Staff are caring and residents treated with respect. Communication between relatives and the home could be improved but overall, my parents are very well cared for.

All round great experience for my father and for us as his family. If he wasn't going back to his own home, he would be staying here permanently. Thanks to all the staff, particularly the carers who are wonderful.

Every member of staff is really rather wonderful - they are all warm, helpful and very approachable. It is thanks to this fantastic team that my mother has settled well as she was extremely apprehensive about making the transition from her own home to a care home. The accommodation and all communal areas are head and shoulders above other care homes. The activities and entertainment are varied and well planned and every effort is made to accommodate all tastes and interests. I have every confidence and gain comfort from knowing that my mother is being cared for to the highest standard.

Mum has been here for four years. She often says how glad she feels that we found it for her. The staff are kind and respectful to her and generally care and keep her family up to date. She had a pleasant room which is well looked after and kept very clean. The food is good, varied and imaginative. We have had two minor health emergencies and I have seen how very quick and efficient the carers are to provide expert assistance.

My father has been a resident here for just over a year. He is very well cared for, he is very happy and content. It is a great relief to me to know that his medical needs are met to a high standard and I have complete confidence in the staff who care for him. Sunrise is a home from home.

The Sunrise of Esher Team
Sunrise is a friendly and cosy home for the residents with plenty of things available to keep them occupied. Such as visitor talks, entertainers and excursions.
The apartments are comfortable and well appointed.Comforting for the family to see their loved ones well looked after.

My experience of Sunrise has been satisfactory although I have concerns about the management which have been rectified except we have not yet had an excellent activities manager.

Obviously, I would prefer to be in my own home, but I am perfectly comfortable here.

We are very pleased overall with Sunrise. Most of the staff are lovely and caring. Occasionally information isn't passed onto carers when it should have been.

Staff, food, comfort, cleanliness - all first class. A perfect place to spend your last years, nothing seems too much trouble.

The Sunrise of Esher Team
I think there are some great things about Sunrise. The staff seem to genuinely care and there are lots of activities. However, attention to detail for my friend is sporadic. She often forgets to wear her hearing aids and the staff repeatedly forget to remind her. I also take her for dinner and on occasion, despite me calling to remind them, they have forgotten and she ate a meal (as it's so early) when we had booked dinner. Otherwise, they are very good.

The staff are very committed and overall, the care is satisfactory. My mother is a dementia resident, so sometimes there are communication difficulties with the staff talking through her care with me. I find the fees far too expensive.

A warm and caring home where residents are treated with dignity. Lots of activities and outings with an afternoon "social" every day. A lovely dining room which is like a hotel restaurant and I'm informed by my mum that the food is very good. My mother has blossomed since moving in with renewed interest in life. For someone who's 95 that is very special for them.

She found Sunrise of Esher, so we went to visit.
We were given a tour and we felt mum would be happy to have a suite.
We took her along to see for herself and she was happy to move in.
We found that the care she received was exemplary. The fifty or so residents have a high number of excellent carers to always be there to help. Mums rooms were on the ground floor, so no steps to trip her.
Dining was social and food excellent.
Is it expensive? yes. Is it value for money? absolutely.
Mum spent the last years of her life in the best possible place.

Her room is cleaned regularly and the carers look after her well. She tells me that the food is excellent, she enjoys the trips out and the entertainment, this recently seems to be less frequent.

