After a stay in hospital my father needed further time to recuperate before returning home.


The team at Esher Manor were quick to react to our request and were able to provide him with excellent care for his time in recovery before being able to return to his own home.


Everybody involved in the

running of Esher Manor from the care staff to the management were kind and diligent in the care for my dad.

My aunt has been resident at Esher Manor since September 2021, and I cannot fault the care she has received. The staff show loving care and concern for her welfare including her mental wellbeing; they encourage her to join in with communal activities, and eat in the dining room even when she may express
reluctance to do so. The staff communicate well with me when they deem any change to be necessary to her care, and are always willing to discuss issues with me when I ask. The quality of the food is excellent. Since I and other relatives live a very long distance away this all gives us peace of mind which is invaluable. The rooms are comfortable and spacious but can sometimes be over-warm.
My criticism is of Avery accounts department; it is unbelievable that they are unable to issue a single invoice each month with the (prepaid) annuity amount subtracted. Fortunately I can do the mathematics myself but I am unable to set up a direct debit to pay the fees because of this.

I am always impressed with the care my Mum is receiving at Esher Manor. Whenever I visit she is happy, settled and fully engaged in whatever activities are happening. Without exception, I have always found the staff to be caring and attentive to all the residents, and I am so happy to see a relatively
slow turnover of staff which means the staff really get to know the residents and the visiting families. Communication has been excellent and requests have been actioned without reminders being needed. Even mum's budgie is being well looked after!

My parents have regular respite periods and the staff are always extremely accommodating and caring. They require support with self-care in the morning and evenings and the staff are respectful and kind. They are always welcomed so warmly by the staff when they arrive, like they are coming home. Nothing
is too much trouble and we are very grateful to all the staff from the administration to the caring. I would not hesitate in recommending this home.

On the whole we are very happy with the care. Much kindness and support has been shown to us as a family and we know for certain that our father is safe at this difficult time in his life. Thank you.
There have been times when a breakdown in communication has caused issues but this seems to be improving.
One of the things we find hardest is understanding the strong dialects of some of the staff, particularly on the telephone. This does cause stress, especially in challenging situations e.g. phone calls to try and explain a serious health issues when an ambulance has been called out, or on day-to-day health and cleanliness issues. This leads to a need to repeatedly message and re-message to ensure a full understanding has been achieved.
We are grateful for the energy and cheerfulness of all members of staff.

The Home are always friendly and approachable and take good care of our mum. The variety of activities are helping to keep her entertained and she certainly enjoys them, especially the singing. We receive regular updates and feedback from the Home regarding mum's condition or any treatments that are
provided.
Whenever we visit there are a number of caring staff on hand who all take time to talk and be with our mum, which we all appreciate.

Having seen first hand how much happier and safe my auntie feels in their hands I couldn't recommend this home enough. Very unimpressed with the duty of care at Esher Manor (EM). EM was informed that Mum wasn't well and needed monitoring due to possible UTI and therefore likely to have a fall as previously happened. EM informed us she was fine, which we disputed at the time and asked for her to be monitored closely.
An hour later, EM called to say Mum had had a fall & paramedics had been called. 10 hours in A+E, horrific bruising, swelling & 2 fractures to her face, which could have been prevented if EM had listened - not impressed at all. To confound matters, the manager of Esher Manor ignored us when we moved Mum out a few days later. Mum had been there for 2 years! The CEO of Avery Healthcare, who despite saying he'd 'look into the matter' (a phrase used far too often by Avery and certainly by EM) has not followed up (again something that happened often at EM).

From phone call to move in and beyond, the staff have been fully supportive and made the whole process as easy as possible. Great communication and such a lovely atmosphere. My father moved into Esher Manor following surgery for a replacement hip and being unable at well over 90 to be able to look after himself independently any longer. His move in was well-managed, and he was immediately made welcome by both staff and other residents. He has enjoyed the sociability of
Esher Manor and many of the activities. Regrettably, his health has more recently declined, but the levels of care and attention have been excellent.

Very beautiful setting in lovely building. Private en suite very comfortable. The carers were professional, kind and sensitive to my needs. Congratulations to the chef for producing freshly made delicious food. The wine wasn't good. The waiters and waitresses did a good job.

I cannot imagine finding a warmer or more welcoming residential home for my mother. The staff are incredibly welcoming and were endlessly supportive throughout the transition period. They have provided reassurance and advice freely. The accommodation is excellent and the food and activities are wonderful

My mother spent the last few months of her life at Esher Manor. All of the staff were amazing from the unfailingly cheerful and helpful people on reception to the patient and kind carers and the diligent and professional managers. I was also always treated with kindness and thoughtfulness. Mum didn't
really get the chance to use all of the facilities but I saw a brilliantly functioning organisation with very happy residents. I have no hesitation in recommending them wholeheartedly.

Dad's first visit to Esher Manor was for a respite stay and he enjoyed it so much that, when it became necessary for him to move into full time care, he became a resident in June 2023. For the next year he enjoyed everything Esher had to offer - the entertainment, activities, meals, strolls in the garden
and, always, the friendly staff. However, last year, when Dad's health declined badly, all the staff teams adapted to provide an outstanding level of care and support that we will be forever grateful for. Dad was made to feel safe and dignified at all times and that care was also extended to us as a family. As you enter the doors of Esher Manor you are immediately impressed by its appearance, but we would say it is the staff that work within its walls that make this a truly exceptional place. Thank you for caring for our Dad.

