Westbourne Tower, a premium provider of dementia care, nursing care and residential care, is ideally situated within easy access to the centre of Bournemouth.

Rooms dedicated to respite stays following a hospital visit or when your carer is on holiday. The care home has 114 beds and on-site nursing facilities.

The care home is located a short distance from the centre of Bournemouth, offering a wide range of accommodation options and beautiful, wheelchair-friendly landscaped gardens designed for a gentle stroll or relaxing walk. Pet-friendly, so your four-legged friends can also move in.

A passionate and dedicated team ensure all residents’ individual needs and requirements are met; whether that is arranging for your favourite meal to be created by the in-house chef or arranging activities for you to enjoy.

Westbourne Tower encourages residents to stay active, make new friends, nurture interests, learn new skills and pursue favourite hobbies. The Activities Co-ordinator arranges exciting events, trips and onsite activities so there is always something to do.

Mum has been a resident at Avery for the last 18 months. She has benefited hugely from the environment. It gives her comfort, security, caring staff, good food (and drink!) regular and varied social activities. Regular input from the local GP surgery has addressed health issues promptly. As a family
we have seen Mum flourish as she enters her 90s. We have nothing but praise for her care.

This place stands out from the others. There is a luxury hotel feel from the moment you walk through the doors. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are always well cleaned and my grandmother feels very happy and safe here.

My mother has been at Westbourne now for a year and a half, having been at another care home for 7 years, but had to move due to some building issues which resulted in temporary closure. All I can say is, I wish I had found Westbourne all those years ago! My mother has fairly complex requirements and
the team on the reminiscence floor treat her as an individual with the utmost respect, gentleness, patience and humour. Mum has genuinely thrived at Westbourne! I cannot speak highly enough of the team who come in every day to do their best work with our loved ones.

My father has received excellent care since moving to Westbourne Towers. The staff is all extremely caring, thoughtful and professional. The facilities are excellent and the activity programme is very extensive with regular trips out on offer and a full day of entertainment to take advantage of. The
music in the evenings is particularly wonderful and quite unique compared to other care homes I have seen. The home always has a buzz about it and feels like a warm and happy place.

Amazing staff on the 3rd floor. Looked after my mum so well. She was safe comfortable and happy. Her individual needs were respected. My mum was looked after with dignity and compassion, especially on her final journey.

I have aphasia. Our group, Say Aphasia, meets at the care home every Monday morning. The staff at the home are very welcoming and helpful and provide the group with tea, coffee and biscuits, always with a smile.

Dad has lived at Westbourne Tower for over six years and regards it as his home. The staff are highly professional and also very kind and have been wonderful in supporting and caring for him as his dementia progresses. We recently celebrated his 100th birthday, with a lovely afternoon tea party and
a spectacular cake! He is so happy living there and his family is so grateful that we never have to worry about how he's being cared for.

My father has been in Westbourne Tower for less than two weeks but I can already see a huge improvement. He has started to eat again after starving himself for four months and he looks like his old self. The staff are all lovely, kind and caring and treat him with the TLC that he was denied before.
The home is clean and nicely furnished and the food looks and smells delicious.

After researching several options, I ultimately chose to move to Westbourne Tower Carehome. During my visits, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and I had the opportunity to spend time with other residents before finalising my decision.
From the very beginning, I have been met with exceptional hospitality and service from all the staff. I am already feeling at home and have no regrets about leaving my apartment. Thank you for making my transition a smooth and positive experience.

After extensive research, we chose to move my father to Westbourne Tower Care Home. We visited several care homes before making our decision, and the warm and welcoming atmosphere at Westbourne Tower stood out to us. The staff's friendliness and adaptability made the transition seamless for my father.
He had the opportunity to connect with other residents before making his final decision, which reaffirmed his choice. We are very happy to see him settling in.

My good friend has recently moved in after her 98-year-old husband passed away.
She was obviously very apprehensive about leaving her flat which they had shared for many years.
When she made the initial tour of the Westbourne Tower we were both very impressed so the decision was made to move in.
She
settled in very quickly and we are all very happy with the care and attention she has been given by all the staff. Whenever we visit the staff are very friendly and professional and we have no worries when leaving her in their care.
She wasn't eating well at home but now she is enjoying the wonderful meals and indeed has put on a little weight.
A huge thank you to the Senior Director of Community Relations and her team for making this move such a good experience.

Mum has been a resident for three months. She is much improved physically and in her mood. She seems to be enjoying life again. The level of care is excellent, and I have been very impressed at how quickly all the staff get to know residents and their families. Nothing is too much trouble, and it means
a lot to us to know Mum is safe and comfortable. The variety of activities has opened her life up again.

We received very quick comprehensive responses to emails when we made an initial enquiry. We were very impressed when we came to lock around, and I am delighted now that my father has moved in. The staff are very kind, there are lots of activities, and the food looks amazing. My daughter enjoys visiting
Grandpa now that he is closer to us, and the staff welcomes our visits, which is lovely.

I have been working in Westbourne Tower Care Home for over 15 years. I have progressed throughout the company from Care Assistant to Lead Care to Reminiscence Coordinator and now Deputy Manager. I am very proud to lead a team, many of whom have been long-service team members, who constantly provide quality care whilst keeping our core values at the forefront of everything we do.


Working at Westbourne is a privilege and we are lucky to support our residents and each other every day.

I have been here since it opened in 2006. I can’t believe how time has flown by. Although I already had the skill set I was working as a Bank Chef alongside my own business and was asked to take on the managerial role which was an easy transition. I trained and worked in London, Morocco, France and Italy before returning to the UK and settling in Bournemouth. My food specialities are multicultural and the residents love it when I do theme days. I have been a major part of this home being awarded CQC Outstanding, the CQC assessor loved my secret ingredient “ a bit of love”. I run a monthly Dining Committee where residents can influence what is on the menu, likes and dislikes and I love nothing more than walking around the dining room on a daily basis to ensure their wishes have been followed. I like to surprise residents with their favourite dishes, for special occasions. I have to say I love my job and my residents make me smile every day. I am proud to say I work here.

I am delighted to have been recently appointed for this important role, in delivering a varied, stimulating and educational programme for our residents. I like to think outside the box and ongoing feedback from our residents, it enables my talented activity team to deliver, along with our team of amazing volunteers. I bring to the role my experience of managing teams, Interior Design, Floristry, Art, and Teaching and I even played table tennis for Wales! I am inspired by talking to our residents and finding out what they enjoy and what makes them smile, whether that's an entertainer, Tai Chi, Music Therapy, Camera or Theatre Club or 1 to 1 person-centred activities. 110% is put into everything we do here.

I have worked here since 2006, and the things that have remained constant throughout that time are the love, dedication and unfaltering kindness my colleagues deliver every day. No two days are the same; there is always something going on which makes you smile and our residents become part of our extended family. We are committed to filling their days with happy moments.


My role is to market our home and welcome new residents into it, dealing with professionals and family members. I have worked in the care sector since 2012, predominantly in dedicated dementia homes. I have been in co-ordinating positions since 2016. I am currently studying to become a Nursing Associate and my ultimate goal is to become a Registered Nurse. I am passionate about person-centred care and ensuring that our residents live their lives as well as they wish, always upholding their wishes and preferences.

In my personal life, I am married and live in Southbourne. I love the beach, especially in the autumn. In my spare time, I love to read criminal and mystery books and take walks down the beach. I am also an unashamed Harry Potter fan.