The Sunrise of Esher Team
I selected Sunrise of Esher on the basis of personal recommendation for my relative who was suffering a decline in health and was practically immobile. Sunrise of Esher made a careful appraisal to establish the level of care required. My relative improved noticably under their care until her illness accelerated. She has enjoyed the social contact and activities, especially the outings I cannot fault the care given to my relative, especially in her final days. Sunrise of Esher worked in close collaboration with the hospital to make my relative comfortable. The home is clean and spacious. The staff are exemplary.
I found it easy to settle in and after only a month I feel sure that Sunrise of Esher will be my home for the rest of my days. I particularly like the care taken to provide both physical and mental exercise for those who wish to partake in it. Companionship when needed but equally quiet places when required.
My father was well looked after during the time spent there while his full-time carer had a holiday. The staff were very friendly and attentive and he was encouraged to join in the activities and enjoyed them. I was also given good support from all the staff and found them very friendly and helpful. There was a lovely atmosphere and everyone was happy.
My Mum needed to go into a care home to convalesce after major surgery. We visited several care homes within the area and Sunrise was definitely by far the best that we saw, the administration staff were fantastic and made the whole process so much easier. Mum had a really enjoyable stay, all the staff were so friendly and the food was fantastic. By the end of the two months, it felt like home and she was quite sad to leave.

Meet the Team (8)

I joined here as a Senior Care Assistant in 2013, progressed to Reminiscence Coordinator, managed the Assisted Living Department, and now I am overseeing both departments as a Deputy Manager since September 2019. I also supported the General Manager with Clinical Requirements and the Activities Coordinator with our Activities Programme. In August 2023 I was promoted to General Manager position.
I have been given the opportunity to develop my skills, learn and progress. I am a qualified physiotherapist with a hospital and private sector background. I hold Diploma Level 5 in Health and Social Care. I am passionate about care and dedicated to providing a high-quality service tailored to each person's individual needs. I am proud to be part of the Esher Team.

I joined Esher Manor as a Senior Care Assistant Wellbeing in February 2019. I was then promoted to Dementia Care Manager in November 2019. I have been working in the care sector since 2003, and I was originally a nurse in my home country. I have managed two Residential Care Homes previously, and I hold a Level 4 in Health and Social Care. I enjoy working with elderly people, especially those with dementia, and the smile on their faces gives me a sense of achievement. My priority is to have a good relationship with residents, their families and staff to ensure that they feel welcome and at home.

I have been working in the Care industry for over 20 years and thoroughly enjoy it.
I've had such a warm welcome from all Residents and Team Members at Esher Manor, and I look forward to getting to know all our lovely Residents and Family members.
I have completed my NVQ level 5, and am very passionate about end of life care.

Hi, I'm Joanna. I joined Esher Manor in February 2019 and can honestly say I have never looked back. Every day is a different day, and I have the privilege of helping families choose the right care home for their loved ones.
From the point that a family makes an enquiry to Esher Manor, I will be able to help with any questions whether it be for short-term respites or permanent care.
We love to get involved in Local Community projects at Esher Manor, so I'd love to hear from you if you're holding an event, or think we can help out.

I joined in March 2019. Before starting here, I worked within the public care sector as a Human Resources Assistant and finance and Payroll Manager for over 20 years. I enjoy getting to know residents, families and staff. I support the General Manager and office administration and my door is always open.

I joined Esher Manor in April 2022. I have previously worked within the group for 7 years altogether.
I'm a passionate cook with an eye for detail who has worked in the care sector since 2011, where I gained my knowledge, experience and qualifications.‘PASSION’ was always my top core value.
Cooking is an ‘ART’. As in art, you mix colours and a beautiful picture manifest so in cooking, you have to be creative, full of passion, and imaginative and your meals will be like a piece of art beautifully presented on the plate.
I'm excited to be part of the Avery Collection Family, working with our lovely residents and their families.

I joined Esher Manor in June 2021 as a maintenance coordinator. It is my first time working in a caring environment, and I find it very rewarding. I look after the building, repairing or replacing what is broken whilst looking after everyone’s health and safety.

I joined the company in 2015, and I'm delighted to say that I work in such a wonderful caring environment.
My passion is elderly care, everyone is unique and has an interesting story to tell.
I always try my best to make sure that our Residents receive the best care and that all of our Team Members feel valued.
I am privileged to have such a fantastic team, making the environment warm and friendly, and a home from home for us too.
