Westbourne Tower, a premium provider of dementia care, nursing care and residential care, is ideally situated within easy access to the centre of Bournemouth.

Rooms dedicated to respite stays following a hospital visit or when your carer is on holiday. The care home has 114 beds and on-site nursing facilities.

The care home is located a short distance from the centre of Bournemouth, offering a wide range of accommodation options and beautiful, wheelchair-friendly landscaped gardens designed for a gentle stroll or relaxing walk. Pet-friendly, so your four-legged friends can also move in.

A passionate and dedicated team ensure all residents’ individual needs and requirements are met; whether that is arranging for your favourite meal to be created by the in-house chef or arranging activities for you to enjoy.

Westbourne Tower encourages residents to stay active, make new friends, nurture interests, learn new skills and pursue favourite hobbies. The Activities Co-ordinator arranges exciting events, trips and onsite activities so there is always something to do.

The care home is close to the beaches of Bournemouth and Poole and air, road and rail links (the mainline train station is just five minutes away) are excellent for visiting family and friends. Went to see my friend in this care home; I must say, I was amazed, specifically during the hard Covid time, how the care staff presented.
They were so well educated and kind to us as visitors and to the elderly people. You could tell they have a good relationship between the carers and the residents.

I only have praise for Signature at Westbourne! My father has been a resident there for a number of years, and the care and attention that he receives from all the staff is exceptional, coupled with the excellent level of catering and rest home facilities. As I live overseas, I am particularly grateful

My aunt's health deteriorated over the course of the year, to the extent we were travelling most weekends to see her as she juggled doctors and hospital appointments. As it became clear she would not be making a recovery, we spoke to the incredible staff at Sunrise Westbourne, who was able to bring
her to Sunrise to spend her remaining weeks receiving the best possible care within very easy reach of the family. We could not be more grateful to the expert Sunrise team, who were sensitive and efficient, and went far, far beyond what we would have expected in the circumstances. Thank you!

Sunrise Westbourne provided end of life care for my mother (in 2015) and also for my father (May-October 2021). I would not hesitate to recommend them. The staff are all excellent and extremely caring, and the room quality and food were also noteworthy. When visiting, my wife and I were always made

I really cannot praise Sunrise enough. Every single person my mother and I encountered was kind, caring, considerate, attentive, professional and compassionate. From the receptionists to the nurses, carers, cleaners, even the handymen and gardeners. The home is immaculately kept with so many small but
important extra touches. Faultless.


My mother was only there two months before she passed and was extremely ill, yet she was safe and so well cared for with all her needs from emotional, personal care as well as wonderful nursing care. She was always treated with the utmost dignity and respect during the most difficult time of her life, and I will be eternally grateful.

Mum has been in Sunrise for 3-years now and has been expertly, professionally, gently and lovingly supported through every stage of her journey with dementia, with a lot of humour along the way. The facilities are second-to-none, but it’s the staff who really make this place a home. I live overseas,
and through the, sometimes terrifying, long haul of Covid, I was relieved and comforted to know that Mum was in the best hands possible to keep her safe, and still feeling loved. I’ll never be able to thank the amazing people here enough. In fact, there were times that I wished I was here myself! I cannot recommend Sunrise highly enough.

I have lived in Sunrise for three and a half years. From the beginning, I have found every one of the staff helpful and polite and very willing on all occasions. Service is first-class, the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The food and drinks are good. The various facilities, depending on capability,

I have been so looked after during Covid. Nothing was too much trouble, and we had lots of activities and meals together in the dining room. I don't like staff wearing masks, but understand it's for our safety. The home is so clean and lovely, and the food is amazing.

I have been here since it opened in 2006. I can’t believe how time has flown by. Although I already had the skill set I was working as a Bank Chef alongside my own business and was asked to take on the managerial role which was an easy transition. I trained and worked in London, Morocco, France and Italy before returning to the UK and settling in Bournemouth. My food specialities are multicultural and the residents love it when I do theme days. I have been a major part of this home being awarded CQC Outstanding, the CQC assessor loved my secret ingredient “ a bit of love”. I run a monthly Dining Committee where residents can influence what is on the menu, likes and dislikes and I love nothing more than walking around the dining room on a daily basis to ensure their wishes have been followed. I like to surprise residents with their favourite dishes, for special occasions. I have to say I love my job and my residents make me smile every day. I am proud to say I work here.

I bring to the role my experience of managing teams, Interior Design, Floristry, Art, and Teaching and I even played table tennis for Wales! I am inspired by talking to our residents and finding out what they enjoy and what makes them smile, whether that's an entertainer, Tai Chi, Music Therapy, Camera or Theatre Club or 1 to 1 person-centred activities. 110% is put into everything we do here.

My role is to market our home and welcome new residents into it, dealing with professionals and family members. I have worked in the care sector since 2012, predominantly in dedicated dementia homes. I have been in co-ordinating positions since 2016. I am currently studying to become a Nursing Associate and my ultimate goal is to become a Registered Nurse. I am passionate about person-centred care and ensuring that our residents live their lives as well as they wish, always upholding their wishes and preferences.

In my personal life, I am married and live in Southbourne. I love the beach, especially in the autumn. In my spare time, I love to read criminal and mystery books and take walks down the beach. I am also an unashamed Harry Potter fan.
