Westbourne Tower, a premium provider of dementia care, nursing care and residential care, is ideally situated within easy access to the centre of Bournemouth.

Rooms dedicated to respite stays following a hospital visit or when your carer is on holiday. The care home has 114 beds and on-site nursing facilities.

The care home is located a short distance from the centre of Bournemouth, offering a wide range of accommodation options and beautiful, wheelchair-friendly landscaped gardens designed for a gentle stroll or relaxing walk. Pet-friendly, so your four-legged friends can also move in.

A passionate and dedicated team ensure all residents’ individual needs and requirements are met; whether that is arranging for your favourite meal to be created by the in-house chef or arranging activities for you to enjoy.

Westbourne Tower encourages residents to stay active, make new friends, nurture interests, learn new skills and pursue favourite hobbies. The Activities Co-ordinator arranges exciting events, trips and onsite activities so there is always something to do.

An amazing home who are taking great care of my grandmother. As a family, we are so pleased she is there, and all the staff are so friendly. They have fantastic meals, and I had a meal with my grandmother, which I really enjoyed. My grandmother also joins in all of the activities, and there is something

I have raised this with the management (months ago) that the facilities on the dementia floor are very poor - inappropriate furniture (worn out, tatty chairs that residents cannot get out of unaided), cramped, inadequate areas for quiet times, dark, dreary and unstimulating. This floor has been allowed
to be "run down" to an unacceptable standard where residents are paying in excess of £7,500 per month!
The dementia staff work well under these difficult conditions and are always very caring. All users of this floor deserve greater consideration.
Poor communication from management is an age-old problem.

A friendly, welcoming home where residents are well looked after by a lovely staff team.
The home is beautifully decorated and maintained, a variety of meals and snacks are provided, and there is a very good range of activities.

My mother has been a resident at Signature of Westbourne for five years. During this time, the core staff haven’t changed, which I think says a lot about the home. The care is exceptional, the staff really do care and always go above and beyond for Mum; they treat her as if she was one of their own

Mum has been in Westbourne for a number of years now, and whilst it has been an emotional experience for me and for the whole family, the peace of mind that Signature brings us, knowing that she is being expertly cared for, is literally god-sent. My friend's mum is here. She is very well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble. She can be a pickle regarding what food she will eat, but the chef rose to this. The staff are so kind and helpful. The room is like a luxurious flat with a kitchen area and a beautiful ensuite. The musical entertainment

My father moved into Signature at Westbourne in November. As soon as I walked into Signature, I knew this was the right place for my father; there was a very upbeat, positive and happy atmosphere. The facilities and accommodation are excellent; the staff are very attentive, happy and caring; the food
and choices are amazing, and there is a very varied choice of activities. The other residents have made my father feel very welcome, and he has developed some good friendships already.
A real selling point for us is that my father has his own apartment within Signature with all his own furniture, paintings and other mementoes.
As a family, we are delighted with Signature, and Dad's transition from living in his own home into a care home was made very easy.

Mum has been on her dementia journey in Signature at Westbourne Care Home for the last four years and I cannot speak highly enough of the love, support and care that she has received since day one. She is now non-verbal but the relationships that she has built with her various carers over the years
mean that she continues to be understood. Most importantly, she feels loved. Signature has weathered her through multiple physical and emotional storms, adjusting her care as appropriate at every step of the way and making sure that we, her family, are cognisant of and comfortable with the decisions they make to keep her safe and comfortable. The environment is elegant and well-maintained, the food is delicious, and there are plenty of activities for those who desire them but, most importantly, residents are treated with respect and love, like family. I could not recommend Signature more highly. My name will be on their books when the time comes!

My mother-in-law has been a resident for circa five years. The staff are amazing; they keep in regular contact, the chef cooks special foods to tempt her, and even the maintenance man smiles and waves to her. Her decline is sad, but the unwavering kindness and dedication of all the staff are humbling.
She truly couldn't be in a better place. Thank you, everyone, for such kindness and love.

