't need to worry about her because we know she will be taken good care of in terms of her medication, her hygiene and eating. It is not just these things are monitored, it is also so wonderful to know she has company and
takes part in activities.

After visiting many other establishments, Elton House just simply stood out among them all. The necessity of having to place someone with Alzheimer's disease is a harrowing prospect but the extraordinary warm, friendly and very glamorous ambiance here was instantly apparent and very reassuring. My
mother has nothing but praise for the kind and easy-going staff, for the food, for the fact she can easily see the visiting gp, for the availabilty of all sorts of activites yet no pressure to join in should she occasionally not wish to. Much to my relief she also loves her room and bathroom, both of which have the feel of a smart hotel. Relevant equipment and material is there but there is nothing overtly orthopaedic in terms of aesthetics. It is clear a lot of thought has gone into the design of Elton House. The current staff team certainly seems to match this and I am regularly informed of my mother's well-being. I consider myself fortunate indeed to have secured her a place here.

My grandmother was in Elton House for a few months after coming out of hospital. The care was brilliant, with all the staff being very attentive and caring. The entertainment options were brilliant, as was the accommodation. We felt that whilst there, my grandmother was safe and well looked after.

We were so lucky to get mum a place at Elton House Watford. Not only do the staff cater for the residence but for the visitors, the staff were so caring and very good with mum but also with us especially when she was passing away compared to what we were used to it was like a 5 star hotel. We had
to move her from another home due to problems. The rooms were lovely done, food fantastic and it was so peaceful and we could take mum outside on a terrace and get her some fresh air. We were constantly update by the home and the doctors about her needs. I wished we had her there from the start as mum would hear certain voices and would try and smile. The downside was district nurse and his senior but this is not an issue with the care home. Highly recommend this care home to anyone.

Mum spent the last few days of her life in Elton House and the level of care that was shown not only to her, but to us as her family, was extraordinary. Elton House & its team is the epitome of how a care home should be. From its warm welcoming environment, lovely staff and wonderful facilities,
makes it a shining example of how it should be done. We cannot thank everyone enough for the care given to Mum, and us, during those few days and will never forget the kindness shown.

My brother-in-law was a resident in Elton House Care home, sadly for a very short time before he passed away. All the staff at the care home, the management, carers and his nurses treated him with care, dignity, compassion and kindness for which we were so grateful.

My brother sadly passed away within 2 weeks of entering Elton house. However the care and compassion he received from all the members of the care and nursing teams was beyond what I expected or even hoped for.

I found the management very approchable and caring. Don't always find carers to my liking especially agency but overall good.

Elton House is a warm, welcoming and caring home. The care is very professional and the team listen to the needs of the resident and respond appropriately.
The standards of both care and the environment are exceptionally high. The home itself feels more like a luxury cruise ship, with a spiral
staircase (as well as several lifts) and lots of break out areas to have a coffee and a piece of cake. It's delightful. The daily activities try to cater for all and certainly bring people together. The team never miss an opportunity to celebrate - big birthdays, Valentine's Day and Christmas was amazing! The food is varied and delicious within the bistro or the main dining room.

My father was a dementia care resident of Elton House for 20 months until he passed away last month. We were really happy with Dad's care during his time at Elton House. The Dementia Care team especially were great and looked after him with great care - even as his dementia progressed. We were so
grateful for their care and support. But the way that the Elton House team treated Dad - and us, as we sat with him - during the last week of his life went beyond all our expectations. It was a blessing to us to experience the respect, dignity and love with which we and he were treated. Sitting there with Dad in his room over that last week, in the evenings and over the final night, we saw the level of tenderness in his care. We also experienced the excellent night team which I suspect most residents' families never get to see. We really deeply felt the care, respect and love that they showed to our family and, crucially, to my father.

On visiting Elton House everything from reception to care is second to none. All residents laughing, smiling and happy. The staff go above and beyond for residents, even with personal touches, every resident gets a Birthday Cake, the hospitality is fantastic, coffee and cakes amazing. Events food
fantastic, and birthday parties are made special. 5 stars for the Manager and Deputy Manager there really is something special about their relationships with residents, it's lovely to see!

I really feel that I chose the right care home for my husband. I would highly recommend Elton House. His room is a very good size the food is excellent always presented very well with many choices. When you enter Elton House you feel as if you have gone into a hotel, not a care home. This makes it
very pleasant for any of my husband's visitors. All the carers are excellent and very kind.

My mother had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay for a week's respite. She enjoyed joining in with various activities and said the food was very good. She found all the staff were friendly and kind. She liked her room and said everywhere looked very clean.

After my friend was transferred to Elton House he settled very quickly. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The room and amenities are always clean and inviting. Respectful and understanding people make the day-to-day atmosphere amazing on my visits. I see many happy residents. I would highly
recommend Elton House from managers down to cleaning/nursing staff "Just Amazing".

We have found the care at Elton House Care Home to be outstanding. My mother, post a hospital stay, returned to Elton House extremely unwell. Had it not been for the care of the staff in the dementia unit, I think the outcome would have been very different. They nurtured my mother back to health.
The support from the entire team for not just my mother but also us as a family has been amazing. Thank you.

Overall amazing and kind staff and management. The rooms are spacious and clean. I especially like the built-in kitchenette which allows residents more freedom and dignity. I am extremely thankful and amazed at one treatment and specialised care my father has received. They have made him feel
included, well cared for and safe. The management especially are very kind, funny and efficient.
