My Mother has recently moved into Esher Manor. We couldn't be happier with the care and compassion the staff have shown to her. They have been welcoming, reassuring and incredibly professional. They have taken the time to get to know her and what she likes and dislikes.
The atmosphere is calm, friendly and uplifting, and there is always something going on, whether it's music, crafts, word games, or just having company while watching a film. The home itself is bright, clean and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that make it feel homely rather than clinical.
I've experienced a genuine warmth from the team. Communication with families is excellent too; I feel well informed and involved.
Seeing my Mother settled, content and making friends, I am extremely grateful to everyone at Esher Manor for the outstanding care and kindness provided.
The Team At Esher will be delighted with your wonderful comments.
Over the last 15 months, we have had no reason to regret our decision. My sister is happy, well-card for, has put on weight and seems to be enjoying activities - although this last is hard to track as she can't always remember what she has done.
Esher Manor is certainly not cheap but, in my view, if you have the money, it is better than letting any government have it!
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Esher Manor. We are delighted that your sister is enjoying life at Esher Manor, and enjoying the activities. We appreciate you taking the time to review Esher Manor, and look forward to your next visit.
The apartment and communal facilities are spacious pleasantly decorated and well maintained. Possible useful addition would be 2-3 basic bikes, a jacuzzi, an indoor pool and a sauna.
All feedback is valued and is shared with the team as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining high standards.
This was my husbands first experience in respite care at a nursing home. He stayed for 2 weeks. He has vascular dementia and vascular Parkinsonism . The staff were very caring, friendly and efficient. He has benefited from the care and stimulation he received and he has come home a happier person. His walking is better and he joins in more with conversations . All in all a very good experience for both of us . Would not hesitate to recommend.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Esher Manor. We are delighted that your husbands first experience for respite was such a positive one, and we look forward to welcoming him back at the end of the year.
I found all the staff polite, friendly and very helpful. The room was well laid out and the bathroom facilities were excellent. As I was recovering from an operation I had all my meals in my room, the food being tasty and the room service from the staff being very responsive.
If my situation ever warranted another spell in respite care I would certainly go back there.
Thank you for taking the time to review Esher Manor following your respite stay.We hope that you are continuing to recover well following your operation, and wish you well.
She was understandably a little anxious before she went but once she arrived the staff were so warm, welcoming and kind, she was completely reassured.
Whilst we were away, we were kept updated with emails and photos of Mum and the activities she was taking part in. There are numerous activities daily, which residents are encouraged to join in with but are not compulsory.
When we arrived to collect Mum, she was so happy and relaxed and thoroughly enjoying listening to a singer.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Esher Manor and would say the staff are nothing short of amazing!
Thankyou so much for leaving Esher Manor a wonderful review. The Team are delighted that your mum enjoyed her respite stay and that you were able to relax and enjoy your holiday. We hope your mum will join us again soon.
After a stay in hospital my father needed further time to recuperate before returning home.
The team at Esher Manor were quick to react to our request and were able to provide him with excellent care for his time in recovery before being able to return to his own home.
Everybody involved in the running of Esher Manor from the care staff to the management were kind and diligent in the care for my dad.
Thank you
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Esher Manor. We are delighted that we were able to assist and support your father in his recouperation before returning home.Thank you for your kind words.
Mum has lived there for a year now, in reminiscence, and always speaks fondly of those that look after her. She loves all the musicians, activities and outings and is the happiest I've seen her for a long time.
Avery was the right choice for us.
We are delighted that your mum has settled so well at Esher Manor, and is enjoying many of the Activities.Thank you so much for sharing your experience regarding Esher Manor, this will be shared with the Team.We look forward to seeing you again soon,
My criticism is of Avery accounts department; it is unbelievable that they are unable to issue a single invoice each month with the (prepaid) annuity amount subtracted. Fortunately I can do the mathematics myself but I am unable to set up a direct debit to pay the fees because of this.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Esher Manor. We really appreciate your feedback and are delighted your Aunt is doing so well.We will address your issues regarding the invoicing problems that you have received and come back to you via email.
I am always impressed with the care my Mum is receiving at Esher Manor. Whenever I visit she is happy, settled and fully engaged in whatever activities are happening. Without exception, I have always found the staff to be caring and attentive to all the residents, and I am so happy to see a relatively slow turnover of staff which means the staff really get to know the residents and the visiting families. Communication has been excellent and requests have been actioned without reminders being needed. Even mum's budgie is being well looked after!
