Required a Saturday assessment visit 50 miles away to fit the timings.
Fabulous help over a tough period.

The home is not only a lovely place to be but very clean and comfortable, and the staff are unfailingly polite and caring. The garden is delightful, with access for all and the rooms are well-appointed. For those able to participate, there are many and varied activities.
Here at Sunrise of Esher we endeavor to provide the very best experience for our residents and their families. Thank you for taking the time to share your kind words with us, these will be shared with the team.
Sunrise cared for my mother during the last few weeks of her life. She was treated with the utmost respect and care throughout. The move from her own home to Sunrise was well organised and efficient. The majority of staff were faultless in their care, demonstrating genuine warmth and understanding towards her. As a family, we feel we would like to thank the care staff and management for all they have done for mum and the family.
Firstly, please accept our sincere condolences for your recent loss and thank you for taking the time to share your experience of Sunrise of Esher – particularly at such a difficult time. The team here are so grateful that your Mother had such a positive experience of the home and this extended to family members and friends.
The accommodation is clean and modern. My mother was largely bed-bound and not able to participate in the varied entertainment that was organised for more mobile residents. We will look back on my mother's time at Sunrise as a positive experience at a difficult time.

All the staff are very kind and caring. I have never been refused help. The home has been kept clean. The food is good and ample. The activities are there if we feel like doing them. My only objection is that I feel the cost of the care should be included in the fees, not charged as an extra.
Thank you for taking the time to review Sunrise of Esher. Your feedback is important to us, as is the care and well-being of all of our residents. Here at the community, we have two charges, accommodation and care. The reason for this is that each room at Sunrise of Esher is a different size and it...
Wonderful caring staff, always ready to put our minds at rest over concerns with Mum's health.

My nan is currently in this care home and the staff are great! They are super friendly to both residents and their visitors and do their best to make everyone feel comfortable.

This was my family's first experience of using a care home and came at a very stressful time for us as we were looking for respite care for my father after a fall where he had broken his hip. The Sunrise management team could not have been more helpful, friendly and made the transition between hospital and Sunrise very easy for my father. He then spent a month in Sunrise, and we were always made to feel very welcome by all the staff when we visited. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff. My father was very well looked after during his stay and our first experience of a care home was a very positive one.

Sunrise has provided excellent care for my mother since 2014. Every member of staff have been helpful, kind and caring. We have moved my mother to a nursing home in Sussex, nearer to our with 24/7 nursing for her needs now.
Staff were very hospitable to guests. Welcomed with a complimentary tea/coffee. We had arranged a family meal in the dining room which had been nicely decorated and had a homely feel to it. The food was delicious and all of us enjoyed it. The service was very good.

The Sunrise of Esher Team
Sunrise has cared for my mother well for almost two years in the reminiscence unit. She is a frail lady in her late 90's and I have particularly appreciated the kindness shown here. Her room, food and medical care have been to the high standards expected of what is a premium provider. Administration at head office level is, by contrast, adequate but inflexible and slow to react to changes. The staff in the home itself at all levels have been excellent, but turnover has been high (three changes of general manager in two years). It is very expensive to stay at Sunrise but despite this, I do feel that this home should be considered by all except perhaps those who need full nursing care, as my mother now does.

The building is elegant, the food is superb, the garden is beautiful and my mother could not have been happier.
From the moment she arrived, my mother was treated with dignity and respect by all the staff who went over and above the call of duty. Visiting her was a real pleasure as we were always made to feel so welcome and included. The care they took of my mother was exemplary from the moment she arrived, confused and distressed, to the very end where she died peacefully in her bed and the staff accorded her a 'guard of honour' as she was taken out. We will be forever grateful to Sunrise.

The Sunrise of Esher Team
My father was very happy in Sunrise for 18 months until his death this month. The carers are all so kind, patient and attentive. The home is tastefully designed to look like a hotel, the gardens are beautifully maintained. Special thanks to the staff and the minibus driver who takes residents on outings.

Every care was given to my wife from the first day of her arrival until her end of life in Sunrise of Esher. Thank you all very much indeed.

After two delightful weeks in Sunrise, my respite care remains a very happy memory. Everyone friendly. All use first names and any help, press the button will bring a friendly face with a solution.

