Westbourne Tower, a premium provider of dementia care, nursing care and residential care, is ideally situated within easy access to the centre of Bournemouth.

Rooms dedicated to respite stays following a hospital visit or when your carer is on holiday. The care home has 114 beds and on-site nursing facilities.

The care home is located a short distance from the centre of Bournemouth, offering a wide range of accommodation options and beautiful, wheelchair-friendly landscaped gardens designed for a gentle stroll or relaxing walk. Pet-friendly, so your four-legged friends can also move in.

A passionate and dedicated team ensure all residents’ individual needs and requirements are met; whether that is arranging for your favourite meal to be created by the in-house chef or arranging activities for you to enjoy.

My sister has been a resident of Westbourne Tower for 2 1/2 years. She has been suffering from dementia this entire period. In the beginning, the attention and affection she received from the care home nurses were brilliant. Now that she is entering the last chapter, the care she has received has been

Very friendly and welcoming home staff cannot do enough for my grandma. Very clean and snack, tea and coffee available. Grandma has a good variety of food to eat. I love coming to visit grandma as its a lovely place to be. Highly recommended to anyone seeing a home for a family member.

My father needed respite care to recover from a fall and being my mother's carer it was great that she could join him and stay in the same room during my father's rehabilitation. The staff are very caring and thoughtful, they have managed to get my father mobile, feeding and washing himself so that
he can return home and maintain some independence. The cleanliness and attention to detail as well as the administration is excellent, a member of staff offered me so much support helping to get my father discharged from hospital and settling my mother in. The food and meal service is like a hotel, with lots of choice and options to suit the individual. The exercise classes have challenged my parents and the gardens are beautiful to sit in and enjoy. I highly recommend Tower care home.

My father-in-law spent the final few months of his life in the care of the team at Westbourne Tower. We fell in love with the Home from the moment we walked through the door on a recce. The staff and residents alike were happy and engaged and knew instantly that it was the right place for him and us.
Ultimately my father-in-law was admitted following a medical emergency and the team managed a stressful (for us) situation without fuss. His room was lovely: light and airy and very large - plenty of room for his pictures, clothes, and various accessories to find space. From the moment he took up residence we knew he was safe, secure and well looked after. The nursing team and carers could not have done more for him or us. We were greeted like family on our visits and they became family to us and to my father-in-law. When he passed it was in the care of people who we trusted. We are thankful we took that first step through the door and my only regret is that star rating stops at 5 not 10.

Hello. Today we visited my mum. My son (her grandson) my grandson (her great grandson) were visiting from Canada. She had such a lovely surprise when her great grandson ran in and gave her a huge cuddle. My sister and partner also joined us for the reunion. Although we hadn't decided what to do for
lunch we all decided to stay in as the weather wasn't t good.
At very short notice we asked if it was possible to have some sandwiches for lunch as we were all sat in the conservatory. The catering staff certainly go that extra mile. We were amazed. We had such wonderful sandwiches (including prawns as its mums favourite) we also had lemon drizzle cake and lovely strawberries. The icing on the cake was that we were offered a glass of wine. It made mum feel so special as that is always what she would have done. She loved to cater for her family.
Thankyou to the catering team. You are amazing. Thanks for making my mum so happy.

We never lose sight of the fact that this is our residents home and needs to be treated as such. Family and friends helps to make our home a special place. Westbourne towers staff take a personal approach to their residents, and always seem caring and kind. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and activity is positively encouraged. Facilities such as hairdressing, chiropody and restaurant are all excellent. The room is spacious and well maintained. Extra
care and medical support when needed is handled very professionally. Every effort is made to help residents settle in and live a full and active life.

The resident is totally satisfied living at Westbourne Tower. The facility is spacious and spotlessly clean. The management style of administration is first class and the director is to be congratulated on her attention to detail. The food is of an exceptional standard with choice of red or white wine.
The service at meal times is excellent. The care provided is friendly yet professional with controlled sympathy administered at a respite level. I am continued to be impressed as the resident is totally happy.

Westbourne Tower Care Home is a first class care home. From the moment we made a tentative enquiry to actually bringing my mother into care a few days later, my mother and all our family have been treated with great care, respect, empathy and dignity. The home itself is modern and clean, the rooms are
a good size and well equipped. The care my mother received throughout her stay was excellent. All the staff were helpful and friendly and went out of their way to meet her needs. The food and choice of menu was superb and there are a vast range of daily activities and outings for residents to enjoy. In sum, Westbourne Tower care home is an outstanding care home and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone whose loved ones are no longer able to live independently.

At Westbourne Tower there are excellent facilities a welcoming atmosphere and the staff at all levels are friendly and helpful. The residents are made to feel totally at home and part of an inclusive family. There is a range of activities to suit the individual requirements of each resident to stimulate
as well as occupy them. Outside visitors of all ages are part of the regular pattern of entertainment to engage residents and provide interesting and interactive activity. The meals look varied and tasty and the residents look forward to the daily menu. The care home is set in beautifully tended gardens which residents can walk or sit in weather permitting.
Overall a wonderful well run care home where residents are very happy and feel cherished.

Just back from an excellent visit to Westbourne Tower care home. This a special place run by a very caring, skilled and attentive staff. Stepping into Westbourne one is immediately struck by the warmth of the ambience quite apart from the spacious surroundings. It was evident that everyone was given
superb attention and their needs were met whether medical or social. There were plenty of staff on hand to simply chat to if needed and a wide variety of activities for the residents to pursue should they wish. The home is set in beautifully tended gardens and although the weather didn't permit it was clear that it was lovely resource for the residents to use in more clement days. What also made a lasting impression is how residents were treated as individuals even being allowed to furnish their own rooms. A caring touch. Well done to all concerned.

The team at Westbourne Towers have been exceptional in their care of my parents. Unfortunately my father became ill shortly after moving there, and there was a rapid and joined up response to his care. They involved us fully within this we could not have asked or expected any better. There are frequent
daily activities, and residents are support to feel at home and to make friends. Every carer, and every member of the team have demonstrated infinite patience, kindness and support.

I have been working in Westbourne Tower Care Home for over 15 years. I have progressed throughout the company from Care Assistant to Lead Care to Reminiscence Coordinator and now Deputy Manager. I am very proud to lead a team, many of whom have been long-service team members, who constantly provide quality care whilst keeping our core values at the forefront of everything we do.

I have been here since it opened in 2006. I can’t believe how time has flown by. Although I already had the skill set I was working as a Bank Chef alongside my own business and was asked to take on the managerial role which was an easy transition. I trained and worked in London, Morocco, France and Italy before returning to the UK and settling in Bournemouth. My food specialities are multicultural and the residents love it when I do theme days. I have been a major part of this home being awarded CQC Outstanding, the CQC assessor loved my secret ingredient “ a bit of love”. I run a monthly Dining Committee where residents can influence what is on the menu, likes and dislikes and I love nothing more than walking around the dining room on a daily basis to ensure their wishes have been followed. I like to surprise residents with their favourite dishes, for special occasions. I have to say I love my job and my residents make me smile every day. I am proud to say I work here.

I bring to the role my experience of managing teams, Interior Design, Floristry, Art, and Teaching and I even played table tennis for Wales! I am inspired by talking to our residents and finding out what they enjoy and what makes them smile, whether that's an entertainer, Tai Chi, Music Therapy, Camera or Theatre Club or 1 to 1 person-centred activities. 110% is put into everything we do here.