I have lived here since September. I am very happy. I am learning Bridge, I run the film club and scrabble club, and I love the music. The chef does special meals for me, and everyone is so friendly. It has enabled me to live my life to the full.

Since being with Signature, the care home ground floor has been changed into a fab place with a lovely decor and colour scheme. The residents are happy, and my friend was looking so well and so happy. It brought me joy as a visitor. Tea had been served, and we loved the cake, and everyone was joining
in singing to the piano joyfully played full of happy memories. My friend's bedroom also looked homely, and we put fresh roses there for her. New arrangements were agreed to by a doctor for Church visits by our friend.

My friend's mum is so so happy. I am humbled by how kind everyone is. The food is amazing, and the activities are interactive, with mini-bus outings three times a week. The dining room is lovely, and the whole home is so clean.

My mum has been here for only eight weeks. The staff are wonderful and very caring. The food is restaurant standard, with fresh snacks and drinks always on hand. I have been working in Westbourne Tower Care Home for over 15 years. I have progressed throughout the company from Care Assistant to Lead Care to Reminiscence Coordinator and now Deputy Manager. I am very proud to lead a team, many of whom have been long-service team members, who constantly provide quality care whilst keeping our core values at the forefront of everything we do.


Working at Westbourne is a privilege and we are lucky to support our residents and each other every day.

Job Title: Dining Service Co-ordinator Joined: 2007

I have been here since it opened in 2006. I can’t believe how time has flown by. Although I already had the skill set I was working as a Bank Chef alongside my own business and was asked to take on the managerial role which was an easy transition. I trained and worked in London, Morocco, France and Italy before returning to the UK and settling in Bournemouth. My food specialities are multicultural and the residents love it when I do theme days. I have been a major part of this home being awarded CQC Outstanding, the CQC assessor loved my secret ingredient “ a bit of love”. I run a monthly Dining Committee where residents can influence what is on the menu, likes and dislikes and I love nothing more than walking around the dining room on a daily basis to ensure their wishes have been followed. I like to surprise residents with their favourite dishes, for special occasions. I have to say I love my job and my residents make me smile every day. I am proud to say I work here.

Job Title: Activities Coordinator Joined: 2018

I am delighted to have been recently appointed for this important role, in delivering a varied, stimulating and educational programme for our residents. I like to think outside the box and ongoing feedback from our residents, it enables my talented activity team to deliver, along with our team of amazing volunteers. I bring to the role my experience of managing teams, Interior Design, Floristry, Art, and Teaching and I even played table tennis for Wales! I am inspired by talking to our residents and finding out what they enjoy and what makes them smile, whether that's an entertainer, Tai Chi, Music Therapy, Camera or Theatre Club or 1 to 1 person-centred activities. 110% is put into everything we do here.

I have worked here since 2006, and the things that have remained constant throughout that time are the love, dedication and unfaltering kindness my colleagues deliver every day. No two days are the same; there is always something going on which makes you smile and our residents become part of our extended family. We are committed to filling their days with happy moments.


My role is to market our home and welcome new residents into it, dealing with professionals and family members. Making a significant decision at a critical time is made easy when we have a beautiful product, lovely food, a great activities programme (including minibus outings) and caring staff, all coupled with happy appreciative residents and family members, this is borne out by our positive carehome.co.uk reviews.

Job Title: Nurse Care Manager Joined: 2022

I have worked in the care sector since 2012, predominantly in dedicated dementia homes. I have been in co-ordinating positions since 2016. I am currently studying to become a Nursing Associate and my ultimate goal is to become a Registered Nurse. I am passionate about person-centred care and ensuring that our residents live their lives as well as they wish, always upholding their wishes and preferences.

In my personal life, I am married and live in Southbourne. I love the beach, especially in the autumn. In my spare time, I love to read criminal and mystery books and take walks down the beach. I am also an unashamed Harry Potter fan.
