I have lived here since September. I am very happy. I am learning Bridge, I run the film club and scrabble club, and I love the music. The chef does special meals for me, and everyone is so friendly. It has enabled me to live my life to the full.

Since being with Signature, the care home ground floor has been changed into a fab place with a lovely decor and colour scheme. The residents are happy, and my friend was looking so well and so happy. It brought me joy as a visitor. Tea had been served, and we loved the cake, and everyone was joining in singing to the piano joyfully played full of happy memories. My friend's bedroom also looked homely, and we put fresh roses there for her. New arrangements were agreed to by a doctor for Church visits by our friend.

Reply from Wendy Blow, Manager at Westbourne Tower Care Home - Avery Collection

Oh, June, that is so lovely. Afternoon tea with Piano music is fabulous on a Tuesday, and the ladies bake the cakes on the premises. We are very proud of our new décor; it is definitely something to smile about!

Mum has only been a resident at Signature for a short time before fully resting. The whole experience of settling Mum, meeting new friends and receiving expert care has been phenomenal. My mother simply referred to Signature as a "lovely hotel", and she thoroughly enjoyed her time here. Thank you for all you have done.

My mum has been here for only eight weeks. The staff are wonderful and very caring. The food is restaurant standard, with fresh snacks and drinks always on hand. The place looks like a five-star hotel, very clean, with beautiful gardens and loads of entertainment and activities. Could not wish for better for my mum - she loves it.

Went to see my friend in this care home; I must say, I was amazed, specifically during the hard Covid time, how the care staff presented.

They were so well educated and kind to us as visitors and to the elderly people. You could tell they have a good relationship between the carers and the residents.

I only have praise for Signature at Westbourne! My father has been a resident there for a number of years, and the care and attention that he receives from all the staff is exceptional, coupled with the excellent level of catering and rest home facilities. As I live overseas, I am particularly grateful for knowing that my father is safe and in good hands, and above, all is happy.

My aunt's health deteriorated over the course of the year, to the extent we were travelling most weekends to see her as she juggled doctors and hospital appointments. As it became clear she would not be making a recovery, we spoke to the incredible staff at Sunrise Westbourne, who was able to bring her to Sunrise to spend her remaining weeks receiving the best possible care within very easy reach of the family. We could not be more grateful to the expert Sunrise team, who were sensitive and efficient, and went far, far beyond what we would have expected in the circumstances. Thank you!

Sunrise Westbourne provided end of life care for my mother (in 2015) and also for my father (May-October 2021). I would not hesitate to recommend them. The staff are all excellent and extremely caring, and the room quality and food were also noteworthy. When visiting, my wife and I were always made to feel very welcome by everyone we met.

I really cannot praise Sunrise enough. Every single person my mother and I encountered was kind, caring, considerate, attentive, professional and compassionate. From the receptionists to the nurses, carers, cleaners, even the handymen and gardeners. The home is immaculately kept with so many small but important extra touches. Faultless.

My mother was only there two months before she passed and was extremely ill, yet she was safe and so well cared for with all her needs from emotional, personal care as well as wonderful nursing care. She was always treated with the utmost dignity and respect during the most difficult time of her life, and I will be eternally grateful.

I have been a temporary resident in the Sunrise nursing home since my discharge 14-days from the clinic following surgery for a double heart valve replacement. During my time with Sunrise, I have been most excellently surprised and encouraged to continue my cardiac rehabilitation programme, and U leave tomorrow far more able than when I arrived. Thank you, Sunrise, and your excellent team, for whom I shall always be most grateful.

Mum has been in Sunrise for 3-years now and has been expertly, professionally, gently and lovingly supported through every stage of her journey with dementia, with a lot of humour along the way. The facilities are second-to-none, but it’s the staff who really make this place a home. I live overseas, and through the, sometimes terrifying, long haul of Covid, I was relieved and comforted to know that Mum was in the best hands possible to keep her safe, and still feeling loved. I’ll never be able to thank the amazing people here enough. In fact, there were times that I wished I was here myself! I cannot recommend Sunrise highly enough.

I have been here since it opened in 2006. I can’t believe how time has flown by. Although I already had the skill set I was working as a Bank Chef alongside my own business and was asked to take on the managerial role which was an easy transition. I trained and worked in London, Morocco, France and Italy before returning to the UK and settling in Bournemouth. My food specialities are multicultural and the residents love it when I do theme days. I have been a major part of this home being awarded CQC Outstanding, the CQC assessor loved my secret ingredient “ a bit of love”. I run a monthly Dining Committee where residents can influence what is on the menu, likes and dislikes and I love nothing more than walking around the dining room on a daily basis to ensure their wishes have been followed. I like to surprise residents with their favourite dishes, for special occasions. I have to say I love my job and my residents make me smile every day. I am proud to say I work here.

I am delighted to have been recently appointed for this important role, in delivering a varied, stimulating and educational programme for our residents. I like to think outside the box and ongoing feedback from our residents, it enables my talented activity team to deliver, along with our team of amazing volunteers. I bring to the role my experience of managing teams, Interior Design, Floristry, Art, and Teaching and I even played table tennis for Wales! I am inspired by talking to our residents and finding out what they enjoy and what makes them smile, whether that's an entertainer, Tai Chi, Music Therapy, Camera or Theatre Club or 1 to 1 person-centred activities. 110% is put into everything we do here.

I have worked here since 2006, and the things that have remained constant throughout that time are the love, dedication and unfaltering kindness my colleagues deliver every day. No two days are the same; there is always something going on which makes you smile and our residents become part of our extended family. We are committed to filling their days with happy moments.

My role is to market our home and welcome new residents into it, dealing with professionals and family members. Making a significant decision at a critical time is made easy when we have a beautiful product, lovely food, a great activities programme (including minibus outings) and caring staff, all coupled with happy appreciative residents and family members, this is borne out by our positive carehome.co.uk reviews.