My mother has been living in Esher Manor now for almost five years. The first three in assisted living and now in reminiscence. She has passed the age for receiving the royal birthday card, and as her son I am now a reasonable age too. It has been a great relief to me to know that she is well fed, comfortable,
and her declining health is cared for in a very efficient and professional manner. The staff are very attentive and take immediate action in liaising with medical and social services as and when the occasion arises.


I am very appreciative of the numerous cups of tea, biscuits and the occasional treat of a dessert, when I visit. Esher Manor arrange a varied programme of activities, which I think at times are incredibly inventive. So there is always something to talk about and since these are posted on social media it keeps me informed of what is going on in my mother's life. After a visit I always have this uplifting thought. Esher Manor was the right choice for both of us.

My mother had been admitted into hospital over the Christmas and New Year period and on her discharge, we needed to find suitable accommodation to assist with her recovery. Given our enquires were made over the festive period, including a number of bank holidays, the response from Avery at Esher was
always prompt and comprehensive. Nothing seemed to much of a problem and they also kindly made all the necessary arrangements to have my mother transferred from the hospital.
On arrival at Esher Manor, my mother was greeted by the staff and made to feel very welcome. Her room is delightful, spacious and light and kept spotlessly clean. She receives many visitors who are free to come and go as we please and the care staff are always very attentive. My mother is enjoying her stay immensely, and her health is recovering well.
Thank you to all the wonderful, dedicated staff at Esher Manor, you have professionally managed a challenging time and we are most grateful.

Job Title: General Manager

Joined: 2013

I joined here as a Senior Care Assistant in 2013, progressed to Reminiscence Coordinator, managed the Assisted Living Department, and now I am overseeing both departments as a Deputy Manager since September 2019. I also supported the General Manager with Clinical Requirements and the Activities Coordinator with our Activities Programme. In August 2023 I was promoted to General Manager position.


I have been given the opportunity to develop my skills, learn and progress. I am a qualified physiotherapist with a hospital and private sector background. I hold Diploma Level 5 in Health and Social Care. I am passionate about care and dedicated to providing a high-quality service tailored to each person's individual needs. I am proud to be part of the Esher Team.

I joined Signature at Esher as a Senior Care Assistant Wellbeing in February 2019, I was then promoted to Dementia Care Manager in November 2019. I have been working in the care sector since 2003 and I was originally a nurse in my home country. I have managed two Residential Care Homes previously and I hold Level 4 in Health and Social Care. I enjoy working with elderly people, especially with dementia and the smile on their faces gives me a sense of achievement. My priority is to have a good relationship with residents, their families and staff to ensure that they feel welcome and at home.

I recently joined the Esher Manor Care Home Team in March 2025.
I have been working in the Care industry for over 20 years and thoroughly enjoy it.
I've had such a warm welcome from all Residents and Team Members at Esher Manor, and I look forward to getting to know all our lovely Residents and Family members.
I have completed my NVQ level 5, and am very passionate about end of life care.

Hi, I'm Joanna. I joined Esher Manor in February 2019 and can honestly say I have never looked back. Every day is a different day, and I have the privilege of helping families choose the right care home for their loved ones.


From the point that a family makes an enquiry to Esher Manor, I will be able to help with any questions whether it be for short-term respites or permanent care.

I joined Esher Manor in April 2022. I have previously worked within the group for 7 years altogether.


I'm a passionate cook with an eye for detail who has worked in the care sector since 2011, where I gained my knowledge, experience and qualifications.‘PASSION’ was always my top core value.


Cooking is an ‘ART’. As in art, you mix colours and a beautiful picture manifest so in cooking, you have to be creative, full of passion, and imaginative and your meals will be like a piece of art beautifully presented on the plate.


I'm excited to be part of the Avery Collection Family, working with our lovely residents and their families.

I joined Signature at Esher in June 2021 as a maintenance coordinator. It is my first time working in a caring environment and I find it very rewarding. I look after the building repairing or replacing what is broken whilst looking after everyone’s health and safety.

Starting out in the kitchen, I have been fortunate to build my career from kitchen Commis Chef to General Manager within four and five-star hotels in both the private and branded sectors.


Along the way I have been able to travel extensively both in the UK and Internationally, working alongside many creative individuals, teams and cultures. My journey has also included hotel openings, rebranding, concept development and major renovations.


I am now excited to take my next career step into the healthcare sector, something I have been considering since closing down Hendon Hall as a hotel and prior to handing over to Signature at the beginning of 2019, and know my passion for people, food and service will transition smoothly across from hotels.


I am looking forward to learning new skills, getting to know all the residents and their families, as well as supporting and working with, the very experienced and caring team here at Esher.

I have worked as an Activities Wellbeing lead for 6 years, gaining experience of providing a holistic portfolio of activities.
My previous career within the creative sectors and education, have provided me with transferable skills for planning and creating activities, along with the people skills to build rapport with a diverse range of Residents.
I have a strong background working with Community groups, hosting inter-generational projects, and local events.


I look forward to building upon the existing provision of activities, and working with the Esher Manor local Community for new events and outings for our Residents.
