I will always be grateful for everything the team did for Mum and for me. It is a care home with a heart.

Very open & friendly staff make you feel you can talk to them.

I had a lovely experience visiting this care home. The home was clean, tidy and welcoming, and all the staff we met were absolutely lovely, friendly and approachable. What really stood out to me was how happy everyone seemed, both the residents and the staff, which created such a warm and positive atmosphere. It was lovely to see residents looking so comfortable, well cared for and happy in their surroundings. Overall, it gave a really good impression, and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a caring and welcoming environment for their loved one!

Initially, when new and not fully occupied, we were happy with care provided, however, staffing levels did not keep up with occupancy levels and we found we were having to advocate continually and at times visit just to ensure that she had a cup of tea. Serious safety concerns such as not having a reliable call system - call button frequently did not work so unable to call for help after falls or simply to ask for routine help. Notes of medical needs/issues not handed over. Inadequate staffing levels led to lack of showers and baths being available, lack of basic health checks and lack of help to attend activities if held on an alternative floor. High turnover of staff and management. Modern decor however not necessarily to taste of older residents. Most permanent staff generally keen to help and caring but simply not enough for subsequent number of residents, particularly inadequate at night if more than one resident needed help. Minibus on site however no available driver.

My mum has been at Braintree Mews since November 2024 and settled in quickly. The staff are always friendly and welcoming each time I visit. They are also good with the residents, friendly and considerate to their needs from what I have witnessed. The home always looks clean and there are lots of activities available to residents. I am very pleased that my mum is happy and well looked after at Braintree Mews.

I have seen Mum smile consistently every day since she came in lait August - something that hadn't happened for about 2 years, so thank you so much.

Any concerns have been dealt with professionally and Dad is always happy, with tells us things are good!

Sadly Mum did not have a very nice experience here. The home itself looked amazing as it was brand new, sadly everything else was a disappointment. Constant chasing for things to be done, and promises never met. I appreciate I cannot go into the finer details on here, but would recommend you think seriously about making this your loved one's new home.

The care mum has received has been exemplary. During her recent recovery from illness the team have gone over and beyond expectation to help her recovery.

My mother was admitted to Braintree Mews for emergency respite. The staff could not have been kinder or more understanding to our family and my mother. She returned for further respite and we now hope she will become a resident. Braintree Mews is the closest to 'home' a care home can be.

Braintree Mews is an outstanding care home. It is stylish spacious and maintained to a very high standard. The staff are friendly, helpful and caring. The food is excellent and the activities are varied and fun. The manager is friendly, helpful and goes above and beyond to make sure the home is run to the highest standard. Overall, it is an outstanding care home and I would recommend it to any family for their loved one.

We recently moved our mum into Braintree Mews Care Home and our experience has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into a warm and inviting environment. The facilities are clean, comfortable and beautifully maintained, creating an atmosphere that immediately puts us at ease. Every member of the team shows commitment and is always respectful, compassionate and friendly. Every interaction and the way they go above and beyond means Mum has settled well and we have peace of mind.

Mum has been here just over one month. The improvement she has made is amazing. This is down to the brilliant and kind care she is getting. Braintree Mews Care Home is an incredible place.

The food is delicious and varied.

We always receive a warm reception when we arrive. All the staff are exceptional.

Overall I have really enjoyed my stay here. The staff have been lovely and helpful. The only issues I have had have been with the quality of the food.

My mother came to Braintree Mews Care Home for respite care. During this time, the whole team were so accommodating and empathetic. I do not live in the UK so it was important mum felt comfortable here. She has settled so well that we have decided to make her stay permanent.

Overall experience for my mother has been excellent. The staff are friendly and can't help enough. The care is over and beyond our expectations. We are so happy with Braintree Mews and my mother has settled very quickly.

Excellent all around. My dad had a good 2-week respite stay. Will certainly use it again.

My husband went in for respite while I went away for a weekend. He loved it, and I'm not sure he wanted to come home! The staff were lovely - everyone knew him, from the receptionist through the carers to the management team, and everyone chatted to him when they saw him. They also knew me when I went to visit him and always used my name, which was a lovely touch and made me feel that my husband was valued. The care he received was excellent, the food was lovely and he was engaged in the activities. I've already booked him in again for next year. The bedrooms and en-suites were lovely, very comfortable and well appointed with everything he could need.