Thank you so much for reviewing Esher Manor. We really appreciate your kind words and are delighted that your mum is doing really well, and the budgie! We look forward to seeing you soon.
My parents have regular respite periods and the staff are always extremely accommodating and caring. They require support with self-care in the morning and evenings and the staff are respectful and kind. They are always welcomed so warmly by the staff when they arrive, like they are coming home. Nothing is too much trouble and we are very grateful to all the staff from the administration to the caring. I would not hesitate in recommending this home.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, we so look forward to your parents joining us, they have become part of our family at Esher Manor.
The staff were helpful in getting Mum to settle in. Mum enjoys the activities arranged for the residents, especially the music.
The carers are kind and patient. Mum is treated with respect and dignity.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Esher Manor. We are delighted with your feedback, which will be shared with the Team at Esher. We are delighted that your mum has settled in well at Esher Manor, and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit.
There have been times when a breakdown in communication has caused issues but this seems to be improving. One of the things we find hardest is understanding the strong dialects of some of the staff, particularly on the telephone. This does cause stress, especially in challenging situations e.g. phone calls to try and explain a serious health issues when an ambulance has been called out, or on day-to-day health and cleanliness issues. This leads to a need to repeatedly message and re-message to ensure a full understanding has been achieved.
We are grateful for the energy and cheerfulness of all members of staff.
Thank you for taking the time to leave Esher Manor a review, we are grateful for your feedback and are always looking at ways that we can improve our communication and services.
Whenever we visit there are a number of caring staff on hand who all take time to talk and be with our mum, which we all appreciate.
Thank you for taking the time to review Esher Manor, we really appreciate your feedback. We are delighted that your mum has settled in well, and is enjoying all of the activities. We look forward to welcoming you next time at Esher Manor.
I can't praise the home and the staff enough. My uncle is settled and healthy. There is great attention to detail; a wide selection of entertainment, pretty, changing decor and excellent food. I thoroughly recommend.
Thank you from all at Esher Manor for your kind works and support, we truly appreciate your comments, and taking the time to review Esher Manor.
Having seen first hand how much happier and safe my auntie feels in their hands I couldn't recommend this home enough. We were nervous about how she would settle in and the staff there have made this such an easy transition for her we can't thank them enough. She is entertained and so well look after.
We really appreciate you taking the time to review Esher Manor, and our delighted that your auntie has settled in well.We look forward to seeing you soon at Esher Manor.
Very unimpressed with the duty of care at Esher Manor (EM). EM was informed that Mum wasn't well and needed monitoring due to possible UTI and therefore likely to have a fall as previously happened. EM informed us she was fine, which we disputed at the time and asked for her to be monitored closely. An hour later, EM called to say Mum had had a fall & paramedics had been called. 10 hours in A+E, horrific bruising, swelling & 2 fractures to her face, which could have been prevented if EM had listened - not impressed at all. To confound matters, the manager of Esher Manor ignored us when we moved Mum out a few days later. Mum had been there for 2 years! The CEO of Avery Healthcare, who despite saying he'd 'look into the matter' (a phrase used far too often by Avery and certainly by EM) has not followed up (again something that happened often at EM).
Thank you for sharing your feedback. At Esher Manor we are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care tailored to each resident's needs. Our team works collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and external support services to ensure we address concerns and provide...
From phone call to move in and beyond, the staff have been fully supportive and made the whole process as easy as possible. Great communication and such a lovely atmosphere. The food, room and level of care is outstanding. Regular activities arranged for residents and staff make all visitors very welcome.
Thank you so much for reviewing Esher Manor Care Home. We are delighted your father-in-law has settled in well, and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit to Esher Manor.
My father moved into Esher Manor following surgery for a replacement hip and being unable at well over 90 to be able to look after himself independently any longer. His move in was well-managed, and he was immediately made welcome by both staff and other residents. He has enjoyed the sociability of Esher Manor and many of the activities. Regrettably, his health has more recently declined, but the levels of care and attention have been excellent.
Thank you for taking the time to review Esher Manor Care Home. We are delighted that your father has settled in well, and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit.
Very beautiful setting in lovely building. Private en suite very comfortable. The carers were professional, kind and sensitive to my needs. Congratulations to the chef for producing freshly made delicious food. The wine wasn't good. The waiters and waitresses did a good job.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Esher Manor, we appreciate your feedback and are delighted that your stay with Esher Manor was enjoyed.