The Sunrise of Esher Team
My family and I were extremely impressed with the engaging and professional approach taken by the whole team at Sunrise of Esher. Nothing was too much trouble and on all our visits we were made to feel extremely welcome and always offered hospitality. During the difficult times, empathy and understanding were very evident.
All the staff were exemplary towards my family and friends - sincere thanks.
My mother went to stay at Sunrise of Esher for respite care following a fall. Her recovery was not without problems but the team at Sunrise did all that they could to help mother improve. In fact, I would say they played a major part in helping her get back on her feet, reaching a point where she seemed better than she had for many months. Unfortunately, she then contracted pneumonia from which she never recovered. It was then we saw the benefit of the relationship mother enjoyed with the team at her "hotel" (her words). Given that this was a residential and not nursing home, I had expected to be asked to move mother to a hospital. That wasn't the case and was really surprised and grateful to all the care team for the way they cared for my mother until her passing.
Your feedback is important to us, as is the care and well-being of all of our residents. We take great pride...
We appreciate the high standard of care given to my mum. However, we feel that there is a lack of communication at times. We are not always informed of Mum's condition and have been waiting for a meeting on her welfare for some months.

Meet the Team (8)

I joined here as a Senior Care Assistant in 2013, progressed to Reminiscence Coordinator, managed the Assisted Living Department, and now I am overseeing both departments as a Deputy Manager since September 2019. I also supported the General Manager with Clinical Requirements and the Activities Coordinator with our Activities Programme. In August 2023 I was promoted to General Manager position.
I have been given the opportunity to develop my skills, learn and progress. I am a qualified physiotherapist with a hospital and private sector background. I hold Diploma Level 5 in Health and Social Care. I am passionate about care and dedicated to providing a high-quality service tailored to each person's individual needs. I am proud to be part of the Esher Team.

I joined Esher Manor as a Senior Care Assistant Wellbeing in February 2019. I was then promoted to Dementia Care Manager in November 2019. I have been working in the care sector since 2003, and I was originally a nurse in my home country. I have managed two Residential Care Homes previously, and I hold a Level 4 in Health and Social Care. I enjoy working with elderly people, especially those with dementia, and the smile on their faces gives me a sense of achievement. My priority is to have a good relationship with residents, their families and staff to ensure that they feel welcome and at home.

I have been working in the Care industry for over 20 years and thoroughly enjoy it.
I've had such a warm welcome from all Residents and Team Members at Esher Manor, and I look forward to getting to know all our lovely Residents and Family members.
I have completed my NVQ level 5, and am very passionate about end of life care.

Hi, I'm Joanna. I joined Esher Manor in February 2019 and can honestly say I have never looked back. Every day is a different day, and I have the privilege of helping families choose the right care home for their loved ones.
From the point that a family makes an enquiry to Esher Manor, I will be able to help with any questions whether it be for short-term respites or permanent care.
We love to get involved in Local Community projects at Esher Manor, so I'd love to hear from you if you're holding an event, or think we can help out.

I joined in March 2019. Before starting here, I worked within the public care sector as a Human Resources Assistant and finance and Payroll Manager for over 20 years. I enjoy getting to know residents, families and staff. I support the General Manager and office administration and my door is always open.

I joined Esher Manor in April 2022. I have previously worked within the group for 7 years altogether.
I'm a passionate cook with an eye for detail who has worked in the care sector since 2011, where I gained my knowledge, experience and qualifications.‘PASSION’ was always my top core value.
Cooking is an ‘ART’. As in art, you mix colours and a beautiful picture manifest so in cooking, you have to be creative, full of passion, and imaginative and your meals will be like a piece of art beautifully presented on the plate.
I'm excited to be part of the Avery Collection Family, working with our lovely residents and their families.

I joined Esher Manor in June 2021 as a maintenance coordinator. It is my first time working in a caring environment, and I find it very rewarding. I look after the building, repairing or replacing what is broken whilst looking after everyone’s health and safety.

I joined the company in 2015, and I'm delighted to say that I work in such a wonderful caring environment.
My passion is elderly care, everyone is unique and has an interesting story to tell.
I always try my best to make sure that our Residents receive the best care and that all of our Team Members feel valued.
I am privileged to have such a fantastic team, making the environment warm and friendly, and a home from home for us too.