Meet the Team (8)

I joined here as a Senior Care Assistant in 2013, progressed to Reminiscence Coordinator, managed the Assisted Living Department, and now I am overseeing both departments as a Deputy Manager since September 2019. I also supported the General Manager with Clinical Requirements and the Activities Coordinator with our Activities Programme. In August 2023 I was promoted to General Manager position.
I have been given the opportunity to develop my skills, learn and progress. I am a qualified physiotherapist with a hospital and private sector background. I hold Diploma Level 5 in Health and Social Care. I am passionate about care and dedicated to providing a high-quality service tailored to each person's individual needs. I am proud to be part of the Esher Team.

I joined Esher Manor as a Senior Care Assistant Wellbeing in February 2019. I was then promoted to Dementia Care Manager in November 2019. I have been working in the care sector since 2003, and I was originally a nurse in my home country. I have managed two Residential Care Homes previously, and I hold a Level 4 in Health and Social Care. I enjoy working with elderly people, especially those with dementia, and the smile on their faces gives me a sense of achievement. My priority is to have a good relationship with residents, their families and staff to ensure that they feel welcome and at home.

I have been working in the Care industry for over 20 years and thoroughly enjoy it.
I've had such a warm welcome from all Residents and Team Members at Esher Manor, and I look forward to getting to know all our lovely Residents and Family members.
I have completed my NVQ level 5, and am very passionate about end of life care.

Hi, I'm Joanna. I joined Esher Manor in February 2019 and can honestly say I have never looked back. Every day is a different day, and I have the privilege of helping families choose the right care home for their loved ones.
From the point that a family makes an enquiry to Esher Manor, I will be able to help with any questions whether it be for short-term respites or permanent care.
We love to get involved in Local Community projects at Esher Manor, so I'd love to hear from you if you're holding an event, or think we can help out.

I joined in March 2019. Before starting here, I worked within the public care sector as a Human Resources Assistant and finance and Payroll Manager for over 20 years. I enjoy getting to know residents, families and staff. I support the General Manager and office administration and my door is always open.

I joined Esher Manor in April 2022. I have previously worked within the group for 7 years altogether.
I'm a passionate cook with an eye for detail who has worked in the care sector since 2011, where I gained my knowledge, experience and qualifications.‘PASSION’ was always my top core value.
Cooking is an ‘ART’. As in art, you mix colours and a beautiful picture manifest so in cooking, you have to be creative, full of passion, and imaginative and your meals will be like a piece of art beautifully presented on the plate.
I'm excited to be part of the Avery Collection Family, working with our lovely residents and their families.

I joined Esher Manor in June 2021 as a maintenance coordinator. It is my first time working in a caring environment, and I find it very rewarding. I look after the building, repairing or replacing what is broken whilst looking after everyone’s health and safety.

I joined the company in 2015, and I'm delighted to say that I work in such a wonderful caring environment.
My passion is elderly care, everyone is unique and has an interesting story to tell.
I always try my best to make sure that our Residents receive the best care and that all of our Team Members feel valued.
I am privileged to have such a fantastic team, making the environment warm and friendly, and a home from home for us too.
